Seljuks Invade Anatolia

Description
This mod is outdated and will not be maintained. I created a far more advanced one here!

As they did historically, the Seljuks now invade Anatolia!

Ok, this is a little early for this war to take place (the Turks did not invade Anatolia until after Alp Arslan's death in 1072). Still, I always hated to see the Byzantines destroy everyone around them, even though they were historically very weak during this time period. The AI would never invade Anatolia as the Seljuks anyway, so now they will!

Improvements in new mod:
1. I'll be giving the Seljuks a new CB to invade most of Asia Minor once they win their war with the Byzantines over Armenia
2. Once the Seljuks declare war a second time (using their new CB), Suleiman ibn Qutulmish will help conquer Asia minor.
3. When the Seljuks enforce demands for that war, most of the land is going to immediately go to Suleiman ibn Qutulmish, who will found the Sultanate of Rûm (he's going to get a lot of spawned troops too and other bonuses to consolidate his control of Asia Minor). Set rival status between the Seljuk Emperor and Suleiman to encourage Suleiman to become independent.

Not achievement compatible.

Yep! Look out for an upcoming mod called "Seljuk Invasion of Asia Minor" or "The Sultanate of Rum" (haven't quite decided on the title). But I'll link it here too!

I'm probably going to wait until the update you're working on to try this out, but I really like the idea you've got going on here, both in terms of history and game balance, agree with Byzantines being goofy OP and also somehow boring at the same time. Looking forward to the event chain you're working on. Your plan is still for the update to be a separate mod?

No he doesn't, yet! That's coming up in the next iteration of this mod.

I Tested your mod a bit and it seems it is compatible with the bookmark mods I use but Suleiman dosent get the sultanate of rum in base game and modded gameplay.

:) Glad to hear it! I hope to get it completely done by this weekend!

That's an interesting idea. That's awesome. I'll have to take a look at that. Making a new culture may present a lot of difficulties, but I'll try to incorporate that as best I can.

Could you also add turkish culture and azer culture as a melting pot or something so oghuz doesn't end up everywhere

Yeah, I think Paradox just has to do something about Byzantium. I agree, it's way too easy right now, with the whole primogeniture + most valuable province in the game thing. I hope there are other mods that can make it more challenging!
