CS:GO - How to get a rainbow crosshair

Just a simple guide on how to get a pretty rainbow crosshair.

Here's a small preview to visualize what the crosshair looks like in the game
　
　

WARNING:

For some people the crosshair prevents you from moving etc...
Just don't be stupid, the commands I gave are for a qwerty keyboard and the basic csgo keys (CTRL to crouch and SPACE to jump). You just need to change the keys as it suits you
　

- First way to do it

　

1) Enable de console.

The first way to create this crosshair is to launch csgo and activate the developer console if you haven't already done so.

In the main menu, go to the options, game option then activate the same thing shown in the screenshot.



Open the console with the assigned keyboard shortcut.
Try ` or ² , if it doesn't work go to the options and change the key.

2) Paste the commands

Now that the console is open, copy each line, paste it and press Enter.

bind w "+forward; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind s "+back; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind a "+moveleft; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind d "+moveright; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind CTRL "+duck; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind SPACE "+jump; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind MOUSE1 "+attack; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"

3) Well done ! Now you have a kawaii rainbow crosshair

You now own an incredible crosshair, but beware of epileptics

-- How to undo it

To undo it, just repaste the same commands but delete the "toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5".
For exemple it should look like this: bind w "+forward"

- Second way to do it

　

1) Go to your game directory

By default, cs:go is installed in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg

2) Create a .cfg file

Once you are in the folder, create a text file.
Call it as you want then delete the ".txt" at the end and replace it with ".cfg".
If you don't see the ".txt" at the end of your file's name, then google "how to show file extension"

You should now have a file called: file_name.cfg

Now right click on your file and edit it with notepad.
Copy and paste this code and save the file.

bind w "+forward; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind s "+back; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind a "+moveleft; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind d "+moveright; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind CTRL "+duck; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind SPACE "+jump; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"
bind MOUSE1 "+attack; toggle cl_crosshaircolor 1 2 3 4 5"

3) Modify CS:GO's launch options

Now start Steam.

Go to your game library, right click on Counter Strike: Global Offensive and go to properties.

At the bottom of the window you will see the launch options, add this:

+exec file_name.cfg

　Don't be dumb, replace "file_name" by the name of the .cfg file you created.

You should now have this:

4) Well done ! Now you have a kawaii rainbow crosshair

All you have to do now is start the game.

To undo it, just delete de .cfg file and the line in the launch option on Steam.
Do not forget to re-bind the keys for your game like WASD, jump, ...
