Thanks for downloading X's Leveling mod.

This is the very first mod to increase the character levels over 100.

This mod increases your level cap from 60 to 150. All levels improve the units skills, but get harder and harder to obtain to keep balance. The final level for each unit, including yours, is harder to get, but gives greater rewards ;)

Changes have also been made to the units line of sight.

Patched : Error on defenders at level 100+

Note: I am aware other mods have ripped this off without attribution.

Actually if you do patch it up, I'm looking forward to it. I haven't played the game in quite some time and having some good mods would be a good reason to go back to it.

@vof. I am aware this is way, way too late... but this is going to be patched out in the next version.

Fun little mod but the range boost on some of the units makes them so broken to use. The berserker doesn't even need to be in melee range anymore and the archer can hit pretty much the whole map without upgrades. While I do like the increased level cap, the reason I downloaded it, some of the range boosts are simply excessive. It makes some skills like the range boost for the archer no longer useful and makes the 'hero mode' way to easy. Even taking on extreme challenges didn't really feel difficult due to this.

While I enjoy the range boost I think berserkers should be pulled back a bit. It seems ridiculously big for any sword of practical size. And definitely too large for one he could swing so fast.

@Xpl0rer can you update just first with the Fix for the defenders and making it playable again?
After that you can still work on V2 of the mod.
@Para well i did XP and Gold on 300 :-p
and will try higher amounts.

@xpl0rer - Sorry, I've been too busy to log into Steam since I posted that comment. Yes, that is what happens. The easiest way to get there quickly is set the experience reward multiplier to 99 in the config file (probably don't need to say that as you know already) but since playing with this mod I've been toying with the Defenders Quest modding 'tools' myself... quite amusing to play around with. So, thanks for looking in to this, and for the mod in the first place as it's given me a kick to start tweaking the game myself. :spazwinky:
