The map
Hey everyone! Here is a full and virtually 100% accurate map for the notorious brains area of Sheol, and it's in that traditional Realms of the Haunting style. The red dots represent the 16 brains.

The brain level of Sheol requires you to navigate a confusing web of tunnels and collect 16 brains, before depositing them into a machine in the main area.

I noticed there wasn't a full and true map for the area, so I was curious if I could create it myself. I was able to make a python script to read the character's ingame coordinates and write them to a file. I did this and ran around the whole area, collecting the coordinates; I cleaned the data up a bit and plotted it in Excel.

I hope this helps!

I meant some day to go back and draw the map using an architectural tool of some kind but just never got around to it.

Personally I'm quite happy with the drawing, but the white background is kind of glaring and clashes horribly with the other maps

Mmm a man of culture! I shall thread the same path after my aging Win7 system dies. Really enjoyed your guide btw, outstanding work. Your map is quite an upgrade to the pioneering effort of Derell Licht here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/derelllicht/4737262122 (the one I meant lol)
With no less that 3 mapping efforts available I won't need so much brainpower for this section :)

First we waited 13 years for a first public rudimentary map made in paint. Then 6 more years passed until much better pen & paper map was drawn. And now finally after 24 years we have achieved map making perfection. Thanks for making this, it will join others in my collection :steamhappy:

Excellent, well done. It took me forever back in the day when this marvelous game came out, even with an old fashioned walkthrough. There are extra's on the discs themselves, such as a video The Making Of. Will see if I can upload. There also was a original game website, lovely.
