Description
Enter the Tolbryndian Airbase, Delta.

Captured during Operation : Vindicate, (A raid on the village to stop transport of highly important stolen technology. The liberation of this location was strategically important for several reasons, primarily it being one of the several places in Tolbrynd that handles heavy cargo aircraft... and it was only a few miles off the boarder. It doesn't take much imagination to wonder why such a base was placed here.

Well its been several months under Imperial control and we have replaced their dirt roads with proper pavement and fixed the runway... since we may or may not have dropped several tons of ordnance on it in the raid. The village is currently being used as a training / staging ground for our military now, in the event of further ventures deep into Tolbrynd territory.

Consequently... Budget Tanks are extremely good training aids for our armor groups and equipment for handling such vehicles has been installed. Budget enthusiasts are welcomed to the wide open expanse to help our crews train.

In comparison with Fortress Island, Airbase Delta is nearly a polar opposite. The central village is surrounded by open fields, there are nearly no corridors to get funneled into, hull down spots everywhere, a giant balcony that overlooks the whole map... and sparse amounts of soft cover.

With the final release of the Advent, comes a renovated version of the map that was used as the main location in a cinematic (Currently unreleased). Due to the size of the map I decided to up the potential player count to a 3v3. The object count is relatively low only being 100 or so more than the Island map, and includes many of the same aspects. Cap time is much longer however to give slower vehicles time to defend their base.

Reload logic.

Functions off of the NumPad 0 Key with infinite ammo turned off. The individual vehicle's gun will be reloaded after firing, which makes for much more interesting gameplay than cannon spam.

Normal - 5 second reload
The standard reload, will also be selected by default if the vehicle's gun is fired.

Autoloader - 3 round drum, 2.5 interclip reload, 25 second total reload
Intended for higher caliber weapons, hurts but after 3 shots thats 25 seconds of opportunity for the enemy.

Low Caliber - 3 second reload
For low caliber weapons only, added to allow tanks with weaker guns to compete.

Note that once a reload type is selected it cannot be changed during the match.

Cap Circles

Each base is set up to give the opposing team half a point per second when capping, and can only be stopped by killing an enemy, if a vehicle dies the base cap will be locked until they respawn... It doesn't matter where they die. Victory is given to the first team to take 100 points.

Points cannot be lost or reset.

Soft Cover

The map also has an assortment of bushes sparsely scattered, while not as abundant, they are larger in size and can hide even large vehicles easily. I would recommend putting the map into playlist mode and turning off name tags for best gameplay. There are two types.

The first bush type is the wall like bush, they are large enough to fully conceal a vehicle from a specific direction... They however have physics enabled and moving objects hiding inside them will cause the bush to give off a subtle particle effect. Long barreled vehicles benefit most as their scopes can see through them.

The second bush type is the large spread out shrub. They can hide larger vehicles and they can often fully hide smaller tanks. When abusing one of these bushes with a correctly sized machine it is entirely possible for your enemy to just drive past. Perfect for ambushes or sneaking past for a b*tch cap.

This map does not have spawn camping protection*

Well what are you waiting for? Go grab a couple of friends, a few budget tanks, and beat the sh*t out of each other while having a good laugh at one another's expense. Bonus points for jumping on top of them or sniping them from across the map with a sh*tbarn.

This Tank is part of The 3rd Empire's Advent Event for the 2020 Christmas season. One of twenty five workshop items unveiled daily through the 1st to the 25th. Remember to stop in daily to see what unholy war machine our engineers have for you to take home for the whole village to enjoy~

The Empire's engineers are not responsible for cancer, substantial fines, loss of citizenship, sudden invasions, declaration of wars, death, or dismemberment caused by these devices. Results may vary.
