VFW Pz.Sfl.IVc - Budget Grade

The Grille 10, Versuchsflakwagen (Literal translation to Trial Flak Vehicle) more commonly known as the Toaster and Flak Bus is a tracked platform built using the components of both the Panzer IV and Sd.Kfz.9 developed through 1942 to 1945, The war ended before any mass production could begin. In essence it is a very heavily modified Panzer IV designed to fit an 88. Weighing in at about 25 tons it was intended to have a fair amount of mobility to give Panzer Divisions mobile Anti-Air cover.

The Vehicle featured a lightly armored folding superstructure that offers minimal protection for the crew, and when folded down allowed full traverse of the gun. During development 3 prototypes were produced originally with the 8,8cm Flak 37, but in 1944 they were rearmed with 8,8cm Flak 41's which were designated Anti-Air versions of the 8,8s.

The Flak 41 was built with the intention of hitting high altitude aircraft using a longer barrel and longer shell casings, capable of throwing a 20 lb (9.4 kg) shell 48,000 ft (14,700m) straight up at an initial 1,000 m/s. This put the Flak 41 on par with 12,8cm AA guns in a smaller lower profile package. Plus an increased rate of fire, achieving 20-25 rpm. It was however in typical German fashion... very complexicated, leading to reliability issues. Only 556 of the guns were produced in total and served exclusively in Germany where they could be easily maintained.

One Pz.Sfl.IVc was supposedly sent with a Flak 37 to Italy for combat trials and served with the 26th Panzer battalion.

The Budget Toaster is a machine built for multiverse. Its 199 blocks total allowing multiple people to be using It or other budget tanks that are balanced between each-other for combat. It is fairly mobile with a punchy x8 gun, but has nearly no effective armor and is a relatively large target.

It also makes a good flag pole.

Mobility mimics the Pz.Sfl.IVc in World of Tanks.

Note that the sides can only be raised / lowered if the gun is facing forward and is not elevated.

Plus a pair of sensors that limit the turret traverse while the sides are raised can be toggled off if they get disrupting after taking damage.
