Dragonlance Huge Ansalon Map

Beschreibung
This map is representative of Ansalon, the primary continent of the Dragonlance campaign setting and novel series, from the years 40 AC (the end of the Dwarfgate War) to 383 AC (the Summer of Chaos).

I went looking for Dragonlance based mods on the Workshop and found there was one map, a relatively small representation of Ansalon, and decided there needed to be a larger one. This map is made in anticipation of expanding to create a scenario for the War of the Lance including custom factions and art, but I felt the map could stand alone (and serve as an example of progress as I'm looking for assistance in completing the mod).

If interested in helping, making suggestions, or just want to follow the progress of the main mod, please go to the Dragonlance Nexus boards and comment in the appropriate thread (I'll post a link at the bottom of these notes), or simply comment here.

Thanks

Whenever you can, whenever you can. I'm just dreaming one day we'll see a full blown MOD for DragonLance series. Thanks for your hard work. I know it's always underappreciated

Right now it's on a backburner in a big way:( I'm involved in a New Vegas mod right now, not to mention a writing project.

I WANT to do this badly, but the time has been elusive. I knock out an XML file once every few weeks. It's still going, but slowly. Once I get some modeling done, I'll link a few screen shots to show progress, but right now there's nothing to show.

Oh man I am WAITING for you to finish! Been reading that book from the beginning. Sometimes I lose myself in times lines but I really hope you finish this mod. What exactly do you need help with? I'm not much of a programmer and model maker but if you need help in finding stuff or researching I'd be more than happy to support!

Good. Planned on getting started a few weeks ago but lost access to my computer. Just got a new one roughly 2 hours ago, so I'll be getting back to the planning process.

Love to get some help on the project once I get to needing models and animations, so if anyone's interested please PM me.

Short answer: Yes.

Long Answer: My world came crashing down on my head just as I was starting to work on this. Lots of bad stuff happened... so this got delayed over and over and over.

It's still delayed, but I make it a point to revisit it regularly... meaning add new stuff to my notes, re-design certain aspects of it, actually play the game to reacquaint myself with everything... but sadly, time has been an issue. Right now, I'm sharing a computer with my brother and he gets priority (since it's his), so I can't have a regular schedule...

But he ships to boot camp next month and the computer's all mine from that point on. So I'm waiting until I can get on a regular schedule.

So, I'm running out of excuses:P Yes, I still plan to do it, but real life's been hitting me pretty hard lately.

Thanks for the offer. I'm in the middle of a move at the moment, so the project's on a brief hold, but I'll contact you once I get going again... shortly after the 17th.

I also commented on the forums post, but I'd be happy to help out with scripting/design stuff. Apparently I miss all the fun stuff since it took me about 3 months to find this.
