Zoom To Cursor

Description
Modifies the camera behaviour such that scrolling zooms in or out while keeping the cursor in the same place.

Inspired by the behaviour of google maps and similar programs, with this mod you can smoothly "point and zoom" to anywhere in your city.

The automatic tilting of the camera is also disabled, so a bit like in cinematic camera mode you can view your city from any angle at any distance. But other behaviour such as the camera inertia is unchanged.

Compatible with CS version 1.17.

Incompatible with:
- ACME (a superset of this mod's functionality)
- EnhancedZoomContinued (kinda broken these days)

Compatible with:
- TotalyFree Camera
- Zoom It!

@Pipo: it seems like ACME now implements the zoom to cursor behaviour as well (it's a setting, not enabled by default). As best I can tell it works exactly the same.

If you are keen to use other ACME functionality then you can remove this mod. I'll keep this up for users who just want the mouse cursor zoom and in case ACME becomes unmaintained which seems to happen to most CS mods over time :(

This is incompatible with ACME :(

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!

ah..ok. Thank you for explaining that to me. I downloaded a camera that gets me up close and personal for my detailing, and that's what I was I thinking this mod did. You guys are the best!

@Rhobium would you be kind to share the source on Github?

@Rhobium thanks for the confirmation, so it is a known issue, I can live with it. This is a great mod.

@StayHungryStayFoolish I have seen the "very close to ground" issue and the functionality also doesn't work brilliantly when you put the camera at a very shallow angle, it tends to throw the camera across the ground. Unfortunately I never found a simple solution to this

@lovely2beme perhaps you could be more specific. the expectation is that if you put the cursor somewhere not in the middle of your screen, then scroll your mousewheel to zoom, the cursor will still be above the same place on the ground afterwards. Rather than the default behaviour where the game zooms in towards whatever is in the centre of your screen.

Is this not working for you?

@lovely2beme it is not about getting closer. It will get closer to your cursor.

I can't seem to get any closer with this, than I do without it. Am I doing something wrong??
