But there are some hurdle i have found on this idea i am still work to over come.
I am Russian, so, my comment can be some difficult to read, but I hope, you understand it!
You could always buy the buildings and put whatever you like inside, all this lets you do is place stuff in the streets and walls at the cost of in-town vendors. The major benefit would be building mat and iron plate production but if you're going to mod anyway there are other mods that let you place those machines indoors.
In case anyone didn't know, the mining spots around town are close enough to automate mining (and strength training) into in-house storage. Also by default the Hub isn't owned by you which PREVENTS RAIDS regardless of how much you actually invest into the town. It is the ideal starter base for those very reasons.
But hey, this is Kenshi. Do whatever you want.
