Mystery Map Scrap Locations

A screenshot guide of the various mystery map scraps and their associated locations.

Chapter One

Found under a table at the hotel near the second rest stop.



Found on a porch at the top of a hill near the crossing intersections north-west of Hammerhead.


Park in the parking lot that is located to the west of Hammerhead, but in the middle of the desert. Go north of the parking spot and around the left side of the large rock face. Continue around the left side until you're on the northwestern face and there will be a ruined building with a section of large pipe standing next to it. The map scrap is located in the pile of rubble at the base of the column holding the pipe.



Found on the bottom shelf of the cart at the Praire Outpost located north-west of Hammerhead. Unfortunately, I grabbed the map scrap before snapping the screen shot, but it's for sure found on the bottom shelf of the cart.

Chapter Three

This guide picks up after Chapter Three, due to the fact that this is the point in time when the rest of the map is opened up.


Head to the Chocobo Race Track and look under the stairway near the grain silo's at the east end of the track.


Note: Make sure to grab this map scrap before doing the story mission involving the dungeon behind the waterfall in order to do the mission and find the map scrap in one fell swoop.
This map is located in a ruined car to the far south of Lestallum. There is a V-shaped crotch in the road to the south of an Imperial base and to the north of the Secullum Pass. The ruined car is relatively easy to spot, and it's about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom of the V shape in the highway.



Park at the parking spot that is just below the southwest entrance to the Vesperpool and kitty corner to where the Regalia is parked is a ruined building. Look inside the ruined building.


Note: This location must be manually driven to in order to access it before advancing the story line past chapter seven.
This map scrap can be found in the yellow bucket behind the second to last house on the left side of Meldacio HQ when entering from Lestallum.


Located at the House of Hexes slightly southwest of Malmalam Thicket. Take the dirt path going left located just prior to the entrance of the dungeon.

Conclusion

This guide is currently a work in progress, but I hope that I shed some light on some of the subjects and that other players found it helpful.
