Let's Play Minesweeper!
So basically, there is a minefield out in the Badlands (the wide open area on the East Side) where there are at least 100 plus mines just chilling around; you come here naturally to solve a gig (sidequest) in that area. (Note that you must have encountered Silverhand in the story before this area is available) Here is an in-game image of me in the minefield.

Each mine depending on the technical ability (lv 3 and 7) required to defuse it gives you varying amounts of engineering XP. I'm also fairly certain they respawn after a time, so if you have a lot of time to waste, feel free to grind out the mines until you have max XP.

this is also prime ground for quick hack grinding simply use friendly and reactivate them after you've disarmed them with tech skill

Funnily enough, this is exactly how I got Engineering to 20, and without having read this guide nor anything else. Was just clearing out the badlands, found the minefield, and wondered whether I could engineer them from close range. Turns out I could. So I spent ages clearing out the entire minefield one at a time.

Thanks for the tip. I find engineering a pain to level "naturally". For those who go out there, don't forget to sleep in a bed beforehand. The 60 minute XP Boost adds up.

you can also rip parts out of most cameras you find which will give you components and some Engineering xp. Turrets too.

Is that a farm? I could just spam ping on any of them, and it gave me normal amount of XP for unique hack. Usually you will get 10%ish on consecutive actions. But not there.:lunar2019coolpig:
