Guide for Warden from a Warden main
De kinglyendimion3
This guide will be an in-depth guide for Warden, keep in mind that this post is NOT A JOKE and I am a legitimate Warden main with currently 50 hours on him at the time of me writing this guide. This guide will be covering strategies, his loadout, gadget etc.
Also this is my first guide, so if I have any formatting errors, please excuse it. The gameplay screenshots are from my own gameplays.

Warden Overview
Warden, as of Y5S4 is a 2 speed 2 amor defender whom brings the glance smart glasses to the table. He is a versatile operator for both roaming and anchoring. I will be going over more in-depth stuff in the upcoming sections.

Warden's Kit
His loadout consists of 2 primary weapons, being the MPX submachine gun, which may be familiar to all the Valk players out there, It is decent, especially now that Warden got the 1.5x scope on it, which increases the fraging potential of the weapon. I personally use it with a angled grip + 1.5x.

His other primary is mossberg (M590A1) shotgun, which might be familiar to the people who play the SAS ops, this is my personal primary as I anchor most of the time, It is good at close range encounters. I use it with laser + reflex sight.

Now for his secondary options, He has a choice between 2. FIrst the P-10C pistol, this weapon is good for players who like to have more accurate shots at their disposal, It has a cute little red dot which could help at times.

His other secondary is SMG-12, this is my current secondary on Warden, It has a high recoil, but with some practice, It will become managable, Vertical grip is a must with this secondary due to the recoil.

Now for his secondary gadgets, he has a Nitro cell and a Deployable shield, both are excellent choices, but I personally run the shield due to me being an anchor.

Glance smart glasses
His gadget has always been very unique for me, His glasses allow him to become:

1. Immune from flashbangs
2. Clear any flash effect
3. Gain sight trough smoke

I will go into more detail about how to use it in certain scenarios in a second, but one thing to keep in mind is that his glasses last for 10 seconds and need 12 seconds to recharge from 0 - 100, but you can activate it when you have the juice to do so, similar to Nokk or Cav. There is a little delay between you clicking and the abillity activating because of the animation that Warden does, so be ready!

Countering Glaz
Glaz is probably the hardest to counter as Warden because Glaz often has the upper hand, but there is a chance, Make sure to always be careful when you know they have a glaz, or better yet, always hold angles with Warden, so when the smoke goes out you will already have the advantage. Also against Glaz, MPX will be better as you will usually not have close quarter encounters with Glaz players. Here is an example screenshot of how I counter Glaz.

Countering Ying
Countering Ying is often pretty easy, as a lot of Ying players forget what Warden does, But watch out! Ying is also immune to flashes, so make sure you are ready. Also you can listen out for the distinct candella sound, especially if they are not cooked, use this to your advantage and activate your abillity early on. Here is another example screenshot:

Countering Blitz
Now Blitz is an interresting one, I used to always lose Blitz 1 v 1s, but nowadays I win 90 percent of the time. For Blitz, always have your gadget active and make sure to use the element of suprise to your advantage, I suggest using the shotgun so you can insta-down a Blitz after hitting his shield to the side, most Blitz players in my experience simply panic flash you, making it look even cooler. Also keep in mind that even if you counter the flash, it does not mean you won the encounter as they can always just meele you or hipfire you, so be ready and be fast.

Countering Capitão
Capitão is probably the easiest to counter, You will mostly see them smokeplanting or using their smokes to break lines of sight, which is the perfect opportunity. You can always listen out for a Capitão, and in my experience, they use fire before smoke, giving you some time to prepare for smokes in advance, just make sure you don't get caught up in flames in advance. These were the 4 main ops to counter.

Additional tips
A good thing to know is what attackers run which secondary gadgets, so you know what to prepare for in advance. Also it is always better to pop your gadget earlier than getting flashed and clearing the effect 3 seconds later while getting killed. Holding angles is crucial for smoke play with Warden. Also you must learn when to play passively and aggressively with his gadget.

Cloaking
This is a strategy that I use to gain an advantage, ever been in a situation where the enemy threw a bad smoke into a corner or just into a stupid spot? How about using this to your advantage, these smokes generally don't break line of sight, but you can position yourself in a way to make it work in your favor and make a seemingly bad attacker smoke even worse to them. That's why i call it cloaking because you cloak in smoke.

This smoke doesn't break the line of sight completely, but I positioned myself in a way to shoot them trough the smoke
Epilogue
Thanks for reading my First guide, I hope you learned something new and will maybe try this operator out more. Let me know what you think below or if you have more tips to share.

Warden is extremely situational. I think that should be added to the guide because he's not a solid choice, but rather just a counter pick. The MPX is a shit tier gun compared to other SMG's, even with the new 1.5x scope. The only set up to run on him is the shotgun and SMG-12. NEVER run laser sight for the love of god, it just gives away the angle you're holding and at higher elo's people will each your lunch if you run it.
