Grindlheim - Immersive Theme World Inspired by Klugheim and Taron

Enter into the theme world of Grindlheim and experience one of the most detailed and immersive, yet believable Planet Coaster creations of all time.

Inspired by Klugheim at Phantasialand, Grindlheim features two unique rollercoasters: K'aros, a fast and intense multi launch coaster with an entwined layout and Ri'kh, a short family coaster whizzing through the depths of the village. With its all around 360° theming and the custom made area and coaster soundtrack, Grindlheim is my biggest and best project, yet.





I started this journey of a project in the end of 2016, shortly after Planet Coaster was released and Klugheim opened at Phantasialand. Finally having the tools at hand to create something that could match the real world inspiration, Grindlheim was the first big Planet Coaster project I started. Soon, the track layouts of K'aros and Ri'kh were finished the same year. But building and perfecting the theming of Grindlheim as well as creating the music and the final showcase video took me 4 more years. Although it wasn't my only project over these years, I spent an incredible amount of time, at least 900 hours and more, into it. Today, in its final version, Grindlheim is made out of nearly 100.000 objects, most of them placed individually.

Today I think it was worth it and I hope you see it that way too.

Two of the five tracks were composed and created by me. The other three are my adaptations of songs from the amazing Vindsvept. He licenses all his music under CC BY 4.0, too.
