How to get around the figure 8 track fast!

This guide will tell you the best racing line around the figure 8 track!

Starting

This section contains the best way to start the race on a figure 8 track.

When strarting a race on a figure 8 track you will be placed in a random position to start. As all the racers begin to go you will want to pull over to the side and get out of the way. You will want to do this for two reasons, 1 at the start there is a lot of crashing that you can get caught up in, 2 you will want to keep your car undamaged for as long as possible this will help you later in taking the corners.
An example of this can be seen below

Cornering

Like in any racing game you will want to take a diamond like entry into the corners.
To do this you must come into the corner wide and then you will want to get your front wheel (left or right depending on what corner) onto or just over the white line as you go round. Also while doing this you must do little drifts to get in nice and tight. To exit the corner fast you will want to get a clean straight drive out remembering the diamond shape (straight, tight turn then straight once again). Going straight out of the corner is crucial for speed.

TenStoryCory, this game has pure destruction derby modes, and it has race modes. Why are the devs going to all the trouble of putting in a starting grid, lap counter and keeping track of position if you are not supposed to race? A full contact race is, to some of us, more fun than merely smashing cars together for the sake of it.

I like to touch the brake a little to get a small drift because when i use the handbrake i seem to lose control a lot and doing a big drift will also make you lose speed.
So yeah i would recommend using the brake compared to the handbrake mainly because its easyier to control.

funny thing one time i knoked a bloke over the fence but seeing he was a bot he just respawned. still cool though

Yeah I play this one alot, got a few insane pileups so far and some over the fence airborn drivers. I don't think you can make them go over the fence but they hit heights above it a few times.
