j2 Christmas map pack (NPC Navigation Update!)

it's that time of year again, cool

A collection of all of the christmas maps I could find used by the guys at the J2 forums. I've never been able to find them all in one place, so here you go. This is not intended to step on this lovely guy's toes, I respect him for doing it first, but he missed a few and I needed to split these up for my friends to use. I also took some fresh screenshots and wrote some half-assed descriptions of each map.

If you find any actual bugs, like missing sounds, let me know on my profile. I will fix it as soon as possible.

I take absolutely NO credit for these wonderful maps. If any of the original authors are unhappy with their maps being included, let me know ASAP and they will be removed.

de_icehouse - tiny map perfectly suited for small player number activites, with a few enterable buildings. map by bobjones[gamebanana.com]

de_xmas_hotel - a sizeable hotel that is actually a bit foreboding, but fun to explore and find secrets in. map by Dr Boo[gamebanana.com]

dm_jolly - a miniscule symmetrical map that is really only suitable for combat with small amounts of players / npcs or screenshots, not great for sandbox. only really included for authenticity, but it looks nice. map by mRgRiM[gamebanana.com]

xmas_j2eve - a lovely medium-large map set in an office with a lot of inside jokes and a fun layout to run around in with friends. very cozy. map by HomicidalApe[gamebanana.com]

xmas_lodge - a medium sized map set in a long lodge in the snow covered in so much christmas decor that any other time of the year it makes you homesick, with very warm lighting and just an overall comforting vibe. map by Nipper[gamebanana.com]

xmas_nipperhouse - a personal favorite, this map is (apparently) a recreation of nipper's home, set in a small snowy canyon. the detail in this map is great for the time and playing on this map with friends always causes some shenanigans. map by Nipper[gamebanana.com] (of course)


fixed some bugs and added navmeshes and nodegraphs to ALL of the maps!
nodegraphs were generated using cpthazama's nodegraph editor tool, and manually looked over / tweaked by me
also used some commands from strawwagen's navmesh optimizer, again with manual checks and tweaks
i wouldn't have bothered doing this if i was just gonna generate ♥♥♥♥ lazily and cram it in, this one was pretty easy though
without these two tools, this wouldn't have happened!
keep in mind i am new to doing this, these will NOT be perfect!
maps were all manually checked and tested with plenty of playtime using arccw weapons and zinv, so it should work for most things you throw at them.
if you notice nextbots aren't going into certain areas on maps, it's intentional
