The L-Cluster never really felt that rewarding considering how much preparation it takes to open the L-Gates, and that it's literally the longest and most complex event chain in the game, only rivaled by the Horizon Signal. But now it's time to give the L-Cluster a second chance!

This mod aims to make the L-Cluster more rewarding while keeping it relatively balanced.

Features:
- New technologies
- New ship components: Nanite Armor and Adaptive Shielding (aka Nanite Shields)
- 2 L-Cluster origins: Regular start where you spawn on a Tomb World, and an advanced start where you spawn on a Ring World with multiple ruined megastructures nearby!
Note: Randomly generated AI empires can't use the origins, custom AI empires can. The advanced start requires Utopia as well, and some megastructures (such as the matter decompressor) will only spawn if you own the required DLC.
- Increased nanite spawn rates

Planned changes:
- Special archaeological sites that can only be found in the L-Cluster
- Expand the L-Cluster
- Nanite shipset (low priority)
- Other small tweaks

Note: I am currently taking a break from modding due to being extremely busy irl, I will be keeping my mods up to date with the new game versions, but I will not be working on adding new content for a while.

The mod overwrites the following:
- d_nanites_deposit
- vast majority of the events from the L-Cluster chain

Should be compatible with any other mod that does not modify the L-Cluster chain or the spawn rate of nanites.

The mod is compatible with A Deadly Tempest!

I think this mod needs an event or something that gives you the tech to terraform the nanite worlds even after 100 years I never got the tech to terraform the planets so yeah kind of hard to play :/

蠢驴的狗屎:DSTpoop:代码不知道出什么问题了,L星门里的星系现在形状不固定了,虽然每个恒星都还是正常的连在一起,但是超空间航路搞得歪曲的难受。

Pretty sure it's because machine didn't have a world preference before this patch.

With new patch, starting in the clusters doesn't change the machine species preference to tomb world. Making them overly hard.

@Modern Spartan No, just armor and shield. I *wanted* to make a Grey Tempest player crisis path that would unlock weapons, but it's currently not posssible without replacing the regular crisis path. The next update is adding a new player crisis path, so it *might* become possible to add more without overwrites, in which case I'll revisit the idea.

Do the new technologies include weapons? I would love to use your origin and be the Grey Tempest as a proper crisis!

I did the change on my own side, and it works fine for both origins fixing both issues I noted. Thank you for this direct, cool, and to the point mod that I've used for years now!
