please note.. In game if you set to windowed, or borderless window mode the game FIXES at a low res as it was created in.
this is 4:3 and 16:9 but nothing else.
also 1080 is max.
anyone adding different res options that arent in the game, are messing with stuff they dont understand.
Example, can I force a 4:3 1080 into a 16:9 2160 format? Yes
Should you? Heck no!
What you are doing is clipping images, or stretch and expanding them. this is NOT good.
and never set files to read only. Sigh.
also you can always use borderless fullscreen on any res. Just need to know windows.
I cant recommend this. Stick with what the game has, any other options you will be losing quality or quantity or both, as well as adding mem leaks and input lag.
hugs
You usually wanna do this if you have a custom resolution set on your monitor that the game does not support. In my case, I experimented with this and put in 4:3 native resolutions to run on a CRT monitor I have hooked up. But it can also be used for ultra widescreen monitors too if you don't want to use Borderless Fullscreen.
because res options are there..
just confused by how or why..
lemme knows danke
