When they match it's good, when they do it automatically with any mod retexture too? It's better. Unlike other embrasures, which usually use the vanilla texture and modify it, these use the wall texture and apply an overlay separately to add the murder holes. Wall retextures should be natively compatible, as well as this including two aesthetic variants in the "letterbox" and "hole" styles.

It should naturally be compatible with any wall retexture for the vanilla walls, no I won't add more variants, no I won't add options that match additional walls added by other mods.

Include a HugsLib log using Ctrl+F12 in-game with any bug report, regardless of if you see an error, with no log I can't help.

  • Why another embrasures mod?!
Because I wanted one that didn't look out of place next to my retextured walls, mainly.
  • Did you base the aesthetics on the existing ED-Embrasures and Matching Embrasures mods?
Yep, not much else you can do for variety there, circle or square.
  • What percentage coverage do these provide?
It's at 80%, by default anyway. You can change it to whatever in the settings.
  • How long did it take to make this?
Roughly three hours. It's two very simple textures and a tiny bit of C#.
  • Man this lags like mad.
When you use it in place of a few hundred walls it sure can! It essentially renders the wall twice, once for the wall itself and then again for the embrasure slots. Even then it took me 1200 embrasures before there was a significant impact in tests. Basically, if you use this as actually intended, in small sections where you plan to place pawns for defence and not for abuse of the AI not being able to path through it, the impact is not noticeable.
