Axis and Allies Global 1940 2nd ed. [Scripted]

Description
Axis and Allies Global 1940 2nd ed. [Scripted]

Advice: Promote everyone on your table to be able to copy/paste and delete units.
Advice: Read the manual "How to use this table". It is in the corner as custom pdf.

What this does:

-Hover-menu for units to increase (+), decrease (-) and set the quantity of that unit. The checkers to display that quantity are automatically generated. Also the checkers are attached to the unit for easier movement

-Right-click menu to change the occupation of a territory. IPC income will be adjusted automatically.

- Right-click menu to teleport the unit (or all of your selected units) to the attacker or defender side (being placed on its battle value)

- "Combine Units" button to automatically combine your Infantry with Artillery, Tactical Bombers with Fighters and Tanks.

- Right-click menu to toggle convoy sea zones

- Right-click menu to toggle capital ship damage

- Snap Points for Aircraft Carriers for comfortable placement of planes on them

- Counts units on the battle strip automatically, including 5, 3 and 1 Unit Checkers

- Provide "Spawn Dice" button for the attacker side as well as the defender side,
to spawn the required dice to fight that side

- Roll AAA button to spawn AAA dice (calculation on how many dice is done automatically)

- When rolling the dice, the table counts the hits for you and sums them up in the corner of the rolling area

- Calculate building cost automatically and provide a button to confirm your buy

- Automatic income collection

- Automatic national objective calculation and capital city money transfer

- Teleporters between the two American sides of the board and the ability to jump back and forth between them with the camera

- "Research & Development" area for certain house rules, e.g. where u keep failed research dice (use if needed)

- Rulebooks

- Tutorial PDF

I found that all the mods could not load the German army model. It seems that I can't download it from a certain website. Is this because all the makers use the same model download address? This problem has troubled me for a long time.

This mod is amazing! For someone without any scripting experience, how difficult would it be to replicate the unit count feature from this mod? (the + and - signs above each unit). I'd love to try and implement it into some homebrewed games I'm running.

Any plans to add vichy france occupation / income / units to the script?

You should make occupation change the province colour. e.g: French Indochina becomes orange because of japan's occupation.

I looked into it a bit, it's definitely the color failing to be applied. Not sure why it's just my machine, but I can download the image just fine. The one thing is that that specific color is a single pixel, while all the other countries including neutral have a 4x3 color block.

UK: 89B0CDDCBDB013E448AAB4C4F7E71E2BFC22B7D0_uk.png (PNG Image, 4 × 3 pixels)
USSR: CAEED031990021221FEB12BD2EF19A1242387A43_ussr.png (PNG Image, 4 × 3 pixels)
Neutral: E7D5E2943254AB79DCBAD85C48506EE0A323EEC3_neutral.png (PNG Image, 4 × 3 pixels)
Germany: 42A64181178A987372BBE980869BED85BBE7AFDA_httpiimgurcomjrsP4Y0png.png (PNG Image, 1 × 1 pixels)

It's clearly different. Don't know why it makes a difference, but it is making a difference. I can find the picture downloaded in my workshop cache as well.

@Green With only a few minutes of time, you can use the models you have gotten from the other member and make a copy of the mod for yourself where you reupload those sources yourself. If you need assistance, you can hit me a pm.

Sorry for not replying quickly, thanks for the help though.

I've re-installed the game, cleared everything out of the cache, tried re-downloading the assets, disabling caching to download the units from the host, grabbed a copy of the assets from another member who could see the units, I don't know what else to try. The unit models will appear during the loading sequence, showing up white, but it seems like as soon as the styling/color is applied to them, they just turn invisible. Never had an issue downloading another asset like this before.

Everything else works perfectly and is incredibly user friendly though- gotta give some kudos so people don't think I'm trashing the mod.

@GreenMobius The German units not loading is not an issue of this mod but rather a networking issue. Whatever it may be, something prevents you from loading the assets from http://cloud-3.steamusercontent.com . I cannot change anything that would help you. Have you tried clearing the tabletop sim cache? If thats not the problem the problem might be with your network provider or firewall. As a workaround you could copy the sources of for example British units (if they are loading) and paste them into the german units source.
