Make your way through the alleys and to the truck depot.



The second instalment of the Left 4 Dead Modified series, This is the original old fashioned non-versus Crash Course campaign from the first game, with L4D2 weapon/item/upgrade spawns, a few new features and miscellaneous improvements.

Bear in mind that this altered version may be more challenging to the average player and is not a replacement for Crash Course featured within the game by default, but is a custom campaign you must select through the 'AddOn campaign...' menu.

Key features: • Original map layouts (buildings and paths) • Fixed the searchlight for the truck depot on both maps • Original river water textures • The Last Stand update L4D population • Buffed Miniguns - they are now more accurate and deal a lot of damage, especially to Tanks! They are also somewhat more powerful in L4D1 • New L4D1 themed hint system for panic events and rescue activation • Original L4D1 models (with HD textures) • Improved lighting • Enabled wind on all exterior cables such as phone poles (they're originally static) • Timed hordes will always spawn ahead rather than behind • More tweaks and tid-bits I can't remember NEW with 2022 update: • The finale now uses a 2 step setup rather than just starting the generator. After starting the generator, use the lever on the lift to begin the escape • There is now a 1 in 3 chance that the generator on the finale could break again after restarting it (it will only break 2 times) • L4D1 Common Infected sounds (will be added to my other campaigns soon) • L4D1 Horde howl when activating panic events (will be added to my other campaigns soon) • L4D1 Special Infected sounds, with some unused tracks added (will be added to my other campaigns soon) • Tank music now randomly chooses between the regular and metal version • Car alarms now use their own script, they are more dangerous. They can be activated from any distance and increase the common limit to 75 during the horde. Try to avoid them! • Removed the cooldown for performing shoves, the penalty did not exist in L4D1 NEW with Oct 2023 update: • New holdout areas in the truck depot - a blue warehouse, a small maintenance room, some containers • More Versus support • Custom level end tracks See 'Change Notes' for more info

I do not recommend playing this campaign on a 'Best Available Dedicated' server as some can be heavily modded and greatly interfere with gameplay.

All the modifications done to map really made it more enjoyable to play, and it was a nice change of pace, by changing the weapon spawns to their original spawns, i really prefer it that way since i think by default L4D2's weapon spawns are kind of OP, like you can turn around the corner and find a stash of AKs and Snipers.

The only thing i'd recommend though is adding more throwables to the finale and maybe reduce the amount of zombies that come after the first tank, 'cause i got stuck in that part and the amount of zombies quickly overwhelmed my team (i was playing with bots, but they were improved with mods). Other than that, great modification, in my opinion this is the L4D1 campaign ports valve should've made.

Also, i dunno if this is a problem with my graphics settings or resolution, but the instructor keeps blinking when i move my camera around.

I've gone ahead and tested the navigation in that area with the bots and they made it over the fence on to the truck. However once they have jumped the fence on to the truck they can not jump back over as the jump is too high, so they take the long way around. I can resolve that by adding a ladder or new navigation connections.
