Marvel Avengers Base Set DC Deck Building Game

Description
This is an unofficial DC Deck Building Game set, fully playable as a standalone or combined with other Cerberus engine games. Those already familiar with DC Deck Builder should be ready to play. The only new mechanic is Ambush, which was adapted from the Fellowship of the Ring Deck Builder. Please let me know if something needs balanced or any suggestions you might have. Based on an old project by boardgamegeek user Stu Anderson. Nuff Said!

Ambush:
An Ambush is a type of Attack found on some cards in the Main Deck. When a card with the word “Ambush” in its text box enters the Line-Up between turns and you are the next player to take a turn, you are Ambushed at the start of your turn. If a card played during a turn adds new cards to the Line-Up, any Ambushes do not happen.

Example: The player to your right buys two cards from the Line-Up. He ends his turn, and you flip the top two cards of the main deck into the Line-Up. One of them has an Ambush. You resolve the Ambush, then continue your turn.

If you are Ambushed by multiple cards, you may choose the order in which they resolve. After resolving each Ambush card, your turn continues as normal. Defense cards may be used to avoid Ambushes, but it takes a separate Defense card to avoid each Ambush.

Recent Updates:

Images should now load much quicker.
Table resized and extra player hands removed.
Fixed missing card backs.
Increased Weakness and Kick counts.
MODOK now only requires you to put one card on top of your deck.
Crimson Dynamo now gives +2 Power for each Equipment you discard.
Gave Boot Jets, Regeneration, Mandroid Armor, and Captain America’s Shield more varied Defense effects.

To Do:

Better table graphics and background.
Scripting? Might need some help.
Any fixes or suggestions you guys post here!

Thanks, a lot of good stuff to pick apart there. I'll fix the table and cardback issues asap and then a balance update hopefully addressing everything you mentioned. Glad to hear some feedback!

Gameplay:
We felt that there were too many cards that gave kicks or weaknesses. We ran out of cards in both those decks early.
All most all defense cards and with "...Draw a card". Some other mechanics to cycle players decks (discard) or trash (place a starter on top of your deck).
To easy to Defense attacks. Either through defense cards or some version of "Show X to avoid an attack". Maybe we just had lucky draws though.

Cards:
Crimson Dynomo just is not worth buying or playing. The potential for extra power of this card is equal to or lower than playing the equipment cards themselves. There is no gain in power.

Modok's played ability seems like a hinderance to the player. This could cause a player to place their entire hand (besides Modock having been played) back on top of their deck. As an attack against a chosen player would be fun though.

Long time DCDB player. It's our go to filler game.
Just played a few games of this and have some comments. Great job Btw! We were happily impressed on the amount of work. Below is some constructive criticism.

Game assets:
Some cards in the main deck are missing the card backs and show up as just black while in a players hand. You can also save the card graphics a little lower resolution or if jpgs add some compression. This will load faster.

Table needs to be bigger. Play is a little constricting currently. Remove the extra player hands. We kept dragging cards into unfilled "hand" seat spots.
