Finally to fix the resolution issues open the f1_res_Config.exe in the main Fallout folder and edit the following:
Graphics Mode - Change to Direct 9
Colours - Change to 32-bit
Resolution - According to your specifications (mine was 1280x720)
High-Resolution Patch - Enable (By default it is disabled)
Hopefully, now it should work for you guys 'cause for me it does when I did this method.
IMPORTANT: I had to rename FALLOUTW to "Falloutlauncher.exe" BUUUUT the step that was missing for me was that you have to make a copy of Falloutlauncher.exe and rename it to FALLOUTW... it sounds dumb, but that's how I got it to stop telling me the exe was missing. I hope this helps out.
TL;DR: You need "Falloutlauncher.exe" AND "FALLOUTW" present to run it. So make a copy and rename it to have both present...
Hey there, I wanted to ask if in 2023 you still stand by this as I'm still in a dilemma whether I should play Fo1 by patching the original or switching to Et tu, opinions seem to be mixed in places I see, thanks!.
