Flag of the Republic of China (kit. Trad. It is a symbol of the Republic of China. The flag consists of elements that symbolize a Blue Sky, a White Sun, and a Completely Red Earth (kit. Trad. 青天、白日、滿地紅, Mgmt. 青天、白日、满地红;, Pinyin: qīng tiān, bái rì, mǎn dì hóng) to reflect its attributes. It was first used by the Kuomintang in 1928.

Blue Sky with a White Sun (kit. Trad. Pinyin Qīng tīan bái rì), served as the project of the party flag and emblem of the Kuomintang.

In the "Blue Sky with a White Sun" symbol, the twelve rays of the white Sun representing the twelve months and twelve traditional Chinese clocks (時辰 shíchen), each corresponding to two modern clocks (小 xiǎoshí, non-transferable meaning: "small, small shi"), and symbolizes the Spirit of Progress.

The current Taiwanese flag was the state symbol of China from 1928 until it was replaced by the Communist flag in 1949.

In December 1911, when sun Yat-sen formed the first Provisional government, the national flag of China became a flag of five horizontal stripes: red, yellow, blue, white and black, which symbolized the peoples of China: Manchus, Chinese, Mongols, Muslims, Tibetans.

Officially, the red flag with the sun in the blue Canton was approved as the state flag on October 8, 1928. After the defeat of the Kuomintang in the war with the Communists and the proclamation of the people's Republic of China in 1949, the government fled to the island of Taiwan. The name "Taiwan" is often used in international practice for convenience.

Taiwan has not been a member of the UN since 1971, when it was replaced by the PRC. Therefore, the use of the flag of Taiwan is prohibited in international sports competitions. Taiwan athletes are forced to use a neutral flag with the image of the flower "Mei-Hua". At the Olympic games and world University games, in which Taiwan participates under the name Chinese Taipei, a white flag is used with the image of a flower, inside which is placed a white sun in a blue circle and Olympic rings, or the letter U at the University games[source not specified 1165 days].

The Flag Of Burma/Myanmar in 1948-2010 was very similar to the flag of the Republic of China. In view of this, for example, at the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, Taiwanese fans used the flag of Myanmar, since the Taiwanese flag is prohibited in the PRC.
