What is this about?
The goal here is to get the original 640×480 image that the game is internally rendering and scale it by an integer factor to your monitor resolution.

Sol will look nice and sharp.

Download and Setup
Step 1: Download and run IntegerScaler
First you will need to download a small and easy to use software called IntegerScaler here[tanalin.com]. Just run this software when you want to play the game.

Step 2: Set your in-game display settings
You need to run Guilty Gear XX Λ Core +R in WINDOWED with a resolution of 640×480.

Step 3: Scale the game
Just press ALT+F11 while Guilty Gear XX Λ Core +R is in focus.
Enjoy!

You can still ALT+TAB the game when it is scaled and you can disable the scaling by pressing the same ALT+F11 shortcut.
It is possible to customize the scaling. The IntegerScaler website[tanalin.com] describes how.

Backup method:
If for some reason it does not work on your side, you can try this other method that uses Borderless Gaming.

If this method isn't working for anyone then I recommend Downloading Borderless Gaming from Github

WOOOOO this is now natively part of +R!
New feature: Antialiasing now has three modes
- ON is the original PC scaler, 2X is the arcade scaler, and OFF is point-scaling.
- Point scaling looks best when displayed at integer multiples of 640x480.
Amazing program, If you could integer scale it & then nearest neighbour or zoom into it to fit into 1080p that would be lovely, but I totally understand why it doesn't have that feature.

I just realized you were the author of IntegerScaler. Thank you so much for this great piece of software !

Added new question and answer [tanalin.com] into the IntegerScaler FAQ, explaining why the game window might be just centered and not scaled at certain combinations of game resolution and screen resolution.

Your screen resolution must be at least twice as large as 640×480 in order for the software to scale the game. Unfortunately, if you're using a 768p screen, it's normal for the game to remain at its 640×480 resolution with this method.

Hi! I tried your steps, but when I press Alt + F11, the window stays the same size and the rest of the screen is covered by black bars. What can I do? Thank you!

@Zetzel If you are OK with some cropping, you can use the ` -ratio 2` command-line option for overriding the scaling ratio to 2. As a result, you get 2×2 pixels with 48+48 vertical logical pixels cropped out. `-resize` is NOT for scaling, don’t use it for this purpose.

So quick question, what do I do if all it does to XX is makes it centered and makes the entire background black, when Xrd(the only other game ive tested it on) scales the game to my 1366x768 monitor?

@timmcd 1080/480 = 2.25 which is not integer, so you get distortion and pixel shimmering.
