Guide on how to Broadcast Yourself in VRChat to Online Calls/Virtual Meetings
Autorstwa: SnowBall
OK, so today I managed to broadcast myself from VRChat to Webex in my Theatre Arts class, and I thought it'd be nice if I made a guide for people who might wanna try the same thing. For this guide I will be using Webex as an example, but if you just want to know how to broadcast yourself in general just follow Step 1.

PS: The steps are not necessary if you are using Discord, you can just use the stream camera. Also, green screens do kind of work in VRChat when in calls, so have a go at that if you want, or if you're confident your system can handle it.

Step 1 (The Main Info You'll Need to Know)
1. Have OBS and Virtual Camera installed: The normal stream camera in VRChat won't work for Webex and possibly other places with video calls (such as Google Meet and possibly Zoom) as for some reason the feature for doing it does not work properly, resulting in the camera becoming a black screen, so be sure to use the Virtual Camera addon from OBS. I used Virtual Camera 2.0.4. to make it work. You can find it online or from video tips on how to use it. Make sure you have a scene made so that OBS can show your screen in the program, you can use Display Capture, or Game Capture (I used Game Capture, so I recommend using that). Make sure you have VRChat.exe selected for the Game Capture.

Once you have Virtual Camera downloaded and have selected VRChat.exe as your Game Capture, go to the top of OBS in tools and select VirtualCam. You can leave everything as it is. You can also just leave the target camera as OBS-Camera, but you can change it to the other cameras if you want, shouldn't change the video anyway. Once you have everything prepared, click Start. You won't notice anything at first, but you'll see it working once you go to your virtual meeting of choice and change the camera to the OBS-Camera you've selected. If all has been done correctly you will notice the camera is of your VRChat POV, or the stream camera.

You can now use the stream camera in meetings, the camera option itself just doesn't work on its own, which is why you'd need the Virtual Camera.
Step 2 (optional, if you're using webex)
2. Change your camera in Webex to OBS Camera: The normal stream camera didn't work for me, but in order to make sure it works go to Tools at the top of OBS and select VirtualCam. You'll need to have Virtual Camera downloaded in order to access VirtualCam in OBS. Be sure to have the target camera on "OBS Camera". Once you think everything is in place click "Start"
Step 3 (also optional if you're using webex)
3. Open Webex: I recommend downloading the Webex program to your computer, as it didn't seem to work properly when in my browser, so for the best experience just download the Webex program. Once you have Webex opened, be sure to change your camera to "OBS Camera" and click "Start Video". If done correctly you should see VRChat being broadcasted to your Webex camera. Also be sure to change your headset and microphone in Webex so that you can hear and talk to your class/meeting.
Step 4
4. Do whatever you want!: If you have manged to do all of this successfully, you are now capable of broadcasting yourself in VRChat using OBS and Webex (and other things too), and you can do whatever you want, as long as your teacher/school/whoever is OK with it. I personally used this in Theatre Arts for a Halloween costume party, but I plan on using it more in the future. Hopefully this guide has helped you with figuring out how to use VRChat in Webex, or maybe even elsewhere. If you need help regarding anything in the guide don't be afraid to comment about it.
PS:
This method isn't exclusive to Webex. You can pretty much take everything from this guide and use it in other virtual meeting call programs, like Google Meet or Discord. All you really need is VirtualCam and some of the steps in this guide and you're set.

PSA: Virtual Camera (at least on my Windows 11 build) is included with OBS Studio. (Official OBS new version, old version is deprecated.) see here for the steam release!: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1905180/OBS_Studio/

@agentmaine I'd prefer doing it with teachers who are more laid-back and not as strict. For example my 2nd period math class and 4th period theatre arts class. But sometimes it's OK to kind of risk it. Who knows? Maybe they might actually like it, could brighten up the mood, especially when you acknowledge what times we're in now. But if you feel as if your teachers or whoever you have your online meetings with may not like it, it may be best to not risk it.
