Idle Stands Placement Fix and Boring Balance Patch

Description
Didja get Idle Stands to make guards at your gate - and then realize you couldn't place the markers AT YOUR GATE? Well, I fixed it. Now you can. Markers can be placed anywhere, inside, outside, on the gate platforms, go nuts.

Speaking of going nuts....

You may have also noticed that the mod introduces a number of items and mechanics that are a wee bit cheaty. And some.... questionable poses and animations that were a bit more than you bargained for.

This patch, in addition to fixing the placement issue:

- Removes all the "Harem" stuff entirely. Not what I was looking for in a Gate Guard interview, but hey, if that's your thing, have fun.

- Balances all the cheaty free-training objects to be more sane. The items are cute and creative, but are now severely nerfed in how far they'll train you so you have to actually, you know. Go out and play the game to progress.

- Ultimate Enlightenment can no longer be bought or stolen from half the stores in Kenshi. Or any of them.

- Similarly, if you DO learn the Neat Trick, it no longer heals you for eight billion health per second for free.

Now, don't be too hard on Lhamabomb, they're a talented animator and clearly just got carried away with what to add to this mod, lol. This patch brings the scope back in line with "I just wanted some gate guards to stay at their posts, man," and keeps the creative and amusing training-animation features while preventing them from getting out of hand.

As this is a derivative work OF a derivative work, you are more than welcome to take this patch, see what I did, restore or change any bits you want (*cough* harem *cough* - I won't judge) and post your own tweaked version for them what want those features. As for me, I wanted to slim the thing down while I was at it and don't really need sexy dancers while my guards are sending loose limbs flying through the air BUT HEY, to each their own. Have at it.

Wondering if anyone has tested this to see if it stops the frequent crashes that happen with the original mod?

Hiya! Thanks for this! I appreciate the sane adjustments. Just a quick one; did you ever have an issue with the guard idles locking a character into position so that once they're in it, even if you left-click a move order, they will ignore it, only until you actually cancel the assigned job? They also don't automatically make it back to the marker, I need to "nudge" them a bit until the job kicks in.

I experienced this when I had a "throw intruder" job happening, the guard performed the task, threw the intruder out, but then returned near the post but not close enough to trigger the 'guard" task, so manually moving the guard a bit got it to work again.

To edit the mod, you'd need to use the "Launch Modding Tool" option from Steam when you hit Play. If you mean like textures and such, they are .DDS format images, and you can use Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET but it requires a plugin (Kenshi is old enough that the ancient DDS plugin you can google for GIMP will work just fine).

If having a local copy in Kenshi's MOD folder no longer prevents updates, then I'm not sure what will, as I haven't looked at all this in a while, sorry.

And also, what app do you recommend to use to view and edit the mods files?
I have this oddity of some files being identified as "disc image file"...

It happens with most Kenshi mods...

Hello, Spacefiddle.

Thank you for the patch.

Do you know if this mod-patch bundle requires an import btw?

And, as a side note, is there a way to prevent a mod from updating, like transferring the Steam Workshop mod folder into the mod folder in kenshi? (to limit compatibility issues)
Did it in 2019 tho, but it doesn't seem to work anymore...

Looking forward you reply!

One last note - if you're having trouble with the mats sinking thru the ground where you want to place them, you can press and HOLD the + key while left-clicking to place the mat, and it will raise the mat up above the terrain a bit so it doesn't sink under the terrain mesh and become unclickable.
