Magicite with PS3 controller

This guide will teach you how to play Magicite with a PS3 controller on a PC.

We'll need the MotioninJoy software which is availible for free at http://www.motioninjoy.com/download

1. Plug in your PS3 controller
2. Download and install
3. Open MotioninJoy and go to the "Driver Manager" tab and install the required driver, watch the tutorial video for help on this part
4. Go to profiles and create a new profile named Magicite and set it up to be like the image below[i.imgur.com]
5. Go to options and change the Dpad Up and Dpad Down to around 130, this will make the scrolling though items better.
6. In options change the mouse cursor speed and the Mouse wheel speed to your liking (I have 1/4 cursor and 1/35 wheel)
7. Start playing
On your PS3 controller the controlls will be:

Walking uses the left stick
Scrolling through items with Dpad Up and Dpad Down
Hitting/clicking with R2 and jumping with L2
Left dash L1 and right dash R1
Triangle opens and closes the inventory.
In the inventory R2 is clicking (picking up item), Square is crafting(shift click) and circle is splitting a stack of items in half (mouse 2)
Moving the cursor for crafting and looking is done with the right stick.

It's worth noting that Sean plans to add controller support, so third-party software will not be necessary forever.

@lucky_shot Hey, so I've always used the online DS3 Tool, and I want to move over to Better DS3. However, I'm having quite a bit of trouble with mapping the controller for Magicite. Have you maybe got a screenshot or two that shows how you've mapped for the game?

I recommend better ds3 as you get the same features with offline support.

Note: I have Square:0 in the second picture, that's actually not a good idea, don't do that.

MotioninJoy, it's a driver for PC that enabled you to fully configure controllers like the PS3 and Xbox 360 controller. Setting up an Xbox controller would work exactly the same way.
