Introduction
Planet Coaster is a theme park construction and management simulation game. One of its attractive features inside the game is the Career Mode. In the Career Mode, players start with a pre-built theme park by the developers and must complete a set of objectives. Each level has 3 set of objectives that players must complete and will be awarded with a stars (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) once complete a set of objectives. Earning those stars will increase your in-game level and eventually earn you the Star Studded Career achievement once you complete all of the levels.

Most of the objectives are pretty easy and straightforward. For example, for objectives such as reach a monthly profit of... can be easily done by just building as much rides as possible. However, some of the objectives are pretty hard and tricky. Believe me, i also had some trouble completing these objectives as well. Therefore, i will create this guide to help you completing these objectives.
Factors That Affect Income
Guests
Guest is one of the important factors that will affect your career playthrough Some scenarios actually need you to attract specific guest to complete the objectives. Here's the information of guests:
Adults
Adults are somewhat your flexible guest. They can be casual or even a thrill seeking peeps. They don't really have any ride preferences so it doesn't really matter which types of ride you build. One thing you should know that adults have low nausea tolerance. Rides that have high nausea stats will make them sick. So, you need to place down first aid if you want to keep your guests happy. Although, you can also take advantage of their weakness though. When an adult gets too sick, they will vomit. Vomiting makes the adult hungry. And hungry adult will buy food which lead them to buy drink as well. So, utilize this trick if you have shop objectives.
Teens
Teens are thrill seeking peeps. Teenagers visit your park to have a good time by riding thrill rides. Thrill rides and intense coasters are their favorites. They could be your most profitable guest as thrill rides and intense coasters have the highest prestige. This type of guest is most suitable in income objective. Teens also have high nausea tolerance. However, Teens don't really like gentle rides. You'll often see "... is too gentle for me" in their thought.
Families
Families are adults with children. These peeps like to spend more on shops rather than rides. They also have ride restriction in which they cannot ride anything that is too scary (you don't want to terrify your children). So, families prefer rides that has low fear stats. Coasters that doesn't have "Adults and Teens only" description can be ridden by families. However, they cannot invert, so this type of coaster usually has low excitement and low fear. Luckily, families don't really care about excitement. Attract this type of guest if you have a shop related objectives.

Ride Profit Maximization
For ride profit maximization, you can see from this blog: http://planetcoasterplanningguide.blogspot.com/2018/01/prestige-vs-ride-cost.html
Throughout my career playthrough, i find that guide is the best pricing guide. However, the guide doesn't work well without a little "tweak". I'll explain it below.

First of all ride pricing is determined by the ride's prestige. The higher the prestige is, the higher price you can charge. Ride prestige can be affected by many factors such as queue scenery, ride's sequence, and track scenery (For coaster and track rides). Ride prestige does not only determine the ride pricing but also shows popularity of your ride. Popular rides will attract more guests than less popular ones. You will notice that if you place a lot of thrill rides, your gentle rides' queue are often empty. That's because gentle rides have low prestige and are less attractive than thrill ones.
Note: Ride prestige reset after you load a game.

Now, here's how to use the guide properly. When you place down a ride, you will notice that your ride will have a prestige. I will call that "Default Prestige". What you need to do is to match the prestige number with the guide then minus $.50. For example, if my ride's prestige is 200 then i should charge at $5.50 for the price. If you don't lower the price by $.50, guests will think its too expensive. Keep in mind, Default Prestige does not include Scenery Rating yet. You need to start the ride at least once before the scenery rating is taken account of. After the ride has finished one set of the sequence, the prestige will be increased based on the ride's queue scenery (Current prestige X Scenery %). I will call this "Scenery Prestige". Once you have the Scenery Prestige, you can actually match the price EXACTLY as in the table but i usually minus $.20 from the table. Congratulations! You just maximized your park profit.
Dex-R's Science Shenanigans

Shops N' Drops

This futuristic park's shop franchisors have questioned their long term commitment after underwhelming financial results. Retain their trust by squeezing as much profit as possible from your shops and facilities.

Objectives:
  • Bronze: Reach a monthly profit from shops, facilities, restaurants, and hotels of $2000, and 500 guests.
  • Silver: Reach a monthly profit from shops, facilities, restaurants, and hotels of $4000, and 1000 guests.
  • Gold: Reach a monthly profit from shops, facilities, restaurants, and hotels of $6000, and a park rating of 1000

This level mainly focusing on achieving a high profit from you shops, facilities, restaurants, and hotels. The hardest challenge in this level is that you have to reach $6000 from your shops, facilities, restaurants, and hotels. It is a very huge figure actually. I usually reach only about $2000 - $3000 from shops and facilities throughout my playthrough. On top of that, the park is also limited for expansion. You will notice that you have a space junkyard bazaar in the middle of the park which consist of rooms for rental, a quite huge room for expansion to the right of the entrance, and a little room for expansion to the front. So basically the park is a long narrow shaped. The limited rooms for expansion means that you can't trick the game by having as much guests as you can instead you have to use strategy here.

As i stated before, families spend the most on shops and facilities. Gift shops will earn you the most profit here, Hat's Fantastic and Loony Blooons are the best ones. Don't build Just a Momento, that gift shop is useless. For some reasons, Just a Momento never does well. Avoid it! In order to attract a lot of families, you need to build gentle rides. So, focus your research tree on gentle rides and shops. You will want a lot of families in your park. Your second best friend here is Adults. Adults also spend a lot on shops and facilities. As you can see in my demographic chart, i attracted families the most. You will notice that they spent a lot on my shops and it really helped me achieving the objective. Aside from families, Adults also do well in this level. Even though, i had more teens in my park, the Adults actually spent more on my shops. So attract those two types of guests.

Next, DON'T build too many variant of shops. In my playthrough, i actually only built Chief Beef, Cosmic Cow Milkshake, Gulpee Slush, Hat's Fantastic, and Loony Bloons. Just build those shops as they sell quite expensive goods anyways. You'll also need to set the right shop's pricing in this scenario. Here's the price list:
Chief Beef $14.10/$16.10
Cosmic Cow $8.20
Gulpee Slush $9.30
Hat's Fantastic $15.70
Loony Bloons $12.20
Toilets $.50
ATM $.10
I find that price is the best price. Any higher than that, your guests will think it's too expensive. Also, many people suggest to add "a lot" on all extras. I actually don't recommend that at all. The more extras you give, the higher your shop's operation cost is. In my playthrough, I actually use that extras strategically. You will see that each extras have different effects on customers. For example, Marshmallow causes your guests to be happier, less hungry, and thirstier. You can actually take advantage of that by putting "a lot" as it will make your guests thirstier thus leading to more frequent drink purchases. However, keep in mind that it will also make your guests less hungry.

Last, limit your park expansion. Try to keep a short distance between park expansions. The bigger your park is, the longer your guests will have to walk. Remember, you can't control guests' destination, so they might walk from one expansion to another. Also don't forget to add 1 food stall, 1 drink stall, and 1 gift shop at each expansion (In the bazaar, i put two drink shops because Cosmic Cow is for the guest traffic between 1st expansion and 2nd expansion and Gulpee Slush is for Looper amd Kick-Flip. Looper has really small capacity, so guests will get hungry and thirsty after waiting and riding the ride). Keep the ride exit close to your shops. Just keep at it, you'll eventually reach $9000 like i did!
Future Updates, More Guide to Come
I will add more levels in the future. I'm currently working on Cavernous Coaster as i think it is the hardest level in the game (I was almost gave up on that but hey, determination leads to success). I will update this guide ASAP. Feel free to give a comment and ask me questions on the comment section below :)
Hope this helps you!!
