TLC DVD Upgrade

This guide will let you upgrade the quality of the videos and some transistions.

What is this?

Tender Loving Care was an FMV game that was originally released in 3 different formats, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and DVD Video. The DVD quality was either horribly compressed or the developers used the CD-ROM version when they re-released it on Steam and GoG.

I have taken the original DVD copies of these videos and made versions compatible with the modern version to restore the original quality.

Installation Instructions

There are 2 files, The cutscenes and the transitions. Download the language of your choice and the transition pack.

• Download the files from the link above
  
• Unzip the folder into your TLC installation directory. Steam: Right click on Tender Loving Care, go to manage, click on "Browse local files"
  GoG: Right click the desktop icon and click "open file location"
  
• Overwrite ALL files
  
• Enjoy!

There are some video glitches (for example in the first John Hurt interview) but otherwise really nice that you've done this.

Which files should be used? There are several different files in that Google drive. I'm not sure which of these three is the right one:

DVD Upgrade (ENG) 1.0-003
DVD Upgrade (ENG) 1.2-002
DVD Upgrade (ENG) Patch 1.2.7z
Transitions Upgrade (ALL) 0.6.7z
