Compatibility

Ironman mode compatible.

Save game compatible, can subscribe or unsubscribe at any point.

Only image files are replaced. No text documents touched. As this is just a graphical mod, it will always work, even if it's outdated (you can safely ignore the outdated warning in the launcher).

Compatible with all mods, BUT if you are subscribed to anything else that also replaces the Lithoid city appearance and/or the Lithoid ruler room background, then put Lithoid Warm Crystal Cities after the other mod in your load order playset. This way Lithoid Warm Crystal Cities will override the other mods edits of these image files.

1. Other mod that edits Lithoid city appearance and/or the Lithoid ruler room background.
2. Lithoid Warm Crystal Cities.

To other commenters: Replacers work with achievements, alternates do not. This is because alternates require a species class to be choosable.

I've uploaded a version that works as an extra choice rather than acting as a replacer. Normally I would require the original mod as a dependency and exclude the original art, but it is not possible because of how Stellaris links cities to graphical cultures based on filenames. Using both mods would result in two copies of the warm cities and none of the original cool cities.

Why wouldn't you just make a separate new one so there's the option of which fits a species better?

Yeah, logically it makes no sense to make replacers. More options are better than... swapped options. It's like the equivalent of saying you'd rather have only the option to have vanilla or chocolate, as opposed to both or any combination. Like, who thinks that way?

I think it'd be nice to be able to have both 'cold' style lithoids and 'warm' style lithoids without needing to do a whole different preset for each playthrough, y'know?

I think it works as replacement, it's just a personal taste colour sort of thing. Looks nice, we need more texture replacement sort of mods.

No offense my friend, but I think that it would be better if the color of the crystals were the same used in our flags and ships.
