in memoriam ecania

This map is a tribute to the late Ecania, a Swedish creator, passed away in September 2020. For four years, between 2016 and 2020, he shared 37 maps and themes. Here, we have followed some ecanian rules: a map configured for the 25 Tiles, high mountains in the background, smaller ones in the center, an omnipresent motorway and rail network with disconcerting tunnels, intersections by Arisandi, and... a lot of waterfalls !!!
My main source of inspiration is Dulas Morth

Titilopoppo, from the past to the present

- First of all, Professor Jan Nupu, let me ask you what is Schnurtzology?
- Schnurtzology is the scientific study of the Great Nation of Schnurtzoria; a federal state currently comprising 8 maps. This science aims to study all possible aspects related to this nation: history, geography, geology, astrology or pre-diluvian polyandry.

- You have published numerous articles during your career. You have been teaching since 1936 at the prestigious Oxbridge University in the Ken….
- Sorry to interrupt you, in the Barbieshire….
- Certainly…. Tell us a little more about your bibliography… Your essentials…. all published at the “Stripped Book Publishing”.

- Well, well… I would start by mentioning “Cape Schnurtz or the real Atlantis” 2500 pages, a brief summary of my thesis defense. I cannot avoid the general public work “Zoria Island - the temptation of Schnurxit - does a savegame have its place in a federation of maps? Challenges and perspectives. ” 15,998 pages in 36 volumes.
- Your erudition is impressive !!! Please continue.
- So I have to talk about "Abakadaba, whether or not a highway should be built around the northern mountain", followed closely by "Glagla-Aglagla and Odama, two forgotten islands in the age of globalization". I will also mention “Mossissobo during the reign of Biffa the Builder” as well as “Raliwaya and the harmful consequences of a minimalist rail network”
- In short, what do we know about...uhh.... What do we know about Titilirambo ... uhhhh.....Tipeepatreono ....Titilobloblo .... pfff ... Titioboroploplo ...Titiogrorololo ...
-Titilopoppo !!!
-Yes that's it...
Titi..lottoto
-TITILOPPOPO !!!!
- You are wrong, professor, it is Titilopoppo, and not Titiloddodo. I checked before coming .... I'll let you talk ... So .... Titimogoggo ??? .....
- Titilopoppo !!!!! Uh....Well..... It is highly probable that the name of this map derives from the Roman legionary Titus Lopoppus, a neighbor of the cousin by marriage of Emperor Vermicelli. This Titus would have built a villa there after his retirement from the Legion.

However the human presence is much older. We still have the remains of a prehistoric settlement. 30 million years ago, the People of the Ancients installed Stargate on all planets to facilitate interstellar travel. One of these gates is not far from the aforementioned village. It is certain that the first Titilopoppoans are Idimifidians deported from their planet. I am of course talking about the famous P3X-1976. About this extrasolar people, among other things, I wrote a study on the Meowhovist clerics, the followers of the cat-god religion. Nevertheless, these proto-titilopoppoans developed another belief that can be described as shamanist in connection with male fertility. We have no clue as to this sudden mystical-theological shift. No clue...

Unlike the other maps previously mentioned, there is no huge medieval castle here. However, a whole bunch of watch-towers have been built by few obscure squires. No doubt to monitor the region and to ward off Barbarian-Moorish attacks after the fall of Constantinople. Some texts suggest that the modest garrisons of these towers practiced fiscal-feudal onslaught and toll brigandage much more than coastal defense ...
Truth or tales of drunken peasants, I don't really know.
It is obvious that the cadastral-agricultural plots date from this time. The world famous Titilopoppean bocage.

I cannot ignore Nostranupu, the famous 16th century astrologer. According to his abugcalyptic prophecy, the end of Titilopoppo will come the day a mayor unsubscribes the Stargate asset. So trees, rocks and roads will disappear. No life will remain ...

- This bug is terribly terrifying ....
- Anyone who would take these words for empty nonsense would be fraught with consequences.
Closer to us, in the 19th century, the mining industry developed strongly. The landscape retains the scars of this outrageous exploitation of mineral resources. Unfortunately, many factories have been abandoned since the Great Economic Depression of 1929.
The major challenge today is to restore prosperity to this depopulated land. In particular, by relaunching mining activities.
- Does this economic sector have a real future?
- Of course, the Chinese competition is terrible. But, the exploitation of Skylinium is highly profitable !!!
- I must admit my total ignorance…. the Skylinium ??? !!!
- You have surely noticed a surprising fact: the factories of fish sticks are delivered an impressive quantity of ore and wood !!!
- ore !!! and wood ???
- The pretty yellow color of the breadcrumbs ... in your opinion, is ??? is ???
- Skylinium ?! .... (gulp). What do they do with wood? ....
- vegan sticks, I guess ....

While it isn't a solution to the Stargate issue, I did find a way to deal with it.

Use the visible above-ground to dropper-tool to select the item in Move It! to select the entire map. To find it if you can't see the item, it is to the right of the default "northernmost" (the side opposite of the GIANT mountain range in the 'south' that takes up 3/4 of the maps edge) roundabout.

Use Move It! to move it roadside. This will allow services like trash and police, etc. to access it to clear the issues. It shouldn't give you issues anymore, but of course, you cannot place any service buildings or zone the area. The solution I found is to move a building (such as a police station) on top of it to hide it, since it is an underground only building anyway.

Hope this might be able to help someone!

Hard crash to desktop with this map. Antivirus says it contains malware.

@automactic yes it is. I unsubbed the stargate because I hate it, but this problem existed before unsubbing.

I agree with you. I LOVE this map, but having warning icons connected to random buildings that break when I try to adjust them is a no go for me. Its a shame really.

OneSpookyBoi, is this hidden object located by the river close to one of the biggest interchange in the map? And if you raise it above ground, it is just some lights? I also tried to remove it and wasn't able to. I even tried to raise it above ground and drop a meteorite on it.

I think it is not meant to be removed, or at least the map maker doesn't want us to. The description mentioned some prophecy that the end will come if the mayor unsub to the stargate.

While I completely respect the map maker's decision and personally think the map is very beautiful, I am not into supernatural stuff and just want to have a realistic city. I wish there was a way to completely remove the stargate, but if not I will have to go play another map

So I have done a bit more digging here. I started a completely fresh game, unlocked the entire map with 81 tiles, and let the game run. I instantly had multiple water / power notifications. I removed the stargate and still had issues persist. Using move it, i started deleting *everything* on the map (props, trees, nets, etc). With everything completely gone, I STILL had notifications for water and power. Turns out, there is an underground building hiding in the map that can't be deleted. Bulldozer does nothing, move it does nothing. If I try to raise it above ground so I can see what it is, my game crashes. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this?

i have no idea why, but i have one notification icon for crime, garbage, and water ... I deleted the stargate metro station, but still can't figure out what this is. Anyone have any ideas?

Very lovely map, anything with a Stargate is an insta-sub for me but damn, the whole map is so neat...feel so bad for ruining it with my city-building no-skill.

The cock rock was a surprise for sure...but a welcome one :D Built a tourism district right in there.
