This part will cover all non-modded Factions and military Vehicles in Arma 3 in their entirety.
BLUFOR Factions
BLUFOR refers to 'Your' faction in NATO codes and is led by NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation or North Atlantic Alliance. BLU can also be used as shorthand for the side, and it is the side you play for the main Arma 3 and expansion campaigns, excluding Laws of War, which is from the civilian point of view. It contains-

NATO and it's various theatres/camo variants
CTRG, Combat Technology Research Group
FIA, Freedom and Independence Army
Tanoan Gendarmerie
NATO Lore and Infantry
First signed in 1949, NATO is an intergovernmental military alliance that was formed between several North American and European countries. It was founded on the principle of collective defence, and of guaranteeing the peace and security of its members through mutual political and military co-operation.

It is not a single nation, but consists of Americans, British and Livonian forces in Arma 3, with the Czech Republic and Germany also appearing in Arma 2 and it's expansions as NATO forces. In the Altis conflict the main NATO forces are from Task Force Aegis, a Joint US/UK peacekeeper taskforce led by US Army Colonel Andrew MacKinnon.

As the campaign intensifies TF Aegis is joined by the US Carrier Strike Group 14 from the US Navy as well as two Mechanised Brigade Combat teams from the 111th Infantry Division of the US Army led by Colonel David Armstrong, who was a playable character in the original Arma-Operation Flashpoint / Cold War Crisis and has returned throughout the entire series.

NATO Infantry wear Crye G3 style uniforms in a range of Multicam variants based on theatre and conventional plate carriers. Their primary infantry rifle is the modular MX series rifle, designed by CMMG and chambered in 6.5MM. This intermediate round gives NATO better performance at longer ranges, and the modular base rifle with different variants for autorifle/IAR, Marksman and carbines means NATO squads need less unique ammo types and magazine variants for their general infantry, easing logistics and supply.
NATO Land Vehicles Part 1
Hunter (Oshkosh MATV)
The Hunter is a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle manufactured by US arms factories to provide troops with enhanced protection. The armoured hull can withstand light weapons and protects the crew against landmines and improvised explosive devices. Even though the heavy armour and powerful engine cause increased fuel consumption, it has been favoured by frontline troops over the light vehicles for its easy maintenance and good protection level.

The armed version of the sturdy Hunter MRAP vehicle is fitted with a Remotely Controlled Weapons System turret. The turret is fitted with the universal 12.7mm heavy machinegun or the multi-role 40mm Grenade Machine Gun. The armed Hunters are used for troop transport in combat zones, as light reconnaissance vehicles or even in fire support role in COIN operations.

The Hunter provides improved protection against mines and 40MM explosives compared to the other faction's MRAPS, and unlike the CSAT Ifrit does not have large weakpoints in the windows, but it sacrifices handling and speed for it's higher level of armour protection. The high hull and V shape make it more prone to rollover and it is not amphibious like the AAF's Strider.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Maroon = Turret control systems

Prowler (Polaris DAGOR LSV)
The Prowler is a light strike vehicle (LSV). That means it’s agile, lightly armoured and uses speed, maneuverability, and off-road mobility to avoid threats. It is used by NATO and CTRG Special Forces.

The armed variant is equipped with two machine guns. The front seated position carries .338 SPMG medium machine gun, while the top turret is equipped with a .50 cal heavy machine gun. With this arsenal, the Prowler is ideal for quick hit and run missions. There is also an Anti-Tank Variant swapping the 50. Cal HMG for a Titan ATGM launcher.

The unarmed variant is stripped of all guns, but the back part of the vehicle is opened and has reserve seats for two additional soldiers.

The Prowler, in comparison to the Hunter, is a much lighter, faster and better handling vehicle, at the cost of having very little armour protection- even the doors themselves can be stripped off if needed. Despite it's light weight, it packs some considerable firepower, making it very useful for groups like Recon teams or NATO and CTRG Special Forces.

Weakpoints
Green = Body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

HEMTT
The Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck is an 8x8 diesel-powered off-road truck. It servers as a standard heavy transport vehicle for BLUFOR armies. There are several versions covering the basic transport functions: cargo, refuel, medical, repair, and ammo resupply.

The HEMTT is a heavy transport truck with an armoured cabin and long wheelbase giving it good offroad torque. It has more variants than the other faction's trucks, including a version with no trailer and the flatbed and cargo variants can transport vehicles.

It, like all the faction's cargo trucks, is unarmed and due to the armour and length is very slow and difficult to drive in tight spaces, but the infantry transport variants can carry 16 passengers.
Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Maroon = Turret control systems

AMV-7 Marshall (Badger APC)
APC (Armored Personal Carrier) vehicles are used to deploy soldiers and to exfiltrate them away from a battlezone. The AMV-7 Marshall has a mounted 40mm CTWS cannon and a coaxial machinegun. The vehicle is designed to sustain damage from mines and quickly get to a designated position even in rough terrain or over water.

Compared to other IFV's, the wheeled Marshall packs a more powerful dual feed 40MM cannon and is significantly lighter and is amphibious and the lighter weight allows it to be able to be airlifted by Blackfish VTOLS. It's secondary weapon is a coaxial 7.62 MG.

In order to achieve these, it has sacrificed armour and lacks an ATGM launcher, meaning it's great for quick raids, naval assaults and shorter operations but lacks options against heavier targets like main battle tanks. It has a capacity of 8 troops and 3 crewmen.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Maroon = Turret
Gold = Gun

IFV-6C Panther (Namer APC)
While both the IFV-6c Panther and IFV-6a Cheetah are based on the Israeli armoured personnel carrier chassis, they each serve very distinct roles in combat. The Panther is an APC that boasts strong armor to achieve maximal protection for transported personnel. The standard Panther is armed with an RCWS HMG, 40mm GMG, and smoke grenade launchers. In addition to its crew, 8 soldiers can be transported in the cargo area.

The Panther is a unique troop carrier, in that it is based on the Israeli Merkava/Slammer tank hull turned into an IFV. This gives it exceptional levels of armour protection, but a comparatively poor armament of a dual mount RCWS (Remote Control Weapon System) sporting a 12.7 HMG with 200 round belts and 600 spare as well as a 40MM grenade machinegun with 96 HEDP (High Explosive, Dual Purpose) grenades that are effective against infantry, but have a small amount of armour penetration for lighter vehicles like MRAPS or other IFV's.

Because of it's short ranged armament, heavy and lack of anti-tank potential (40MM grenades have slow travel time over distance and mediocre armour penetration and the HMG is a general use weapon) the Panther excels in close range brawling in urban areas or forests, as the heavy armour is effective against ambushes and longer range engagements that show the weakness of it's weaponry are not likely.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads

CRV-6e Bobcat
The Bobcat is the engineering support variant of the Panther, and it is equipped with a dozer blade, giving it improved frontal armour and better mine and explosive resistance. It also acts as a resupply vehicle and can give others repairs and ammunition. Unlike the Panther, the Bobcat does not have a GMG, being armed only with the 12.7 HMG.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads

NATO Land Vehicle Part 2
M2A1/M2A4 Slammer (Merkava Mk4)
A licensed copy of an Israeli tank built in Central Europe, this vehicle brings both versatility and maximal crew protection to the battlefield. It significant appreciation from Western European armies in the 21st century. The M2A1 is armed with a 120mm cannon and a coaxial machine gun. This tank has proven itself in battle and thanks to heavy manufacturing, it became the second most wide spread main battle tank of many countries around the world.

The Slammer is the MBT most designed around crew survivability, with heavy armour and a frontally mounted engine, meaning rounds that penetrate the front are more likely to disable the engine than wound the crewmen. It's armament is a 120MM smoothbore gun and the standard loadout of the Slammer gives it 24 rounds of armour-piercing fin-stabilised discarding sabot (APFSDS-T), 12 high-explosive (HE-T), and 12 high-explosive anti-tank multi-purpose (HEAT-MP-T) shells. It also has a coaxial MG. Unlike the other faction's main MBT's the base M2A1 lacks a commander operated 12.7 HMG, giving it reduced firepower but helping with it's excessive weight and slow speed.

The M2A4 Slammer UP is the Urban Purpose variant of the M2A1 Slammer. Compared to the basic version, it features heavier armour with a reinforced rear of the tank, additional ERA and a remote-controlled turret fitted with 12.7 mm heavy machine gun. The UP kit gives the vehicle additional armour in the form of explosive reactive armour (ERA) bricks that give an already durable tank even more protection, particularly against rocket launchers and smaller ATGM missiles, however that and the additional commander HMG come at the cost of even more weight, slowing the vehicle further, meaning the Slammer and Slammer UP are the slowest MBT's among all the factions. ERA panels are single use explosives that detonate when shot to use the blast wave to push the enemy projectile away from the vehicle to protect it.

It is unique in that both Slammer variants have the ability to transport infantry in the back, up to 6 passengers, making it extremely useful not just as an offensive weapon but as an infantry support vehicle as well.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads
Maroon = Turret
Gold = Gun

Rhino MGS (Rooikat)
The Rhino MGS (Mobile Gun System) is the latest wheeled tank destroyer in NATO armoured forces, designed for easy transportation to crisis regions. Its lightweight 120mm main cannon can use all conventional rounds including MARUK ATGMs, which increase its effective range to 8 km. The vehicle's secondary weapon is the .338 magnum SPMG coaxial machinegun. The price paid for the Rhino's great mobility and firepower is its light armour and low supplies of ammo and fuel. The 'UP' version is equipped with a remotely operated 12.7mm HMG and improved protection, provided by a cage and reactive armor. However, with this setup, it's too bulky to fit into many transport vehicles, including the Blackfish VTOL.

In comparison to the extreme armour and weight of the Slammer, the Rhino takes the firepower of a 120MM smoothbore gun and the weight and fast speed of a light armoured wheeled vehicle and combines them. The standard loadout of the Rhino gives it 12 rounds of armour-piercing fin-stabilised discarding sabot (APFSDS-T), 8 high-explosive (HE-T), and 8 high-explosive anti-tank multi-purpose (HEAT-MP-T) shells for the main gun.

The coaxial 338 Norma SPMG feeds from a 200-round belt, and has a further 3 belt boxes spare, being much more powerful than the usual coaxial 6.5 or 7.62 gunner's MG. It also has four MARUK laser-guided anti-tank missiles which are launched directly from the main cannon, something it can combine with the commander's laser designator, or an outside vehicle like a UAV, to provide pinpoint accurate laser guided missiles even beyond the visual range of the MGS itself or over hills and other terrain. This makes the Rhino versatile and able to act as a mobile missile support platform, a rapid but armoured recon and scouting vehicle, or just a conventional fighting vehicle.

It's biggest weakness is it's lack of armour making it very vulnerable to rockets, ATGM's or conventional tanks, so installing the optional UP ERA or SLAT cage armour can improve it's staying power in engagements at the cost of increasing the size and bulk of the vehicle, meaning it's no longer able to be air-transported by Blackfish VTOLs. The UP kit also, like the Slammer M2A4, adds an additional commander operated 12.7 HMG.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads
Maroon = Turret
Gold = Gun

IFV-6a Cheetah
While both the IFV-6c Panther and IFV-6a Cheetah are based on the Israeli armoured personnel carrier chassis, they each serve very distinct roles in combat. The Cheetah is a dedicated AA vehicle. The cargo space is taken up by ammunition storage for the vehicle's 35mm autocannons. It is also armed with air-to-air missiles and smoke grenade.

The Cheetah is armed with twin 35MM autocannons with 680 HE-T rounds with 4 Titan AA IR guided missiles on the sides of the turrets, with one reload for 8 missiles in total. Because it is based on the same chassis as the Panther, it has very good armour protection. The Cheetah's radar system can detect air targets at 9KM and ground targets at 6KM.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads
Maroon = Turret

M4 Scorcher (M109A7 Paladin, Sholef hull)
Based on the licensed version of an Israeli tank chassis, the Scorcher M4 is a 155mm self-propelled artillery at the end of its lifetime cycle. It has modules allowing indirect fire support, with an advanced artillery computer allowing for various unguided and guided ammunition to be fired. The rear of the chassis no longer permits transporting passengers, as ammunition storage is installed.

The M4 carries 32 rounds of 155MM HE in addition a wide variety of special shells- 2 IR/heat seeking, 6 anti-infantry cluster mines, 2 HE cluster shells, 6 White Smoke, 2 Laser Guided, 6 Anti-Tank cluster mines. It's secondary armament is a commander operated RCWS turret fitted with a 12.7 HMG and a 40MM GMG, making it, in addition to being on the Slammer heavy chassis, quite durable and able to defend itself well against infantry attacks, but it should still make use it's main 155MM gun and artillery computer whenever possible.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads
Maroon = Turret
Gold = Gun

M5 Sandstorm (M270 MLRS, Merkava hull)
The Swedish Multiple Launch Rocket System is a replacement of the original U.S. MLRS platform. Built in 2021, it utilizes smaller rockets equipped with modern engines, resulting in longer range and accuracy. The launch pod is mounted on a Slammer chassis.

The M5 carries 12 230MM rockets with either regular HE or cluster bomblets inside. It has an artillery computer for aiming. It lacks any form of defensive weapon and has a small 2 man crew, but when used effectively can easily demolish towns and buildings as well as groups of enemy infantry or armour with ease.

NATO Air Vehicles Part 1
MH-9 Hummingbird/AH-9 Pawnee (MH-6/AH-6 Littlebird)
A light single-engine helicopter used in special operations by the US Army since the Vietnam War. It now exists in several variants used by both military and civilian transport.

The MH-9 Hummingbird is mostly used as a special forces troop transport with its two outboard benches.

Both the armed (AH-9) and transport (MH-9) light helicopters with exceptional handling and agility to go along with their compact size, meaning they are great for small team insertions in urban streets, rooftops or forest clearings but they lack almost any armour. The small size also makes it difficult to detect on radar, particularly when flying low to the ground over rough terrain like towns and forests.

The AH-9 Pawnee variant is a light helicopter with the ability to carry anti-ground fixed forward-firing weapons such as unguided rockets and machine guns to provide direct air-support for Special Operations Forces.
The armed variant, the AH-9 Pawnee has twin M134 miniguns and 2 dynamic loadout slots, by default carrying DAR rocket pods, both of which are aimed with a grease pencil mark on the glass cockpit.

Both variants lack a radar warning system or any kind of flares/countermeasures for incoming enemy missiles and the lack of armour means it can be easily downed by small-calibre rifle fire. The transport has 6 passenger seats, of which 4 can fire from the benches to protect the heli if needed.Both variants can slingload cargo, but only the smallest crates and a quadbike.

UH-80 Ghost Hawk (MH-60 Blackhawk Stealth)
The UH-80 Ghost Hawk is a BLUFOR medium-lift utility helicopter with stealth design. The Ghost Hawk was developed for special operations with a focus on deployment and extraction of troops undetected by enemy radar. Some pilots say the stealth design hindered the versatility of the helicopter compared to its predecessor, the UH-60. Nevertheless, the Ghost Hawk is now used as a primary transport helicopter in the BLUFOR army.

It's only armaments are twin side door Miniguns that are unable to be controlled by the pilots, only passengers, but the helicopter is a stealth design, with modified rotors that are less audible at a distance combined with a radar refracting shape that makes it more difficult to be detected. It is outfitted with a RWR to warn of enemy missiles, unlike the MH-9/AH-9.

It can carry a considerable amount of passengers, 10, plus the 2 pilots in addition to being a capable cargo carrier, able to slingload cars up to LSV size.

AH-99 Blackfoot (RAH-66 Commanche)
A two-seat reconnaissance and target designation helicopter used to seek targets for gunships. Even though the construction dates back some time and the program faced cancellation in the first years of the 21st century, the project was finished successfully and the Blackfoot became the first attack helicopter to field stealth technology, which was even applied to the main rotor. The Blackfoot is extremely fast, agile and hard to detect even by contemporary sensors. However it is slowly becoming outdated.

The Blackfoot is a stealth gunship, making it harder to hear at distance and detect via radar systems, but to accomplish this it sacrifices armaments. It has RWR and active radar with a range of 5KM against air targets and 4KM against ground targets as well as a laser designator. The gunship has only a rather weak 20MM HE nose gun and 6 weapons in an internal weapon pod, limiting it to primarily single AA/AT missiles or smaller pods. To make up somewhat for this, it has access to the DAGR pod, which are 70MM laser-guided rockets, much smaller than a gunship's normal AT weapons but in greater numbers due to the small space of the internal weapons bay. It is also very agile and incredibly fast for a gunship, but poorly armoured.
NATO Air Vehicles Part 2
A-164 Wipeout (A-10 Warthog)
The A-164 Wipeout is a single-seat aircraft used for close air support and air interdiction. The life-cycle of its predecessor, the A-10, ended in 2030 and the need for replacement grew more important with the rising tension in the Pacific. A limited development budget did not allow for a fresh start, instead the concept of the A-10 was improved with better shape, engines and armaments.

Based on the iconic American A-10, the Wipeout is a dedicated ground attack aircraft, unable to break the sound barrier at all like the other jets and built around it's 30MM Gatling cannon with 1,000 rounds of HE shells for anti-infantry and anti-vehicle missions. It also has a large amount of heavy dynamic loadout slots, 10, for carrying large amounts of anti-ground and limited anti-air weapons. It has an inbuilt targeting pod and laser designator to pair with it's many laser guided weaponry.

It handles very poorly, being slow, having a poor top speed and unable to do hard maneuvers due to how heavily armoured it is. It's stealth capabilities are also bad, and it's very vulnerable to any enemy air support or long range AA missile systems. It does not have an active radar system, but does have a 12KM RWR and a passive sensor with a range of 5KM against air targets and 4KM against ground targets.The Wipeout use a passive anti-radiation sensor in place of an active radar that can detect all radar emissions in a 90 degree hemisphere, with a maximum detection range of up to 8KM.

F/A-181 Black Wasp II (F/A-18E / F22A Raptor)
The F/A-181 Black Wasp II is a fifth-generation, single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter jet. The aircraft was designed primarily as an air-superiority fighter, but also has ground attack capabilities. Its additional external hardpoints enable the aircraft to carry a wide variety of weapons configurations. The Black Wasp is fitted with the required equipment for carrier operations.

In the complete opposite of the A-164, the Black Wasp is a specialist fighter jet armed with a 20MM minigun with 450 HE rounds and two variants. The Stealth variant, like the Blackfoot, sacrifices some of it's weapon options for an internal weapon bay giving it 8 internal weapon slots, but improving it's Stealth characteristics against radar detection. It has an active radar with a range of 15KM against air targets and 8KM against ground targets, as well as an RWR with a range of 12KM. It has better avionics and technology than it's CSAT conterpart, the To-201, but inferior handling at close ranges, meaning it should prioritise it's long range missiles and sensors rather than close in with it's poor gun.

The full combat load variant mounts 12 weapon slots, and both have targeting pods with laser designators for use with things such as laser guided GBU-12 bombs. It also has a tailhook, allowing it to perform carrier landings on the USS Freedom, while also being able to fold it's wings to make it more compact when parked.

VX-44 Blackfish (A/C-130/ VTOL)
The V-44X Blackfish’s third-generation tilt-rotor VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) technology allows this long endurance aircraft to conveniently utilize a wide range of airfields and runways. It also provides unparalleled maneuverability with its unique ability to perform pylon turns or merely hover in place. The huge internal storage allows for transportation of vehicles up to the size and weight of AMV-7 Marshall APC or Rhino MGS in the vehicle transport variant or up to 32 fully armed soldiers with supplies in the infantry transport variant. The storage space of the gunship variant is fully occupied by automated weapon stations and carried ammunition.

A very large VTOL aircraft able to convert using tilt-rotors between helicopter and plane handling modes, it is used primarily as a long distance and large capacity hauler for large numbers of infantry (32) or cargo and vehicles. All three variants, vehicle cargo, infantry and gunship, are equipped with a laser designator for marking targets, but only the gunship is armed.

All variants have poor mobility due to it's large size, long wings and the transports lack any kind of weapon. Also due to it's size it can also be detected from very far away by radar and other sensors. The Blackfish's has a 12KM RWR and it's active radar has a range of 7KM against air targets and 4KM against ground targets. It also has a large crew of at least 4 men.

The Gunship variant is based on an AC-130, requiring multiple gunners and packs enormous armament of a 105MM howitzer with a massive stockpile of 100 HEAT rounds, a 40MM cannon with 160 AP and 240 GP (general purpose) rounds and a 20MM minigun with 4,000 HE rounds on the left side only, so the pilot must orbit around the target area to engage enemy ground targets.
FIA, Freedom and Independence Army
Believed to be chiefly composed of former and defected members of the Altis Armed Forces, disparate fragments of opposition to the 2026 Kavala coup d'etat joined together in the grind of bloody civil war.
United in pursuit of the removal of the military-backed government and the rejection of external influence - despite recent setbacks - the FIA have begun to gain traction among the largely displaced population of the Republic and has found international support in the west.

Although the exact size of the FIA remains unknown - with evidence of cells operating across the entirety of Altis - they have remained a veritable thorn in the Pyrgos government’s side. As to the question of their namesake, rumours harken back to stories of resistance cells of the same name opposing Soviet occupation at the height of the Cold War.

FIA loyalists remained after the Civil War era, unlike their pro-AAF counterparts who dissolved after the conflict due to the AAF taking power. Their primary leader in 2035 is Kostas Stavrou, with arms smuggling and supplies for the FIA being delivered by Nikos Panagopoulos as well as other, undisclosed parties.

FIA fighters are armed with a mix of weapons and equipment, with no standardised uniforms. Their primary weapons are TRG (TAR-21) and Mk20 (FN F2000) 5.56 rifles supported by Mk200 and Zafir LMG's as well as RPG-42's and M4 MAAWS as their primary Anti-tank weapons. Unlike the FIA during the Civil War, post War FIA have a smaller pool of weapons and no access to captured Gorgon IFV's, so they are mainly equipped with light civilian vehicles and technicals.

Quadbike / ATV (Yamaha Grizzly 450)
A Quadbike is an all-terrain vehicle with low-pressure tires and handlebars for steering. The military uses quad bikes for reconnaissance and to access terrain difficult for heavier vehicles.

The Quadbike is used in almost every faction as a very light and versatile scouting and recon vehicle. It can be easily cargo transported or sling loaded, and provides the 2 users fast on and offroad mobility, but it is completely exposed to fire, relying on speed, handling and it's small size to avoid dangerous situations.

Weakpoints
Green = Unarmoured Body/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

Offroad (Isuzu D-Max)
The 4x4 pickup by Generic Motors is a perfect choice for farmers and hunters. The durable chassis and powerful engine have been designed to withstand anything from the cratered highways of Central Europe to the rugged terrain of the Mediterranean. The armed version is fitted either with a .50 caliber M2 heavy machine gun or an SPG-9 anti-tank recoilless rifle. It provides the combination of mobility and firepower to many paramilitary and guerilla forces in local conflicts around the globe. Specialized versions, which sport a hard rear cover and rack-mounted communications equipment, are in use by law enforcement, national park rangers, and armed forces. These vehicles feature a large floodlight, loudspeakers, and long-range antennas.

In addition to armed and transport variants, the FIA also have access to engineering and support variants of the Offroad. It's a good all-rounded, able to reach good speeds both on and offroad, but armed variants, due to the extra weight, are slower. The armed variant with the M2 can also mount an optional armour gunshield and red dot sight.

Weakpoints
Green = Unarmoured Body/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

Truck (Iveco Daily)
The civilian 4x4 truck is a highly customizable truck with off-road capabilities preferred by the civilian population. It builds on retro design, but utilizes a modern engine and electronics. Most common track setups are boxed, cistern and pick-up set.

A heavier vehicle used by the FIA for infantry transport and support roles, as well as being a common civilian vehicle, the truck is unarmoured, rather large and bulky, and handles poorly offroad due to it's size, height and weight.

Van ( Mercedes-Benz Sprinter)
The standard van can be used for a huge variety of practical purposes. This particular model features a long load length and excellent roof height, allowing for the transport of passengers, cargo, or even some smaller vehicles. Several aftermarket exterior components, such as a ladder, protective guards and a roof rack, can be fitted where appropriate.

Having a higher top speed than the Truck on-road, the Van can be used for troop transport, vehicle cargo and supporting roles. It can seat 12 in the transport variants and is, like most civilian vehicles, unarmoured.

Weakpoints
Green = Unarmoured Body/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank
CTRG, Combat Technology Research Group
CTRG, Combat Technology Research Group
Operating under the direct command of NATO's highest echelons, CTRG is a multi-national special forces unit that conducts clandestine, black operations throughout the globe.

CTRG's existence is neither acknowledged or recognised by NATO, and all operations involving the unit are always publicly denied or are conducted under the guise of other conventional forces. Its known specialities include but are not limited to, assassination, psychological warfare, counterinsurgency, and military technology espionage.

CTRG has known links to the British Special Boat Service, but is not exclusively British, and is divided into 'Groups' that each have a region of control, similar to US Navy SEAL Teams. Group 14 is deployed in the Medditerran during the Altis Civil War and afterwards, while Group 15 is the player squad during the Apex Protocol COOP Campaign.

CTRG Teams wear Splinter style camo on Crye G3 uniforms and plate carriers, with Team 14 carrying MX's and Mk14 EBR's while Team 15 uses a range of SPAR-16 and SPAR-17 rifles (HK416A5 / HK417A5). They also have access to Thermal protecting variants of their uniforms that conceal themselves from thermal vision devices at the cost of extra weight, and Team 15 also has helmets that incorporate chops for extra protection. The chops are based on a Crye addon for their helmets.

Their vehicles are identical to NATO variants except for camo pattern, and lack NATO's heavier vehicles due to being a SOF / Special Forces group.

Tanoan Gendarmerie Lore and Infantry
Tanoa's origins as a former French colony in the South Pacific means that it has the Gendarmerie, who form the islands police and security forces. The Gendarmerie is a kind of Military Police force, and it's mixed background means they often have better training and equipment compared to a purely civilian force. The primary languages are French and English. Following natural disasters there was a large spike in criminal and drug trafficking in the area, resulting in increasing military like roles in the police, until the eventual deployment of NATO forces to the islands to maintain order.

The Gendarmerie form Tanoa's main internal force, and were the local law enforcement agencies on the Horizon Islands, and they have been expanded to counter the rising illegal drug and weapons trading from the Syndikate cartel groups. The primary police patrol weapon is the Protector SMG (HK MP5K-PDW), with the P07 (Walther P99) being the primary sidearm. The police wear blue uniforms and light body armour, with their patrols lack higher level rifle rated body armour and heavier weapons than pistol calibre, relying on rapid response teams from other organisations for support.

INDEPENDENT Factions
Independent, INDEP, or 'Green' factions are Independent nations not part of the major NATO codes of BLUFOR (NATO/ 'your' Force) or OPFOR (Opposing Force to 'You') and is often used to refer to, for example, allied resistance fighters, other militaries not under 'Your' direct control, such as the Afghan National Army being referred to as 'Green' or in Arma's case the AAF, Altis Armed Forces as well as other groups.

Independent factions include-
AAF, Altis Armed Forces
INDEP FIA, Freedom and Independence Army
Syndikate
Livonian Defence Forces
Russian Spetznaz
Altis Armed Forces Lore and Infantry
In the wake of civil war, the Jerusalem Cease Fire of 2030 mandated the creation of an armed defence force to secure the sovereign territory of The Republic of Altis and Stratis.

Although it officially operates under the observation and training of international peacekeepers, the force remains loyal to the new, hard-line Altis government and acts with de facto judicial and executive authority. However, it is debilitated by an inexperienced command structure and is blighted by widespread corruption. Because of this they lack a real equivalent to NATO and CSAT's Special Forces and Recon teams within the faction.

Limited in scope, the battalion-sized force, led by Col. Georgious Akhanteros, is weighed-down by on-going counter-insurgency operations on Altis and, recently, has reached-out to the international community for additional support including, among others, both the political and militarized wings of CSAT member states and associated private investment companies.

AAF, the Altis Armed Forces are the national military of Altis and Stratis, island nations in the Aegean Sea. The nation was divided when a military coup, led by Georgious Akhanteros, stormed the capital city and took over the country, causing the Altian Civil War in 2026.

The war continued to rage between 2026 and 2030, when the pro-government loyalist fighters were defeated by the military forces of the coup and a ceasefire is called between the two groups in Jerusalem, resulting in the end of the Civil War with a victory for Georgious Akhanteros and his recognition as the legitimate government. Because of the disturbance of the conflict and the formalised establishment of the AAF, the Altis Armed Forces, under the new government, NATO peacekeepers are called in to the region to try and professionalise and improve the AAF's relations with the rest of the West.

AAF forces are equipped entirely in green digital camouflage, and have mixed calibres for their infantry, being armed mostly with FN F2000/ Mk20 rifles in 5.56 supported by Stoner/ Mk200 light machineguns in 6.5 and Marksmen armed with 7.62 NATO Mk18 / Mk14 EBR's.

Compared to their NATO counterparts AAF forces often have light calibre infantry weapons but heavier body armour that covers more areas like the groin and shoulders and don't have any lightweight helmets, with all helmets being MICH style. Because of their lighter weapons and heavier armour coverage they are quite effective in close quarters urban and forest fighting, but lack the ability to project their engagements into longer ranges.
Altis Armed Forces Land Vehicles
Strider (German Fennek)
The Strider is a medium all-terrain vehicle with amphibious capability and enhanced crew protection, designed for reconnaissance and troop transport roles. It has been adopted by most of the AAF as a replacement for the older medium troop transports of the past decade. The unarmed version is fitted with an observation periscope package with thermal imaging and a laser marker.
The armed version of the basic troop transporter is equipped with a Remotely Controlled Weapons System turret fitted with the universal 12.7mm heavy machine gun or the multi-role 40mm Grenade Machine. Armed versions share the observation periscope used for reconnaissance duty.

The HMG armed variant has a max range of 800 to 1,500 meters while the lower velocity 40MM HE GMG variant is mostly effective within 600 to 1200 meters due to the slow moving and arcing grenades making accurate shots difficult, particularly on smaller or moving targets.

Despite it being also used as a recon vehicle it's the heaviest of the three major faction's MRAP's and is more difficult to sling load and air-transport.

Maroon = Turret control systems

Nyx (German Weisel AWC Armoured Weapon Carrier)
The AWC 300 Nyx family consists of a number of light, fast and agile combat vehicles used by the AAF. While small and lightly armored, the Nyx can surprise enemies by striking from unexpected positions with its decent and accurate firepower. The anti-tank and air-defense variants are equipped with IR guided missiles and a 12.7mm HMG. The strike variant uses a 20mm autocannon and a 7.62mm coaxial machinegun. The recon variant is unarmed, but uses its radar and sensors to detect nearby threats and pass target data to friendly units via datalink. It can also paint targets with its laser designator, which is located on a telescopic mount.

One of the AAF's most unique vehicles is the Nyx, a very light, agile and small weapons carrier, it is a modern tankette and is lighter armoured but of great use in supporting roles as a scouting and support vehicle to back up AAF infantry's dominance at close range engagements. It has a small 2 man crew and no troop transport capability.

The Nyx is very fragile, being able to be destroyed by RPG's and even 40MM grenade launchers and heavy machineguns, but makes up for it with mobility while also providing AAF troops with a very useful mobile anti-air missile vehicle platform, as the AAF lack a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun platform.

Zamak (Kamaz)
The Zamak is used by AAF, LDF and CSAT forces, and is the AAF standard military cargo truck. It is completely unarmoured and has a range of variants including troop transport, fuel tanker, medical transport, engineering and repair, ammunition and finally an armed rocket launching variant as artillery support. The transport variants can fit 14 passengers.
Weakpoints
Green = unarmoured body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel Tanks

AFV-4 Gorgon (Austrian Pandur II)
The Gorgon is AAF's wheeled IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle), and is armed with a remote 30MM autocannon with 280 MP-T (Multi-purpose explosive Tracer) and 120 AP shells. It's main armament for engaging heavier armoured vehicles is it's mounted heavy Titan Anti-Tank Guided Missiles.

The Gorgon also, like all autocannon armed vehicles, sports a coaxial light machinegun. While the remote controlled turret does give it an advantage in crew protection it also gives it a very high silhouette and the remote turret systems can be damaged by lighter weapons like HMG's and 40MM grenades.

It has a troop capacity of 8 fully equipped AAF (or FIA, as captured Gorgons are also used by FIA fighters) soldiers and 3 crewmen and is fully amphibious and able to swim.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Maroon = Turret control systems

FV-720 Mora (British FV510 Warrior)
The FV-720 Mora is an infantry fighting vehicle used by the AAF. They were bought by the AAF from British Armed Forces and reconditioned to serve two more decades. The Mora is armed with a 30mm cannon and a coaxial machine gun, providing not only competent carrying capacity but also reliable fire support.

The Mora, based on the British FV510 Warrior IFV, is AAF (as FV-720 Mora) and the LDF (as FV-720 Odyniec) tracked APC. In comparison to the other IFV used by the AAF, the Gorgon, the Mora has a manned turret fitting an upgraded 30MM autocannon that is improved over the original British variant with a dual-feed ammunition system, reducing the reload frequency from the British variant's poor 6 round capacity.

While using a manned turret means the Mora is lower profile and has better all around armour protection than the Gorgon, but it sacrifices the ATGM launcher and one seat of infantry capacity, seating 7 men and 3 crewmen instead of the Gorgon's 8. It is also not amphibious.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Maroon = Turret control systems
Blue = Tracks

MBT-52 Kuma (German Leopard 2)
The MBT-52 Kuma is the main battle tank used by Altian Armed Forces. A batch of a few dozen tanks and spare turrets were bought under-price from a South-European country facing economic collapse. Like similar MBTs of the era, the Kuma is armed with a 120mm cannon, 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a remotely controlled 12.7mm HMG. The level of protection for the crew is also remarkable, thanks to additional armor layers.

The Kuma is armed with a 120MM smoothbore gun with no ATGM option, and the standard loadout of the Kuma gives it 20 rounds of armour-piercing fin-stabilised discarding sabot (APFSDS-T), 12 rounds of high-explosive (HE-T), and 12 high-explosive anti-tank multi-purpose (HEAT-MP-T) shells. Secondary armament are both a small coaxial MG and a commander operated 12.7 HMG.

Whereas the Slammer is heavily designed around protection, the Kuma is more balanced, being rather fast but also sporting unique pre-installed SLAT cages around the rear of the tank, protecting the sides and rear of the hull and turret- likely as a lesson learned from fighting FIA Guerrilla ambushes.

This pre-installed SLAT armour gives the Kuma better protection against high explosive rounds without comprising it's size like adding extra SLAT on the other armoured vehicles does. Like regular SLAT the cages are destroyed after taking enough damage, exposing the armour underneath.

Altis Armed Forces Air Vehicles
WY-55 Hellcat (Agusta Westland AW159 Wildcat)
The WY-55 Hellcat is a multipurpose military helicopter, most suited for anti-surface, battlefield utility with limited transport capability. It replaces its predecessor, the Super Lynx, with improved maneuverability, durability, and protection. It can sling load, but only smaller non-armoured vehicles like Quads, Offroads and civilian cars. Its also fitted with a thermal camera that can be controlled by the co-pilot for recon and scouting, but the large size and loud but powerful engines of the Hellcat make it less useful in the scouting role.

The Hellcat's primary armament is twin miniguns with 5,000 7.62MM rounds and 24 unguided DAR rocket pods, with 2 dynamic weapon pylons for customisation. It supports a RWR, radar warning receiver, to detect incoming enemy missiles. It's less specialised than NATO helicopters, having poor anti-air weapon options but a decent range of rockets and ATGM's and is more of a generalist, unlike the MH-9 it can carry both weapons and passengers at the same time, with more weapon slots than the PO-30 Orca but with a smaller troop capacity of 6 men and 2 pilots.

CH-49 Mohawk (AW101/HC3 Merlin)
A successor to the wide-spread Merlin, the CH-49 Mohawk is a primary transport used by the AAF. It can carry up to 16 soldiers plus crew. Upgrades from its predecessor consist of more powerful engines and construction changes fully utilizing modern materials.

The Mohawk is the AAF's medium transport helicopter, being completely unarmed apart from the ability of the passengers to fire out of the rear door, it's main role is infantry transport and logistics. It supports a RWR, radar warning reciever, to detect incoming enemy missiles. It is a smaller helicopter than it's counterparts, the NATO Huron and CSAT Taru, but as a result cannot carry the same cargo loads, but is able to airlift the AWC Nyx and all it's variants, but not other AAF military vehicles.

A-143 Buzzard (L-159 ALCA)
The A-143 Buzzard is a single seat, light, multipurpose combat aircraft able to carry a wide range of equipment and weaponry. Possessing seven hard-points, three are located under each wing with one mounted under the fuselage. Close air support armament consists of a 20mm cannon, two Mk2 unguided bombs, two GBU12 laser guided bombs, and Skalpel air-to-ground missiles.

Unlike other faction's combat fixed wing aircraft, the Buzzard has no internal gun, instead using a 20MM external gunpod on the centre pylon, meaning that if desired the gun can be removed for more weapon pylons. There are two variants, an AA and a CAS variant, with the CAS variant being the only one to mount an inbuilt laser designator. On the plus side, it's one of the smaller jets in the game making it more difficult to detect on radar despite not being a stealth design.

The Radar on the Buzzard is mostly optimised for ground attack and close air support, being 8KM for air targets and 4KM for ground targets.

It's rather poor for air-to-air engagements, as while it does handle better than the dedicated NATO ground attack Wipeout, it lacks a passive anti-radiation missile radar and the active radar is short ranged and it lacks the ability to mount AMRAAM C long range AA missiles, being limited to the radar guided Zephyrs, which have shorter lockon ranges and low quality missile sensors meaning you need to be very precise in aiming the aircraft at the target to get effective locks.

A-149 Gryphon (JAS 39 Gripen)
The A-149 Gryphon is a fourth-generation, single-seat, single-engine, and all-weather tactical fighter jet. The aircraft was designed as a multi-role platform at an affordable cost, and unlike some of the larger air-superiority jets, it can also perform well in low-altitude flight. Despite its aging platform, the A-149 has still been upgraded with newer sensors and weapons systems.

Unlike the Buzzard, the Gryphon's 20MM gun is internal with 250 rounds of HE ammunition, with the aircraft sporting an externally mounted sensor and targeting pod with unbuilt laser designator. It has 6 weapon hardpoints and can mount improved AA missiles like the AMRAAM C but the sensor pod is limited to forwards facing only and cannot rotate 360 degrees like some other vehicles.

The radar has a range of 12KM against Air targets and 8KM against ground targets. Overall the Gryphon is a more effective general combatant against air targets than the Buzzard, but it is still not very effective at long range BVR (Beyond Visual Range) engagements with higher class enemy aircraft like the Black Wasp or Shikra but is not heavily specialised like those above and still able to perform as a ground attacker.
Syndikat Cartel Lore and Infantry
Positioned as a Independent guerrilla faction, Syndikat is a local crime organization with deep roots on Tanoa. Made up of armed thugs and ex-paramilitaries, this new faction is involved in many illicit operations throughout the region, carrying mostly outdated weaponry such as AK's, RPG-7s, and Makarov pistol's.

The Syndikate Cartel is a sizeable guerilla force that mostly consists of scattered insurgent groups operating in small cells directly under Warlock's (Solomon Maru) control. The bulk of their forces mainly consist of anti-government paramilitary types mixed in with bandits, petty criminals, as well as drugs, medicine and weapon smugglers.

They are a mixed insurgency organisation striking from the Tanoan jungles against the local Gendarmerie Police, who called for NATO assistance against them. Because of their mixed compositions, uniforms are not common, but some of the fighters wear Lizard camouflage due to being former organised rebels. Their armaments are mostly older firearms like 7.62x39 AKM's and AK-12's, AKS-74U carbines and supported by RPG-7's and LIM-85 5.56MM machineguns. After the events of the Apex Protocol campaign they reformed into 'L'Ensemble' with more weapons including double barrel shotguns as well as NATO SPAR rifles.

MB 4WD (Jeep Wrangler)
The MB 4WD is a modern four-wheel drive off-road vehicle with a distinctive construction. The vehicle was produced in the US and exists in a number of different editions. Thanks to the powerful engine, durable chassis and great maneuverability, this vehicle can handle difficult terrains from dry deserts to humid jungles or artic wastelands. The MB 4WD can be used as a civilian car, and all variants lack all armour.

The main transport vehicle and technical for the Cartel, it comes in transport, LMG and AT variants. Transport and civilian variants can seat 4, while the armed variant, due to the gunner's mount on the rollcage, seats 3. Armed variants include a LMG variant with a 5.56 LIM-85 while the AT variant carries an old Soviet era SPG-9. Due to the lack of windows all passengers can fire their personal weapons.

Weakpoints
Green = Unarmoured Body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

Caesar BTT (Cessna TTX)
The Caesar BTT is a single-engine, fixed-gear, low-wing general aviation aircraft built from composite materials. The Caesar BTT is one of the fastest fixed-gear, single-engine piston aircraft, reaching a speed of 235 knots (435 km/h) true air speed at 25,000 feet (7,600 m). It is used by civilians and smaller shipping companies all around the world.

It is available in two variants; the standard version and a dedicated racing variant designed for air sports. Unlike the standard variant, the racing variant has better and sharper handling but has the same top speed as the standard variant. It lacks a radar but due to it's small size is slightly stealthy.

A notable feature of the BTT are its dual-sided doors, which all passengers and crew can use to bail out in-flight. Because it also comes stocked with up to four parachutes by default, it is capable of acting as an improvised paradrop plane if necessary.

Although it has rather poor fuel economy and cannot fly for an extended period of time, it is sufficient for just relocating passengers from one side of Tanoa/Altis to another, or for short recreational flights around either island with it's 1 pilot and 3 passengers. It is relatively easy to pilot and has simple controls, making it suitable for novice flyers to practice their flight skills in.
Looters Lore and Infantry
A minor Livonian faction that became more prominent following First Contact, what had previously been smaller criminal organisations become roaming groups of combatants armed with civilian and police weapons like shotguns, M14 rifles and PDW-2000's.

Livonian Defence Force Lore and Infantry
Livonia regained it's independence following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, and has since been incorporated into NATO as an official member-state, and it has been used as training grounds for NATO exercises due to rising tensions with CSAT member state Belarus as well as fears of Russian infiltration.

Due to the rugged and heavily forested terrain the Livonian Defence Forces are primarily outfitted as light infantry, with motorised and mechanised elements used to patrol the flatter areas of the country around the river valleys. Livonia is heavily inspired by the Polish Armed forces and Swedish Army, and they carry a variant of the Polish MSBS Grot B (Promet) as their standard infantry infantry rifle, supported by Mk200 LMG's and wearing forest Splinter Camo for their uniforms.
Livonian Defence Force Vehicles
The LDF primarily use European vehicles like the Zamak and license produced variants of the Mora and Hellcat, with a range of mostly light vehicles due to the terrain of Livonia.

Offroad (Isuzu D-Max)
Specialized versions of this 4x4 pickup, which sport a hard rear cover and rack-mounted communications equipment, are in use by law enforcement, national park rangers, and armed forces. These vehicles feature a large floodlight, loudspeakers, and long-range antennas.

Offroads are used by the LDF as cheap, fast unarmoured transports and support vehicles for when armour is not needed, as well as communication vehicles. They are used by both LDF military and Livonian Forest Rangers.

Weakpoints
Green = unarmoured body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel Tanks

Zamak (Kamaz)
The Zamak is used by AAF, LDF and CSAT forces, and is the LDF standard military cargo truck. It is completely unarmoured and has a range of variants including troop transport, fuel tanker, medical transport, engineering and repair, ammunition and finally an armed rocket launching variant as artillery support. The transport variants can fit 14 passengers.

Weakpoints
Green = unarmoured body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel Tanks

FV-720 Odyniec (FV-510 Warrior)
A license produced variant of the Mora, The Odyniec is armed with a 30mm cannon and a coaxial machine gun with red tracers, providing not only competent carrying capacity but also reliable fire support. It seats 7 passengers and a 3 man crew.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Maroon = Turret control systems
Light Blue = Tracks

WY-55 Czapla (AW159 Wildcat)
The WY-55 Hellcat is a multipurpose military helicopter, most suited for anti-surface, battlefield utility with limited transport capability. It replaces its predecessor, the Super Lynx, with improved maneuverability, durability, and protection. It can sling load, but only smaller non-armoured vehicles like Quads, Offroads and civilian cars. Its also fitted with a thermal camera that can be controlled by the co-pilot for recon and scouting, but the large size and loud but powerful engines of the Hellcat make it less useful in the scouting role.

The Czalpa's primary armament is twin miniguns with 5,000 7.62MM red tracer rounds and 24 unguided DAR rocket pods, with 2 dynamic weapon pylons for customisation. It supports a RWR, radar warning receiver, to detect incoming enemy missiles. It has a troop capacity of 6 men and 2 pilots for both armed and unarmed variants.

Russian Spetznaz Lore and Infantry
Highly trained and versatile, Russian Spetsnaz operatives from the 223rd Special Purpose Detachment have been deployed on covert, deep reconnaissance missions inside Livonia, a member state of NATO.

In light of increased tensions within the past decade, they have been tasked with infiltrating, locating and exploiting security weaknesses within NATO defences in Eastern Europe.

In Arma 3 Russian Spetznaz forces are equipped with 'Granit' uniforms, heavily based on Gorka mountain suits in a few camo and flat colour variants. They wear Kipchak load bearing vests, based on Smersh rigs and are generally lightly equipped scouting and raiding units.

Their primary weapon are AK-12 variants in 7.62x39, including regular AK-12's, AKU-12 carbines and RPK-12 IAR's, with the ASP-1 integrally supressed rifle and the RPG-42 in supporting roles. They do not have ground vehicle support, but do have access to Mi-48 Gunships and To-201 fighter jets for air support and transport.
International Development and Aid Project
International Development & Aid Project, or IDAP, is a Dutch civilian humanitarian organisation that specialises in disaster response, volunteer aid work and the clearing of UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) through bomb defusal and education of militaries on the Laws of Armed Conflict.

They are a Civilian non-combatant organisation added in the Laws of War DLC, for which Bohemia Interactive teamed up with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to raise money for humanitarian aid. Ingame they are primarily useful for medical, logistical support and EOD ( Explosive Ordnance Disposal) and clearing of minefields as well as for mission makers.

IDAP can be identified by their bright colours, mostly White and Orange, and are a non-combatant faction, so are not allied with any side. They mostly use civilian vehicles, but have access to a wide variety of UAV's as well.

OPFOR Factions
OPFOR, or REDFOR, refers to the NATO code for Opposing Force, or the direct enemy. This includes factions like CSAT and OPFIA. RED or REDFOR can also be used for shorthand, as a legacy to the Cold War when RED meant Soviet Pact aligned forces.

OPFOR Factions include-
CSAT
CSAT (Pacific)
OPFOR FIA, Freedom and Independence Army
CSAT Lore and Infantry
CSAT, Canton Protocol Strategic Alliance Treaty, or 广东条约战略联盟组织
Formed at the apex of the Canton Protocol summits, this strategic alliance of states is built upon the goals of mutual defense, expanded global influence, and sustained economic growth.

Set against the context of foundering economies and civil unrest across the west, CSAT has risen in prominence over the last decade. Investment in shared civil and military technology and the aggressive pursuit of opportunities and partnerships throughout Asia, South America and North Africa has led to a sharp increase in strategic tension across the globe, as traditional spheres of power and influence are encroached upon.

Recently partnering with the government of The Republic of Altis and Stratis, joint civilian and military projects are supported by an independent mechanized brigade-sized force officially operates under the authority of Col. Vahid Namdar.

CSAT are a military alliance of Eastern nations, posed as the direct counterpart to NATO. Their main force during the Mediterranean Altian conflict is comprised of Iranian forces in desert Hexcam.

Iranian CSAT are unique in that they have armoured body gloves instead of conventional plate carriers or body armour like NATO and AAF forces, which results in them instead having full-body protection with lighter armour coverage all over, rather than having heavier armour on the torso and head.

Because of this they are mostly equipped with chest rigs, bandoleers and light body armour vests, which help even out their reduced mobility due to the weight of the armoured uniform compared other factions and they also have rather effective helmets. The armoured uniforms are based on a Russian uniform that only saw limited use with Russian Spetznaz due to it being badly insulated and prone to overheating the user in real life, something the CSAT ingame have overcome with additional cooling.

The primary weapon for CSAT Infantry is the Katiba (KH2002), a 6.5 bullpup rifle with a higher rate of fire, but less accuracy and variants than the NATO MX. Their primary support weapons are 7.62 Zafir (Negev NG7 'Commando') and Rahim (VS-121 SVU) for their machinegun and marksman rifle respectively.

CSAT Pacific are CSAT forces that appear on Tanoa, and are signficantly different to their Mediterranean allies, sporting Jungle hex camo and being based on the PLA, armed with a range of Chinese weapons, with the CAR-95 (QBZ-95) in 5.8, a caliber similar to 5.56 but with slightly better penetration, as their main weapon, supported by IAR variants in the CAR-95-1 variant with drum magazines, an extended barrel and integral bipod as well as having the 6.5 CMR-76 as their marksman rifle, giving them better capacity than their Iranian counterpart, the Rahim, at the cost of a lighter calibre.

CSAT have Special Operation Forces consisting of 'Viper' teams that act as a counterpart to CTRG that have more advanced equipment like NV/thermal helmets as well as thermal-concealing uniforms and a unique rifle, the Type 115.
CSAT Land Vehicles Part 1
Ifrit (Russian Karatel MRAP)
The Ifrit is CSAT's light MRAP, with a unique armour and crew layout, using sloped armour all around to provide better protection against fire from the sides and direct front, but with very large bullet resistant glass windows at the front for the centrally located crew and passengers. These windows, while the sloping does help, are the vehicles main weak spot against sustained fire but give great visibility for the crew.

The Ifrit comes with, like all light MRAP's, three main variants, an unarmed variant for troop transport and scouting, and armed variants with 12.7 HMG's and 40MM grenade launchers in RCWS turrets.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank
Maroon = Turret systems

Zamak (Russian Kamaz)
The Zamak is used by AAF, LDF and CSAT forces, and is one of CSAT's military cargo truck options. It is completely unarmoured and has a range of variants including troop transport, fuel tanker, medical transport, engineering and repair, ammunition and finally an armed rocket launching variant as artillery support.

Weakpoints
Green = unarmoured body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel Tanks

Tempest (Kamaz Typhoon)
The Tempest is a 6x6 mine resistant standard transport truck for the CSAT armed forces. Its primary role is to carry troops and cargo under armour. The modular design of the truck allows several transport versions: cargo, refuel, medical, repair and ammo resupply.

A heavier cargo truck more comparable to the NATO HEMTT, the Tempest has a better armoured crew compartment and optional armoured rear bed depending on variant, at the cost of being slower than the Zamak due to the extra weight. Transport variants seat 12 passengers.

Weakpoints
Green = Body/ crew compartment
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel Tanks

MSE-3 Marid (Otokar Arma)
The MSE-3 Marid is an amphibious 6-wheeled APC used by the OPFOR army. It's an agile and maneuverable vehicle with a low silhouette and compact size. Its reliability and maintenance costs match Western APCs. It's fitted as standard with an RCWS turret with 40mm GMG and 6.5mm LMG and is able to carry up to 8 soldiers in the cargo space.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks

BTR-K Kamysh (BM-2T Stalker)
The infantry fighting vehicle BTR-K Kamysh and its anti-aircraft cousin ZSU-39 Tigris share the same vehicle platform. Developed by Russia with a pinch of undeniable inspiration from Israeli IFVs, they serve in the OPFOR army as a prime example of a leveling of the technology field with the West. The Kamysh is equipped with a CTWS turret fitted with a 30mm cannon, coaxial machinegun and 2 guided AT missiles, making the vehicle significant in the infantry support role.

Compared to it's wheeled IFV counterpart, the Kamysh is much bulkier but has heavy firepower, packing an autocannon, ATGM and coax MG into a remote turret, which like most in the game are not heavily armoured due to being unmanned. Due to it's bulk and weight the BTR-K cannot be air transported.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank
Maroon = Turret systems
Gold = Autocannon
CSAT Land Vehicles Part 2
T-100 Varsuk (Russian T-80U Black Eagle)
A modernized version of the Russian T-95 MBT. The ongoing development of the new generation battle tank was restarted in 2016 thanks to revenues from the oil crisis. The new concept of battle tank is lower, lighter with increased maneuverability. The crew was moved from the turret to a more armoured body of the tank resulting in increased survivability. The T-100 Varsuk comes with a standard 125 mm cannon.

The T-100 is equipped with a 125MM main gun with 16 APFSDS-T, 12 HE-T and 12 HEAT-T rounds as well as, unlike the NATO Slammer, being always armed with a commander's 12.7 NSVT HMG in addition to a gunner's coaxial MG. Following it's earlier Russian counterparts in doctrine gives it a lower profile and more compact turret than NATO counterparts, but also gives it lighter conventional armour, as crew survivability is not a major priority An advantage of this is the lighter weight gives is the best speed among all the MBT's as well as trading pure armour for inbuilt ERA protection on the front glacis plate, front of the turret as well as sides, giving it good low-profile single-use protection against infantry AT weapons from the front and sides.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew Position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads
Maroon = Turret
Gold = Gun barrel

T-140 Angara (Russian T-14 Armata)
A licensed variant of the original Russian design operated by the elite of CSAT armored forces. The tank is equipped with a high velocity, high-accuracy 125mm cannon, a 7.62mm coaxial machinegun, and a 12.7mm HMG in a remote turret. The crew is located in an armoured capsule in the hull, improving survivability and eliminating one of the weaknesses of older tank designs. Two main variants are currently in use - the standard T-140 and the T-140K, a 'commander' variant which exchanges the HMG for a 30mm autocannon. In addition, it also provides additional radios and sensors for platoon and company leaders. The disadvantage is its technical complexity and cost, resulting in low production numbers, and also making it's precise armour protection a closely guarded secret.

Much larger and more technically advanced than it's T-100 counterpart, the T-140's bulk is primarily due to it's unique advantage of having a completely remote turret, but unlike it's IFV counterpart this remote turret has armour, removing the biggest weakness of the IFV RCWS turrets.
Because of this all the crewmen are in the heavily armoured hull that like the T-100 has additional ERA protection and the rear has SLAT armour covering the engine bay, making the T-120 a very competitive tank design. Because of all this additional armour and bulk, it's one of the slower tanks.

It has two variants, with the regular variant armed with a 125MM, coaxial MG and commander 12.7 HMG, while the rarer T-140K Angara is better armed, sporting a 30MM autocannon for the commander as well as improved sensor equipment allowing data linking information with supports like UAV's and other vehicle crews. The 30MM has 240 rounds of MP-T dual-purpose HE ammunition, making the command variant extra dangerous against lighter MRAP's, helicopters and APC's in addition to it's main gun. The command sensor suite has a range of 8KM against ground vehicles, and can broadcast contacts to allies within 16KM.

Weakpoints
Green = Hull/ Crew Position
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tanks
Blue = Treads
Maroon = Turret
Gold = Gun barrel

ZSU-39 Tigris (Marksman gun system)
The infantry fighting vehicle BTR-K Kamysh and its anti-aircraft cousin ZSU-39 Tigris share the same vehicle platform. Developed by Russia with a pinch of undeniable inspiration from Israeli IFVs, they serve in the OPFOR army as a prime example of a leveling of the technology field with the West. The Tigris is fitted with a 35mm autocannon and 4 Titan AA missiles.

The SPAAG (Self Propelled Anti-Aircraft System) of CSAT forces, the Tigris combines the Marksman gun system with the BTR chassis, meaning it has better speed than it's NATO counterpart but not as heavy armour. It's armed with twin 35MM autocannons with 680 HE-Tracer rounds and 8 Titan AA missiles. The radar system has a range of 9KM against air targets and 6KM against ground targets.

2S9 Sochor (2S35 Koalitsiya-SV)
The 2S9 Sochor is a lightly armoured self-propelled artillery piece used by the OPFOR army. It's based on the T-100 chassis and fires 155mm projectiles. The T-100 chassis interior has to be heavily modified to allow support for the 155mm cannon with auto-loader. The modification paid off and several Asian countries are now in the process of modernizing their heavy artillery division with the 2S9.

The S29 carries 32 rounds of 155MM HE in addition a wide variety of special shells- 2 IR/heat seeking, 6 anti-infantry cluster mines, 2 HE cluster shells, 6 White Smoke, 2 Laser Guided, 6 Anti-Tank cluster mines. It's secondary armament is a commander operated RCWS turret fitted with a 12.7 HMG and a 40MM GMG with HE grenades only. Using the T-100 chassis, which is lighter than the Slammer, means it is not as well armoured as it's NATO counterpart.

CSAT Air Vehicles Part 1
PO-30 Orca (Ka-60 Kasatka)
The PO-30 Orca is a transport and utility helicopter primarily developed for the Russian Air Force. The helicopter was intended to replace the Mi-8 and can be used for reconnaissance, transporting a full squad with combat gear and special operations. Armed variants of the PO-30 carry a gatling machine gun and DAGR guided rockets.

Serving as CSAT's light general purpose helicopter, the Orca is similar in role to the AAF Hellcat, being available both as a transport and support helicopter as well as a light gunship. Both variants sport a RWR and countermeasures and it is a physically smaller helicopter than the Hellcat and Ghosthawk. It does not have stealth technology and has no laser designator/sensor pod for the co-pilot. It can sling load small and some medium cargo and vehicles, comparable to the Hellcat, but it's lighter weight and less powerful engine means it struggles more.

The Orca's armed variant has two dynamic weapon pylons, by default having a single minigun and two rocket pods.

Mi-48 Kajman (Mi-24/KA-52/Mi-28 Hybrid)
A multipurpose successor to the Mi-24, the Mi-48 Kajman (BLUFOR designation «Hornet») is a large gunship and attack helicopter with troop transport capacity for 8 passengers. The front part of the helicopter is based on the Mi-28 attack helicopter, the coaxial rotor providing increased stability is taken from the Ka-52 and the passenger transport capacity is the same as the Mi-24.

CSAT's exceptionally versatile gunship/transport helicopter, it is unique in that it can serve as both a heavy gunship and a troop transport. The helicopter is armed with a 30MM cannon and 4 dynamic loadout slots. Compared to it's very specialised NATO counterpart the Mi-48 can do any role required, but because of it's design the Mi-48 is very slow, large and heavily armoured, sharing traits with it's inspiration, the Mi-24, as more of a 'flying tank' than a conventional gunship.

Due to it's sheer size and lack of stealth capabilities, the Mi-48 can be easily spotted at extreme ranges on radar, with it's own radar having 5KM range against air targets and 4KM against ground targets. It is also outfitted with RWR.

Mi-290 Taru (Kamov Ka-226)
The Mi-290 Taru is a heavy utility helicopter with coaxial rotors and a unique modular construction. Various mission pods allow the Taru to serve many different roles. It can transport cargo, troops, and provide battlefield supplies (ammunition, fuel, repair facilities, and medical equipment). The helicopter can also transport light vehicles thanks to its sling loading capabilities.

This heavy lift helicopter is unarmed, but the variety of different pods make it very useful for support roles, and it has the greatest cargo capacity among the helicopters, at the cost of being large, easily detected by radar and not very manoeuvrable. Transport variants can seat 16 passengers. It does have RWR and countermeasures, but without even a self defence weapon it should avoid danger whenever possible.
CSAT Air Vehicles Part 2
To-199 Neophron (Yak 130)
The To-199 Neophron is a new addition to CSAT air forces. An agile single-seat aircraft is used for close air support but can also take down air threats. It cannot carry as much payload as NATO's A-164 and has to rearm more often, but it can take-off from even the roughest terrain, not being as dependent on air bases or aircraft carriers.

A light and nimble aircraft, the Neophron has a 30MM cannon and 10 dynamic loadout slots. Due to it's lighter weight, it cannot carry some of the very large weapon pylon options, but the weight allows pilots to handle very tightly, as well as making it the only air-liftable fixed wing aircraft. It does not have an active radar, but has RWR and a passive radar that can detect air targets at 5KM and ground targets at 4KM. It can be transported by the Mi-290 Taru heavy lift helicopter.

To-201 Shikra (Sukhoi Su-57)
The To-201 Shikra is a fifth-generation, single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter jet. The aircraft was designed by a CSAT and Russian joint syndicate with the goal to build a highly agile and maneuverable air-superiority fighter. The To-201 also has ground attack capabilities, and is able to support various weapons configurations via its conventional pylons, but also its internal weapons bay.

It sports a 30MM cannon with 180 rounds, less than the Neophon, but is more agile and can have a Stealth variant, making it harder to detect on radar. The regular variant has 13 dynamic pylons, the Stealth variant 7 due to only using internal weapon bays. It's handling in close range dogfights and speed is superior to the Black Wasp, but with inferior avionics, meaning it must close the distance fast before the Wasp can take advantage of it's superior technology.

It's Stealth variant is also not as effective as the Wasp counterpart, having a smaller internal weapon bay for anti-air roles with both variants of the Shikra, despite having stealth capabilities, are still physically rather large aircraft. It has an active sensor range of 13KM against air targets and 9KM against ground targets, with 5KM against air and 3KM against ground on the passive sensors.

Y-32 Xi'an VTOL
By far the largest CSAT joint development project to date was long troubled by the conflicting requirements of the participating armies who demanded an aircraft with VTOL capabilities. The planned budget was vastly exceeded several times and development was years behind schedule. The program eventually became one of the most expensive in military procurement history and despite a great deal of information remains classified and is often compared to the older F-35 program. The final solution was based upon the most promising prototype designed in Xi'an which was able to meet most of the requirements with satisfactory results. High running and maintenance costs remains a huge issue that plagues the reputation of the otherwise extremely progressive aircraft with many unique features and top-notch bleeding-edge technologies.

A lighter VTOL than the Blackfish, the Y-32 is always armed with a 30MM autocannon and wings that can support 4 dynamic loadouts, by default carrying Skalpel ATGM's and unguided Skyfire rocket pods, meaning while not packing as much sheer firepower as the Blackfish Gunship it is much more versatile and easier to fly. It has transport and vehicle cargo variants, seating 16 passengers or small and some medium vehicles.

It is outfitted with an active radar with a range of 5KM against air targets and 4KM against ground targets, with 4KM passive sensor range. It is unique to Pacific (Chinese) CSAT forces, and is not used by regular CSAT by default.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
AR-2 'Darter' (Parrot SA AR Drone V2)
The AR-2 is a micro-drone that is purely for recon and support, as it lacks weapons except for a laser designator but has a really advanced passive sensor equipment suite that is able to track infantry and man sized targets, rather than only vehicles like most sensors. Like all UAV's it also has access to Night Vision and Thermal vision modes, making it a very useful scouting item that can also be collapsed into a man-portable backpack for transport or carried in vehicle cargos.

The Darter is also small enough that it is very difficult to detect at long range with anti-air sensor equipment, but is easily visible and can be engaged and destroyed easily by infantry and vehicles if it is spotted as it has zero protection of any kind- even a single round or collision will disable it. The Darter is rather quick and mobile, but can be difficult to control when not in Auto-hover mode.

AL-6 Utility Drone
This commercial off-the-shelf utility drone is flown by civilian and military (as the AL-6 line) organizations across the globe. Developed by the same manufacturer as the AR-2 series, this larger model uses 6 rotors to transport small payloads inside its external cargo case. Using this drone to deliver emergency medical supplies is rapidly gaining popularity in recent times.

The AL-6 is a cargo transport variant of the AR-2, and it shares much of the handling but lacks the sensor equipment and laser designator, having the cargo pod instead. A variant can drop customisable leaflets.

Demining Drone (Dutch Micro Air Vehicle)
Engineers of the International Development & Aid Project (IDAP) took a standard Utility Drone and modified it for highly effective mine clearance operations. This improvised drone uses a powerful sensor ring to detect mines as it flies low above the ground. It then releases one of its 4 demining charges from a higher altitude in order to safely detonate mines or other types of ordnance below.

The Demining Drone has a unique mine sensing radar with a 360 degree radius and a range of 50M, which it can use to detect mines and drop the EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) demining charges, which have a whistle and smoke trail to help others who aren't the UAV pilot find the mines.

MQ-12 Falcon (MQ-8B Fire Scout)
This autonomous/remotely controlled helicopter drone is mainly used as close air support and can be deployed in the most dangerous zones thanks to its unmanned construction. The Falcon is equipped with a laser designator and can therefore handle surveillance, reconnaissance and target designation tasks. Its greatest strength, however, lies in its armament. It carries two rocket pods, each with 12 unguided rockets and six Scalpel air-to-ground missiles. The MQ-12 Falcon can also use countermeasures for self-defense.

It has 4 dynamic loadout slots and has Stealth capabilities, but is not armoured and can be destroyed even by rifle fire, despite it being larger than most UAV's.

MQ-4 Greyhawk / K40 Ababil-3 (MQ-9 Reaper)
The Greyhawk is the most common armed UAV in the game and is used mostly in combat roles rather than purely recon like the AR-2. It is a fixed wing design with two dynamic loadout slots, giving it a wide range of weapon options but by default is equipped with either anti-tank missiles (different missiles depending on variant/faction) or laser guided bombs, for which is has an inbuilt laser designator.

As a medium UAV and being fixed wing, it needs a sizeable runway to take off, but can also carry heavier weapon loads than other UAV's and has a larger fuel tank, meaning it can idle over a target area for longer compared to other aircraft.

KH-3A Fenghuang (Chinese CH-3A)
The KH-3A Fenghuang is an unmanned aerial drone based on Chinese design. The UAV adopts the unusual canard layout and is propelled by a pusher engine. This multipurpose drone is equipped with modern tracking and tracing systems, countermeasures and also carries four air-to-ground laser guided missiles.

Compared to it's counterpart, the MQ-4, the Fenghuang can use shorter runways and is stealthier due to it's smaller size but has a limited armament of only 4 Jian Anti-tank guided missiles, with no dynamic loadout support.

UCAV Sentinel (Northrop Grumman X-47B)
The UCAV Sentinel is a fifth-generation, state of the line, twin-engine, all-weather tactical Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV). The Sentinel was designed primarily as a reconnaissance platform, but can also perform precision ground attacks. It typically operates from an aircraft carrier.

It is NATO operated and has two dynamic loadout slots able to mount ATGM's or laser guided bombs, for which is has it's own laser designator. It's the fastest and largest UAV among all factions and has a hook and folding wings to allow carrier operations.

Despite it's large physical size it is a stealthy UAV that can be particularly useful when travelling long distance to engage targets like enemy SPAAG or AA defences, for which it's very high altitude flying and high stealth can sneak inside the range of to engage safely. It has RWR and the active radar has 8KM range against air targets and 6KM against ground targets.
Unmanned Ground Vehicles
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and UGV's are used by a range of factions in the game, and can be either given AI remote commands via a faction specific UAV Tablet or directly controlled by the player themselves.

UGV Stomper (UGCV 'Crusher')
The Stomper is a remote controlled unmanned ground combat vehicle designed for reconnaissance, surveillance and support. It's able to operate autonomously in large areas, while sending real-time data to the control center. Each wheel is powered by a separate electric engine, whose batteries are linked together to a diesel engine power unit. In tight situations, Stompers can be operated by a built-in manual control. An armed variant of the Stomper is fitted with a RCWS turret carrying a 40mm GMG and 12.7mm HMG. An OPFOR variant, designated Saif and Saif RCWS, is a cheaper and less reliable copy from the Asian region.

Stomper's are the larger UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) in Arma, and come in cargo transport and armed variants. Both have a single seat for transporting a soldier and are controlled by a side specific UAV tablet, like all UAV/UGV's. The unarmed variant can be used for easy unmanned resupply, while the armed variant can be used for combat support or unmanned scouting. Both variants are rather heavy with moderate speed and light armour protection.

ED-1 Mini UGV
ED-1 is a commercial off-the-shelf series of robotic systems built upon a man-portable modular platform. The tracked mini UGV has convenient front and rear obstacle climbers that allow it to traverse relatively complex terrain. Standard lithium-ion batteries power the electric propulsion, and are placed to facilitate so-called 'hot swaps' in the field.

Two primary uses in military remote operations are Explosive Ordnance Disposal and CBRN Defense. The former has an integrated mine detector and mounts a custom 12 gauge disruptor weapon on its swivel arm, intended to disable explosive devices. The latter is a literal driving laboratory, complete with a full suite of CBRN sensors, and a chemical compound sampling laser as well as telescopic biopsy probe on its arm.

A much smaller UGV, ED-1 is more of a support vehicle featured heavily during the First Contact campaign. It's rather slow, but is compact enough to be carried on the back by a single soldier and both variants have a raising arm for visibility. The armed variant has a shotgun, useful for clearing mines and explosive charges without risking a human defusing them, and it sports a landmine detection sensor with a range of 50M. The unarmed variant sports a sampling laser and probe as well as a camera, and is only useful for non-military roles.

Naval Vessels
Assault Boat (Zodiac CCRC Combat Rubber Raiding Craft)
An inflatable boat, often nicknamed 'rubber duck', is a lightweight boat constructed from tubes containing pressurized gas. Inflatables typically come in lengths between 2 to 7 meters. Due to their speed, weight and portability, inflatable boats are used in diverse roles such as lifeguard and rescue boats and even more often in the military as landing craft.

Assault Boats are very light, easy to transport and slingload small unarmoured watercraft that seat 5 men, fully exposed to fire. It has decent but not spectacular mobility, with it's best advantage other than weight being a very shallow draft, making it more useful closer to the coast and rivers as part of raids and infiltration.

RHIB
The rigid-hulled inflatable boat, (RHIB) is a light-weight but high-performance and high-capacity boat constructed with a solid, shaped hull and flexible tubes at the gunwale. The boat can fit 7 passengers and a driver. RHIB can be used for multiple tasks. It can be a simple transport boat with some countries deploying them for coast guarding. This is in contrast to criminals on Tanoa who use RHIBs as a fast and small smuggling boat.

The RHIB is useful as it's the fastest naval vehicle, equalling the speedboat but the RHIB has better handling. It also is slightly more durable than the Assault Boat. it's downsides are it's heavier weight compared to the Assault Boat means it's not as able to be air transported as well as having a more exposed driver.

SDV (SEAL Delivery Vehicle)
The SDV is a manned submersible vehicle used to transport teams of divers over long distances under water. Its construction is based on the SEALs Delivery Vehicle from the early 21st century, but the engine and maneuverability have been increased rapidly. Divers drive the SDV while exposed to water and breathing from the vehicle's compressed air supply or using their own SCUBA gear. The SDV can take up to four passengers, but can be operated by just one person. It also contains a small compartment to store additional equipment.

The SDV is unique in that it is the only mobile submarine in the game, and is outfitted with a thermal periscope and laser designator for scouting. The SDV is quite slow but with it's ability to submerge can be very difficult to detect, allowing infiltration and recon missions by diver teams to go undetected. The submarine is not water-tight, so crewmen must wear diving gear and respirators to submerge.

Speedboat (Raytheon SURC)
This V shaped boat with two powerful jet impellers excels in speed and maneuverability. It is used by both BLUFOR and OPFOR as a coastline guard boat and for special operations. The speedboat has a front-facing, remote controlled GMG turret. The OPFOR version is commonly equipped with a HMG in the rear, while BLUFOR speedboats are armed with a minigun.

The Speedboat is lightly armoured and heavily armed, sporting a 40MM automatic grenade machinegun as well as either a 12.7 HMG or a minigun on the rear of the vessel, making it more useful as a combat craft with good handling and a rather high speed, but it's open top makes it still exposed to weapons, particularly HE explosives, as well as the deeper draft making it more vulnerable to naval mines and beaching. It has a crew of 3 with 8 passengers.

USS Liberty (Arleigh Burke/Type 45 Destroyer)
The USS Liberty is one of several newly-built ships of its class. This powerful destroyer serves as part of "NATO Strike Group 14". It can carry troops, equipment and a helicopter on board allowing the battlegroup to perform its vital support roles. With a length of 155 meters and beam of 45 meters it can operate close to shore for rapid amphibious assaults.

Ingame it's primary function is to act as a small helicopter and naval vessel launching platform as well as an offshore naval fire support battery, sporting CIWS and AA missiles for aerial denial and a 76MM naval gun and massive Venator laser guided cruise missiles for land attacks.

USS Freedom (Gerald Ford Class nuclear aircraft carrier)
The USS Freedom is the second ship of its class. Carrying hull designation CVN-83, of the USS Gerald Ford Class, this nuclear-powered aircraft carrier can serve as a main operating base for NATO for mission makers and designers.

The USS Freedom can carry various aircraft and helicopters on board that can facilitate almost every support role. With a length of 337 meters and width of 105 meters, this is the largest ship ever built.

The carrier is configured to be carrying FA-181X Black Wasp fighter aircraft, UCAV's and a small compliment of helicopters. In addition it is also armed with a range of Phalanx CIWS, Mk 29 Guided Missile Launch Systems and Mk31 Guided Missile Launch Systems for protecting against air and naval attack by enemy forces.
Civilian Unique Vehicles
In addition to vehicles also used by the military or insurgents such as the Offroad, Truck, Van and Quadbike, there are also a range of unique civilian vehicles and variants.

Hatchback (Honda Civic)
A four-seat hatchback car mass-produced in the Far East to satisfy increasing demand for family cars. Economical operation, enhanced safety and a roomy trunk made these cars widely popular in the whole of Europe. Also comes in a sporty version.

A compact hatchback with impressive speed for it's size but terrible offroad handling and prone to damage, the Hatchback is a very common civilian vehicle. It has very low ride height, making it more likely to damage itself on rough terrain and giving the driver poorer visibility than a higher vehicle. There is also racing / Sport model with incredible top speed and acceleration due to an engine swap. Both variants seat 4.

Weakpoints

Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

SUV (BMW X6)
A full-size luxury crossover SUV, not particularly suitable for off-road but with good on-road ability. Its powerful engine and 4x4 contribute to the enjoyable rides in higher speeds. It is higher than the Hatchback, giving better visibility for the driver, while the 4x4 also aids it in offroad performance and the vehicle is all-around more durable than the hatchback but without the on-road speed potential and slightly larger size. It seats 4 people.

Weakpoints
Green = Unarmoured Body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank

Kart
The Kart is a small four-wheeled vehicle propelled by gravity, gas or electricity. This gas powered kart is used for recreational racing in outdoor or indoor amusement parks. It has 4-stroke engine offering up to 20 hp and should not be operated by drivers under 18 years old.

Initially intended as an April Fools joke, the Kart was added to the game as part of the Karts DLC along with a range of racetracks, a flare/starter pistol and racing themed props, with one million Czech koruna from the Arma 3 Karts DLC sales donated to the Czech Red Cross. It's a single seat vehicle with zero ride height, exceptional handling and rapid turning at high speeds but is prone to rollover in offroad driving and the driver is completely exposed.

Weakpoints
Green = Unarmoured Body
Orange = Engine
Violet = Fuel tank
