What buildings you need
Liquid Reservoir[oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com]
Liquid Shutoff[oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com]
Mechanized Airlock[oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com]
Filter Gate[oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com]
Buffer Gate[oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com]
Room full of chlorine ( i use a natural one )
Assembling
Please left the Liquid Shutoff input for the last
Every Liquid Reservoir is independent of each other.
You can build only one set if you want, i have 3 because of my high clean water needs.

Building settings
  • Set Filter Gate to 30s (Can be less, but i like to be safe)
  • Set Buffer Gate to 200s. This is the approximate time needed to clean the germs. Can be less depending on the amount of the germs. But to be safe just set it on max. At the first trial i even use double buffer gate to gain 400s delay (which is an overkill as all the 1.000.000 germs died before 200s)
  • Set Liquid Reservoir High Threshold on 99. A MUST.

After all of that, you can connect the liquid input to the shutoff

It works but way over made. A door under a tank. A shutoff and a filter gate are all you need. Well done but way too much to do a very simple job.

This is crazy over-complicated.
Пожалуй, что-то новенькое и интересное, благодарю)

Thanks, Bone White, now I understand :)

@feuerkobra, chlorine disinfects any container as long as that container is immersed in gas. this is why polluted oxygen around a refrigerator makes it spoil faster, and carbon dioxide around a refrigerator makes it a sterile environment.

How is the chlorine in the room desinfecting the water which is in pipes and reservoirs? Both don't get in contact in this set-up...

How to reply in this?

@timbo
Yes you can, you might also want to increase the chlorine pressure in the room

@vvv how you set it up? maybe you can give some screen shot?

@blue
Yes, you have to setup it exactly as the example, except for the building material

@hedgewood
you can't have sensor to detect germ inside the reservoir
only in pipe, and pipe doesn't being affected with chlorine room

but i see why you didn't use them
