Binds (Pure)

"I fear not the man who has practiced ten-thousand kicks once, but the man who has practiced one kick ten-thousand times."

In this guide, if you follow it to the letter, you will be able to perform any directional attack without having to rely on (240). I will also describe how to circumvent Mordhau's invert settings which will allow you to gain more control over your attacks. Thus, giving you the freedom to practice or successfully perform the most perfect accelerations and drags for whichever weapon you use.

• First things first:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Controls
- Disable every box

• Secondly:
- While still in Settings, go to Key Binds
- Unbind (LMB) from (Strike) and (Mwheel up) from (Stab)
- Rebind (LMB) to (Right to Left Strike) and (Right Stab) to (Mwheel up)

>The importance of disabling the default (Strike) and (Stab) is that they will invert your attacks based on the (240) system even if you have all invert settings disabled.

>All other attacks don't have any parent commands like Strike and Stab, so you'll have to bind them as you see fit.

>I personally have (LMB) set to (Right to Left Strike), (Mwheel Up) to [Right Stab], (MB4) to (Left to Right Strike), (MWheel Down) to (Right Upper Strike), and (MB5) to (Left Lower Strike). Through these combinations, as well as binding (ALT) to (Flip Attack Side), I am able to use all morph patterns and decide which attack to use at all times without (240) or (Inverters) messing with anything. Hope this can help you.

Sincerely, 3000 hours of games like this and 8 years of experience.
Now 4k hours after 2 years
BUGS
The (Flip Attack Side) command, if bound to either (L. Alt) or (R. Alt), can be stuck if you alt+tab in and out of Mordhau. To fix, simply press the key again once in game to unlock the command.

It means you're choosing that specific direction of attack to be bound to that key - so that whenever you press it, it always does that specific direction of that specific attack unless you decide to combo by pressing the key again, in which the direction will flip only in that instance

Hi when you said:

Rebind (LMB) to (Right to Left Strike) and (Right Stab) to (Mwheel up)

does the right to left strike mean we choose both left and right strike/Pick whichever one we want or choose just right strike?

@Gallant Steel - You have to hold the key you have bound for flip attack sides, then all mapped keys are flipped to their inverse faces. Upon release, all mapped keys return to their original fixed position.

How does the flip attack side work anyway? I press it and nothing happens. I'm not seeing anything on youtube about it too

@Horsemeat - I didn't know [ Strike ] was a thing and when I was organizing my guide to make certain things "pop" out or easier to identify... I ended up putting those lines in by mistake.

Why is it all crossed out? No longer relevant?
