Disclaimer
This guide is intended to be a quick clarification and a bit of direction of how to get the achievements based off the description provided by the developers. In that, it is mostly spoiler-free; the idea is to help you hit 100% on a single playthrough without giving it all away for free.

The game runs on an autosave so you have to be careful not to miss something before advancing the story.
Note
This game will use the date and time on your computer to determine what stage the moon will be when you play the game. You may find yourself unable to do some achievements (i.e.: find the bear) if you are playing on a day that is a full or new moon (called Full Bright or Full Dark in the game). If that happens, you will just have to wait a day or two to play the game.* I would suggest not playing at all if it is a new or full moon in real life, because you may accidentally miss an achievement.

Here is a site with moonstages:
http://www.moonconnection.com/moon_phases_calendar.phtml

*You could also change the date and time on your system, but that will VOID the #honest achievement.
Achievements
Note: The achievements don't "pop" in this game until you return to the title screen. You can either chose to quit to title screen to get them, or wait until the conclusion of a session where the game automatically brings you to the title screen... and then any achievements you earned will "pop."

We Got the Megatome
Retrieve the burdensome book of sinister sworcery from the darkness beneath Mingi Taw.
This is a story progression achievement.

The Mushroom Kingdom
Experience the strange insight offered by a divinatory mushroom.
Eat a Mushroom. They are on almost every screen. They restore your health, and also provide clues to sprite-puzzles.

Monster Hunter
Find & somehow slay at least 7 lagomorphs, you jerk.
Once you have the ability to enter Sworcery mode, enter it and then click and hold on any of the rabbits you may see in the game (there are A LOT of them in the dream world) and boom it blows up. Once you do it 7 times, an in game message will tell you that you have killed 7 rabbits, but the achievement won't "pop" until you return to the title screen.

The Ballad of the Space Babies
Summon a slumbering sylvan sprite & send it skyward.
This is a story progression achievement.

The Gold Trigon
Tame the cosmic geometry of The Gold Trigon in a sunlit meadow where angry bird sculptures loom.
This is a story progression achievement.

The Grizzled Boor
Feel free to take this opportunity to secretly self-identify as a principled, loving individual or a violent psychopath.
Go to the dreamworld on any moonstage that isn't Full Bright or Full Dark and you should see a dancing bear. Follow him to the screen with the big tree and open the tree with Sworcery and fight the bear and get the Moon Grotto Key.

The Moon Grotto
Use the Grizzled Boor's key to open the locked door to you-know-where.
Find the Moon Grotto. You can use this place to change the moon stage in the game. It only lasts for one trip into the dreamworld, then the moon goes back to "normal" and you must set it again.

It has been said that something lurks within the White Stag of Scythia, wherever/whenever/whatever that might be.
This one is hard to find. Eat a mushroom, jump into the well at Logfella's house in the dreamworld during a Full Dark moon. Find your way to a statue of a Stag and bash it open.

The Dark Moon Trigon
Despite everything, tame the Dark Moon Trigon in a rain-soaked forest during a storm of thunder & lightning.
This is a story progression achievement.

The Bright Moon Trigon
Be awesome, get the Bright Moon Trigon from beneath an impossible island in the centre of a placid lake.
This is a story progression achievement.

Assemble the Trigon Trifecta
Complete the three trigons in The Dark Moon Rock Show.
This is a story progression achievement.

Now We Are Cosmic Friends Forever
Upload the Megatome at the summit of Mingi Taw & complete the Scythian's woeful errand.
This is a story progression achievement.

#honest
Complete the Scythian's woeful errand without cheating.
Don't change the date/time on your computer while playing.

Cheating Cheater
Adjust your computer's date/time settings to access other moon phases & thus feel profound shame.
You will probably want to get this last, by either loading the last save or playing through again while cheating. You must change the date while the game is running. If you get this on your first playthrough, you will have to play again for #honest.

More than one year later but using the Logfella's cave to change the Moon Phase doesn't trigger the Cheating Cheater achievement. Only changing the date does this. You can use the cave, then finish the game and the #Honest achievement will pop.

Can you avoid popping Cheating Cheater by using Moon Grove to change Moon phase. I want to get #Honest first then do Cheating Cheater.

Something to note about the "Grizzled Boor" achievement, if you have opened the tree to get the Dark Moon Trigon BEFORE going for this achievement you will miss it. The Boor has to go inside the the tree while it is not fully opened to be able to fight him. There is actually a brief cutscene of him going inside the tree when you reach it, but if you have already opened the tree you wont see that cutscene and will not get that achievement.

To get Cheating Cheater to work, try setting the date back while in the game. You should only have to go back to the menu to get the achievement.

I don't completely remember all possible details anymore. It has been over a year since I played this now and other games I have played have replaced the details in my memory.

I think I replayed just the last chapter to get it because I created copies of my save games (in my computer's folders) at each chapter. That is something I always do with games that use an autosave because it usually saves me time/grief at some point.

But, as I recall, some other people reported they just played the very last section of the game on the autosave and were able to get it. However, if that doesn't work, you may have to replay the game to get it, but it goes fast if you are cheating so it isn't that bad.

Can't get the cheating achievement. Can you tell me how you got it in all possible details?

Yeah, you are probably going to have to start over to get it, unfortunantly.

I added a note to the guide to clarify that you shouldn't start playing the game if its a New or Full moon in real life, as it can prevent the bear from appearing and you can wind up progressing too far.

The tree remains split, I can walk into it, but it's not a seperate room like it's supposed to be, and it's empty.

It's worth noting that other aspects of the dreamworld DID change with the change in moon phase, everything is much brighter now, and there are more animals I think. But the tree remains broken and there is no way to trigger the boor fight
Murphy's Lawyer  [author] Dec 27, 2014 @ 7:48pm
You are unable to enter the tree and fight him?
