Introduction
So, Have A Lot Of You Failed To Sell/Buy Items In Trade Servers And Are Looking For Somewhere To Sell/Buy TF2 Items? Well Look No Further! I Am Here To Help!

The main page of TF2 Outpost displays the most recently proposed trades. Users are able to propose their own trades by selecting items from their inventory, and then selecting items that they wish to receive in return from a list of items currently available in the game. Users are able to then customize their trade with a message, detailing specific notes about their trade, such as item quirks or specific requests. Once posted, other users may view and offer on the trade proposal from the main page. Offers and other responses can be ignored by the trade creator, or responded to directly.

As is the policy with most trading websites, trades consisting of in-items for Steam games must be performed via Steam Trading. Trades consisting of in-game items for real-world currency are permitted, but are to be performed at the users own risk.
TF2 Outpost features a search engine, allowing users to search for specific trade requests.

The Rules!
Main Rules

1. No Spamming This rule applies to both trade notes and offers, where spam is considered:
  • Excessive Posting Posting the same thing multiple times on the same trade.
  • Linking To Other Websites Posting links to unrelated websites in offers (backpacks and Steam profiles are acceptable).
  • Rudeness Derogatory statements made regarding the value of the trade or listed prices.

2. No Insults We do not tolerate any kind of abusive language or general rude attitude towards any users.

3. No Trade Highjacking This refers to the practice of a user posting on another user's trade and replying to their offer saying "I'll do this". It's considered rude and you will be punished for doing so.

4. No Advertising We do not allow users to advertise any other services or websites. You may, however, post links to other trades on this website, as well as links to relevant YouTube videos or related images.

5. No Private Profiles Or Backpacks You will be subject to a permanent ban until you make your profile and backpack public again. This includes both your game-specific and Steam inventories.

6. No Sharking Sharking is defined as manipulating another user into trading/selling a valuable item for 10% or less of its accepted value (or 20% or less for users with less than 200 hours in that game) or any other deceptive trading practice that the staff consider to be against the spirit of this rule. We participate in a network of trading sites that do not tolerate taking advantage of other users for personal gain.

Report System Rules

We created the report system to help users notify our staff when there are users violating the rules so that we can take appropriate action. However, it's not to be used for everything, as outlined below.

1. You Should...
  • Report trades and offers that are breaking the rules.
  • Make your report clear and provide as much proof and information as possible.

2. But You Should Not...
  • Report offers or trades that display prices you believe to be too high or too low (eg. "lowballs" or "highballs").
  • Report unnecessarily. If the problem is minor and can easily be resolved by hiding the post, do just that. If the problem persists, feel free to report it.
  • Mistake the 'Post Reply' field for the 'Report' button. Yes, it happens.
  • Report people for scamming via the report system.
  • Use the report function to threaten other users.

Trade Rules

1. Please Do Not Make Trades With...
  • Anything that breaks Steam's, or any third parties' TOS, including account trading.
  • Raffles, paid or free.
  • Brokered items from banned users.
  • CD keys, game keys, gift codes, etc.
  • Irrelevant pictures attached or in notes.
  • Links to third-party websites, apart from relevant YouTube or image hosting websites.

2. No Bragging Don't create trades unless you're actually going to trade the items.
  • Side note: If you have a trade selling keys or some form of currency, and have run out of stock, please turn off autobumping for that trade. When you have stock, you can toggle it back on. This helps to keep the website clean of old and invalid trades allowing our users to trade much more efficiently.

3. No Misleading Trades If you're looking to trade 1.33 refined for some hat, please don't put 2 refined up on the left hand side. It's the same as false advertising in the commercial world and is frowned upon. If we see these trades, we'll close them.

4. No Relists Relisting is creating multiple trades for the same purpose or listing the same item in multiple trades excessively. You cannot have multiple trades open with the same goal, and you cannot have an excessive number of trades open for the same item.

5. No Autobumping Scripts Purchasing a premium subscription is the only way to legitimately have autobumps. Any user caught using an autobump script will be permanently banned.

6. No Trades That Aren't Trades This rule includes any form of donations, services, asking for crates to unbox, troll trades, building up one weapon to an unusual, raffles, etc.

7. No Fake Current Offers This is deemed a serious offence if you create multiple accounts and/or manipulate friends into posting fake offers. In addition to a permanent ban on our site, you will receive a scammer tag on SteamRep.

8. If you're trading for real-world money, you may use the following services: Paypal, WebMoney and Bitcoins. Remember, trading for money is always risky and there is always a possibility of getting scammed. As this is an at-your-own-risk service, we take no responsibility or liability for these types of trades.

Note: Most rules are common sense and it would therefore be impossible to list all the things you could do to get yourself banned. This page is not acting as a complete list of bannable offenses — it instead aims to clear up some confusion about those rules that may not be obvious. All moderators and admins have the power to close trades as they see fit (with reason, of course). No ranks exempt you from the site rules. Users with premium status will not be refunded any duration of time lost if banned. Permanent bans will result in permanent revocation of premium status.

HTML Formatting Tutorial
Ok so now, I will FINALLY teach you how to do it.

Firstly, go to any of the trades you which edit the text

Make Sure To Remove The Full Stops That I Have Used To Be Able To Show The Code!

Bold Text -> Made by simply having [b.] enter your text to make bold [/b.] (Used for titles or/and important info!)
Underline -> Made by having[u.] enter your text to make underlined [/u.] (Used for titles or/and important info!)
Italics -> Made by using[i.] enter your text to make italics [/i.](Used for quotes!)
Strike-through -> Made by simply using[s.] enter your text to strike-through [/s.](Used for crossing out info and/or crossing out old prices to show a sale!)

Color

Color codes is confusing at first, but there are websites out there, such as html-color-codes.info, which can have pre-made any color you want! But first we need to know how to use these colors!
The BB-code for color is: [.color=.] followed by [/color.]
Now we have the layout, after the = sign, you can add your color code. Click any color you see, and under the grid it will show the color code ready to be copy & pasted; paste this after the = sign.
You should have a code looking like this [.color=#FF0000.] The text inside to color, in this case red [/color.]
Screenshots?
You may ask why do I need screenshots? Well using screenshots is essential for high tier trades, such as unusual trades, when selling; it is always in your interest to show what you are selling at it's best!
Taking high quality screenshots of your item is generally completed in two ways.

    In-Game
  • The easiest way of showing off your item!
  • Built into steam already!
  • By moving the camera angle, and placing your character facing a wall, you can create close ups!
  • No need for a image hoster!
  • Lacks customizability!
  • Limited in terms of graphics and editing!
  • Examples
    Loadout
    Posing

    SFM
  • Better photo's (Opinion based)
  • Involves downloading SFM (Source-Film-Maker)
  • Altered picture from in-game
  • Hard to learn
  • Requires use of a Image Hoster ( etc. Imgur.com)
  • It is absolutely customizable, from the miscs to the direct position of the character!
  • Example
    SFM[i.imgur.com]
What Now?
You can now use your newly trained skills to wow the world of trades, stand out from the crowd with your own bright colors!
A good practice is to copy your 'trade format' so you don't need to rewrite your HTML-Code every time you create a new trade, just post in your old one and edit the info!
