Not Receiving Items from Linked Accounts? Here's a Fix!
By josh!
Have you had trouble receiving items from other accounts on Steam, even after linking them? Then you've found yourself in the right place. Here's the method I used to fix this issue.

Introduction
Have you already linked multiple of your RL accounts but haven't gotten items to transfer to and from them? In this guide I will show you a fix.

For the sake of this guide, I will assume you have already linked your accounts prior to reading this, but you still haven't received your items on all accounts. If you haven't yet linked your accounts, please do so over at https://www.rocketleague.com/activate/.

You'll need to still have access to any older consoles that you used to play Rocket League on, as well as the accounts you used. You also need to still own a copy of RL on that device and have it downloaded and ready to play.

Have all of the above? Let's get started!
The Fix
Alright, here's the fix. It might not work for everyone, since some of you will have a different problem related to account linking, but in this scenario it has worked for both me and my friends.

1

First, you need to identify your primary and non-primary accounts. On https://www.rocketleague.com/activate/, you should have already chosen a primary account when you linked them. If you haven't, set the one you will be/have been playing the most on, as it will be the one that tracks account progression such as ranks and levels. However, items are universal between all your accounts, so you don't have to worry about that. Just make a mental note of which account is your primary.

2

Before continuing to this step, be sure to log into your primary account and open up the game at least once. My primary account was on Steam, so I launched RL on Steam, and my items were missing.

Then, log into your non-primary accounts. Before you load into those versions, make sure they are up to date and are linked to your primary account. Also, make sure you're connected to the internet. For me, I wanted to get my PS4 items on my primary account, Steam, so I updated and launched Rocket League PS4. Once you load in, you should receive the bonuses for playing the game before the F2P update, including the boost and the Est. title. Check to see if you have your primary account's items on this account. If you do, then it should be working as intended. Once your done there, close RL on your non-primary account.

3

Repeat step two for any other accounts you have. I played RL on both PS4 and XB1 prior to getting it on Steam, so now I had to repeat what I did in step two for Xbox. When done, head over to step four.

4

Now, after logging into all your non-primary accounts, head back into your primary account. Since this was Steam for me, I opened up Rocket League on Steam and found that all my items from XB1 and PS4 had carried over to Steam.

If this didn't work for you it's likely that you had another problem, like linking your account to the wrong Epic Games account, or failing to link accounts altogether.

Hope this helps!
TL;DR and Conclusion
Here's a shorter version of the guide in which I go into less detail:

First, make sure all your accounts are linked. Start by identifying which one of your accounts is your primary. Then, update and log into all your non-primary accounts at least once by launching the game on their respective platforms. Close those non-primary games and log back into your primary account. You should now see all of your non-primary account's items on your main account.

Thanks for viewing this guide! If it helped you in any way consider sharing it around to help others in a similar scenario. If you have any questions, leave a comment down below, and I'll try my best to help you out.

EDIT: If you ask a question in the comments be sure to subscribe to this thread so you can see my reply. I'm not a developer or a bug fixing genius by any means but I've ran into my fair share of problems since the F2P update that might also be similar to yours, and I'd be glad to share any info I might have.

@Insignia Any items that you have purchased or received through a paid method like crates are trade locked over cross-platform. You should still be able to trade them on the platform you originally got it on.

@ItsJason567 Licensed DLC like the Skyline won't transfer over, but I've heard somewhere that Psyonix is working on a way for them to transfer. Any other items you own should transfer over though.

If I link accounts does the skyline transfer to steam?

@ReDoNe TRADE Are you sure your levels were reset? Check your profile's stats in-game and your account level should show listed there. The number below your name that used to show your level now shows Rocket Pass progression instead.
