The Hunter

Description
This Mod adds a new job (with its own gameplay features & mechanics) to the game: The Hunter.

An evolution of the Trapper, the Hunter can prove itself a valuable member of your community by providing resources from big game much more easily, rare resources from alligators or even Zillas without combat, and a much greater efficiency than regular trapping when skilled enough to unlock their automation abilities and their companion - which provides them with the amazing trait of being able to automatically teleport animal loot into your storage.

Contents
The Hunter Job
A skilled tracker and adept bowman, the Hunter is not a soldier but will do a really good job taking down neutral wildlife and even some predators - if the opportunity arises.

Tracking Wild Game
Similarly to the Northern Alliance, Hunters will unlock a series of game events that will provide you with constant animal spawns, making sure you never run out of prey!

Camps & Poaching
The Hunter will unlock several interesting abilities like Hunting Camps - that can automate the assignment of animals to hunt - or poaching opportunities, that allow your Hunter to go into a trip outside of your town's territory for greater rewards or even legendary prey.

Dog Companion
They can get a Hunting Dog on Level 6! Both cute and dangerous, their new friend will help them hunt and will also allow them to automatically transport the animal loot to hunting camps.

Compatibility
The Hunter has no special requirements.

It has cross-functionality with the following mods:

- Stonehearth ACE : ACE hunting resources are added to hunts; ACE resources added to some recipes. Fully compatible with ACE monkey patches.
- Trapper+ : Fully compatible with Trapper+ raw meats and fresh pelts. If using Trapper+, the Hunter's Bow will be crafted by the Trapper and not the Carpenter.

This mod is also compatible to any mods that doesn't override or alter the following controllers:
- combat_service.lua
- loot_drops_component.lua
- dispatch_quest_encounter.lua
- donation_dialog_encounter.lua

Finally, the mod is adapted to work with ACE's changes to these files.

Localization
This mod is completely compatible with Stonehearth's localization, it is in English (en) by default.

When the defenders kill most enemies the loot dropped is not marked for auto loot or seen as visible to crafters.

Hi Dani; I have been having issues with the auto loot setting while this mod is active. Is this a incompatibility or part of the mod?

@DaniAngione, thank you so much for the quick response. On my next game i'll try the mod again. Then i'll make some tests and collect the ingame UI errors and the file.log for you. I believe you are "Dani, Master Yolomancer". If correct, i'll send to you the information as i'm in ACE discord community.

One problem that i encounter is that sometimes, on the modlist ingame, the UI on the mod appears flickering by displaying a rectangular green shape like a HP bar. Felt strange.

I've released a small update to fix some issues with the loot drops component in ACE but it might require you to demote and repromote a hunter

I'm getting errors when loading a saved game.

This mod may have caused some bugs in loot determination, I can't manage my battle gains using auto loot in settings, hope you can do something about it.:steammocking:

hello again can we potentially get hunters working with the goblins of the firefly faction? due to how this mod works i can not hunt large animals without a hunter and they don't really have a presence in the faction (thus preventing any sort of hunting of large game other than the trapper)
