Description
The citizens of Refuge have fled to this inhospitable region of the world to escape from many things. Whether it's oppression from the Holy Nation, or slavery in the United Cities, or just life in general, this town welcomes them. There are many dangers outside of town to contend with however, so people should not go too far from the gates alone if they want to survive. Several other adventurous folk can be found inside the bar and wandering around town just looking for someone to join up with so they can do something other than be bored.

This mod adds 1 new town (so far, more are planned) and a new faction called Refugees. It also has 6 unique recruits (more planned for the future) and lots of lines of custom dialogue, with more on the way. It also adds a new start so you can start out in Refuge. It's just a copy of the wanderer start but you're in Refuge instead of the Hub. And there is currently one set of new armor (using vanilla art assets for now because I suck at 3d modeling, contributions to that are welcome) and a new map item that reveals all the major towns on the map, including Refuge. More gear and weapons and other stuff are planned and on the way.

Known issues:

- Town guards don't really do anything to help the citizens when they call for help if the player trespasses in their homes. I'm still working on figuring that out.

- Sometimes the unique recruits give the dialogue they are supposed to give to people they have already met, even if you haven't spoken to them before. My knowledge of the dialogue system is limited but I'm working on that too.

This is an early release, with a lot more plans for the future. I'm not going to just upload and forget this mod. So if you see any problems that aren't mentioned in the known issues section please report them. And if you know how to fix them please let me know. Also, if you have any ideas for new features just say something in the comments below. I am active and willing to add things in that weren't in my plans.

you can build an impregnable city without crooked walls anywhere in the world, including in the sea using primitive terraforming.

In that case, yeah it's the same as any other faction. It's a lot smaller than any of the others though so it may take a lot longer to get enough good will with them but it is possible just like it is with any other faction. Not counting those who are always aggro to you of course.

the mod is good even if small, but i find the special recruits too OP, i feel they should atleast ask for a hefty amount of cats, or have their stats reduced to a quarter of the normal ammount <->

Update to version 6 fixes some small errors.

- Town gate now defaults to open
- Town residents no longer sell their homes.

Updated to Version 5 to address some issues that were brought up by one of the users of this mod.

- Changed town guard and gate guard composition to include Samurai guards who fled from the United Cities.
- Added bowman guards to the gate guard composition.
- Changed all the paladin guards to 100% male because they fled from the Holy Nation who wouldn't allow a female to be a paladin.
- Reduced the amount of money in each shop from 50,000 cats to 25,000 cats because a refugee city shouldn't be richer than all of the major faction cities.

Updated to Version 4.

-Added a new recruitable character named Hello. He is a hive soldier drone who seems to only say Hello and Yes at first, but he warms up to you and starts talking more after you recruit him. More custom dialogue for him will be added later. But for now his only custom dialogue is the recruitment dialogue. He has 4 skeleton limbs. This will be the last new unique recruit added for a while. I've gotta do the dialogue work before I think about adding any more new characters.
