I'm actually trying to make a fangan of my own, and I wanted to know if it would be okay to have a similar trial system to yours. I think your spaghetti code is a lot better than the pastastrophe mine is lol
I don't think I've seen any other DR RPGs on the workshop.
Here's my take on the game in it's current state:
-Neat reference to the Super High School Level.
-No sound effect when talking to people or interracting with stuff which feels a bit too silent for a DR game.
-Every time you open the menu, the name of the song in the top right corner comes back.
-The sprite which is clearly a hammer on the sign is an Axe?
-Male junko has long hair on his sprite while his CG has short hair.
also he's stuck in walking animation after you talk to him and he starts turning towards you.
-Same for Hod who has long hair on he CG while having visible short hair similar to Chihiro on the map.
-You should highlight points of intrests with sparks or something that would tell the player where
to look rather than trying to talk to every item in the scenery and maybe have a visual cue that NPCs can be talked to multiple times.
-When inspecting the piece of wood, someone named "Arisa" says "A plankie" yet no one in the room or party is named "Arisa" was this a cut character?
-Nice Demoman reference but lacks a Capital "Y" in "You are very capable" (yup grammar Nazi I know).
-I get you mainly did this for fun and to try the debate system but why not use the more "modern" tileset which is available with the base assets?
Especially since the entire thing happens in 1 map so it isn't even that long to design a single room.
Overall I enjoyed the game and I hope you keep on adding more stuff.
Hopefully my critique will help in the devellopement of this game.
