Description
An evil human/semihuman/whatever you want it to be - species mod, heavily inspired by the Terran Khanate from Masters of Orion.

I made it because I couldn't find any evil looking humanoid mod that suited my taste.
I'm not smart enough to come up with a proper story though, so I just named them after what they look like. D:

It is standalone (has a seperate phenotype) to avoid incompatibilities and also comes with a custom city set.

All of them wear enviromental masks/gas masks, and no, this is not a statement regarding COVID-19 or any political stuff.

Credits also go to those who made the awesome mods that provided me with the assets I've used to create this.

Majestro Ratzfatz-GER for his Morjan Race mod
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=775589321&searchtext=morjan
- used the initial ini files as base and the body textures.

Dear Leader Prezydent Duda for his Better Human Portraits
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748196512&searchtext=humans
-used a couple of clothes and edited them to a great degree.

Deadrick for his Remastered Human Portraits Expanded
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1637002910&searchtext=human+remastered
-used a few hairstyles.

Ketaro for his clothing pack
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1897941371&searchtext=Ketaro
-used the clothes (obviously).

Meltup for his City Collection
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=906953618&searchtext=pristine
-used one of them and recoloured it.

Rederp (and probably all the others who ported it back to idk who initially released it) for Human Revolution
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1649412843&searchtext=human+revolution
-used the enviromental masks.

And now, main, kill, burn and have fun! ^_^

Placing them into the humanoids tab/making them playable for the AI

Ok, I've found a quick and dirty workaround which (mostly) works.

1, Go to the mod directory. Should be D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2228244908\gfx\portraits\portraits if you're on windows.
2. Open the .txt file (08 evil portraits or smth like that)
3. On line 54 (using on Notepad++) replace xevil with human and save
4. The portraits will now overwrite (mostly) one of the default human ones in the "Human" category

I've found that this 75% works? Some stock portraits slip through but most of them should be the EvilxHumans ones. Lemme know if this works for anyone else.

Hey bro this mod is broken, does not work anymore. The way portrait categories are defined has been changed in the new update. can you please fix when you get the chance? Thanks bigly

Well, other than changing the humanoid versions slot to something else and by doing so making it replace other portraits, vanilla or added by mods, there isn't that much that I could do about it.

Yeah, but the problem is the humanoid version replaces the original human portraits, which is not good.

The reason for this happening is that I put them under it's own phenotype.
I also managed to make them playable for the AI, but for that you'd have to use the humanoid version here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2235507833

Using this mod would resolve this issue and put the portraits under the humanoid phenotype.
It can, however, conflict with other mods that add portraits into the humanoids category, because then they occupy a certain slot, that, if you install another mod that adds humanoid portraits on the same slot, will get overwritten, or vice versa depending on your load order.

For some reason an ai empire set to always spawn with this species selected never appears in the game. Could it be fixed ?

Oh, I see! I thought the launcher called it incompatible because of a specific issue. I guess if there aren't, there are no need to update! Thank you very much!

Of course, if it needs an update, I'll update it.
If there is an incompatibility issue with the current version of the game, could you briefly describe it to me?
That'd be nice, because then I would know exactly which errors I would have to fix.
I just tried it out and couldn't find any errors myself. D:

If it is only about the version of the mod, then I can reassure you that it works the same as it did before the update.

The Paradox Launcher sees the mod as incompatible solely because I uploaded it in a previous game version and don't keep downloading and re-uploading it after every update without making any changes to it.
