Gun Preference
In this gamemode, you have access to every weapon inside of the CS:GO buy menu. However, specific weapons are much more useful than others.

Primary Weapon Recommendations:

SMGs: Most players prefer to use SMGs because of their large ammo capacity, simple spray pattern, and better movement speed and fast reload

Bizon - It has the highest base ammo capacity, fairly quick reload, and fast movement speed equipped. This is the gun most players should use and is considered the standard for SMGs in ZE.

P90 - The P90 is considered an alternative SMG that many players prefer over the bizon. It boasts the greatest rate of fire of all guns(tied with the MP9) but has a slower reload and movement speed compared to the bizon, which can adversely affect players trying to retreat or in tight situations.

MP9 - The MP9 is mostly used to shred bosses. It has the greatest fire rate (tied with the P90) and a high movement speed and reload. However, the MP9 also has a low ammo capacity of 30, as well as bad spread .

LMGs: Alternatively, players can also use heavy weaponry. These guns are typically used on static holds and defenses.

Negev - Typically useless in a normal competitive match, the suppressive nature of the Negev becomes the key to static holds and defenses. The negev has 150 bullets, fast fire, and no spread when fired continuously. However, the lack of movement and reload speed while holding the negev forces players to rely on secondaries when moving or retreating

M249 - This is basically a poor man’s Negev. It has less ammo (100 vs 150) and is less accurate, but also has a long reload and slow movement speed. However, unlike the negev, it can still be used while moving and can also be tap fired and burst fired.

Miscellaneous: Weapons that are used for niche circumstances
Auto Snipers - Used mostly by people who like to stay far away from zombies. While they are not nearly as useful in a defense as SMGS or LMGs, they are able to shoot from range and have a scope.

Sniper Rifles - Some servers have these weapons restricted. Used at long range to shoot single zombies back from long distances. Only worthwhile if you can hit your headshots on moving targets.

AR’s - Assault rifles are typically only used as a meme. They do not provide enough single shot damage to effectively shoot zombies back like an awp. However, their relatively low ammo capacity, large recoil, and slow movement speed means that they cannot be fired on the move.

Shotguns - Their usefulness varies from server to server, as each server has different settings for how much a shotgun knocks zombies back.

Secondary Weapon Recommendations:
Dual berettas - Most players use this gun for its large ammo capacity and fast fire rate. However, it has a long reload.

Tec-9/Five-Seven - It has a good fire rate, and has a faster reload compared to the Dual Berettas. However, both of these guns sacrifice ammo capacity.

Deagle - meme used to dink some heads.

Binds
Binds are an essential part of the zombie escape gamemode using these will reduce the amount of time wasted typing commands to rebuy your weapons.

Bind “key” “sm_weapon/utility” in console - Will purchase your requested weapon
Example of weapons/utilities that can be bought
-“Negev” (Best for static holds. Also good for headshots.)
-“Bizon” (Best to backpedal/strafe shooting.)
-“MP9” (Best weapon to burst boss).
-“Kevlar” (Armor)
-“he” (Best for slowing a horde of zombies) (ALWAYS use it when you know you can’t out run zombies.)
Commands
!bhud - shows a maps boss hud (Percent of health left)
!guns - Brings up a menu that sets your preferences for gun choices. TIP: you can select a primary and secondary and have it be your main guns for every round!
!hide - hides fellow players, this helps if you are dealing with frame issues or you cannot see.
!sm {player} -Self mutes a player
!su {player}- Self unmutes a player
!stuck - Is a command to help you get out of situations where you are stuck in the map or props.
!music - modifies map music
!nominate {map name} - nominate a map to be played next
!noshake - removes map shake from your player view

Lingo
Terms used by the zombie escape community. It would be good to learn a few of these so you know what they are trying to say.
Trim - When a portion of the human (counter terrorist) team dies and is respawned as zombies (terrorists).
Trigger - Triggering means to go to a certain part of the map to push a lever/button or to touch a wall and or door which would start a timer to get to the next part of the map.
Back Pedaling - Refer to “Back Pedaling” in the “movement” section.
Edging - Edging basically means when you are either too close to the zombies or you are on the edge of an object where they can easily infect you

more lingo to come!
Leaders
Leaders are a crucial part of zombie escape. This person(s) will be your only guidance for the duration of the map, so please give your attention to him. He is the one with the knowledge of the map, the boss moves, and determines when to defend and retreat. Now keep in mind that this person is VERY important for boss fights, he will inform you on how to avoid attacks that can hit/kill you.
As a leader, you are given a tool to help you in directing the team. The command is: !leader or /leader. This will bring up a table which can help you to lead and communicate with the team. For example you can place down a “Defend Here” marker or you can have a sign above your head that says “Follow me”.
Movement
There are many different situations where you need to use different types of movement to get away from zombies, such as surfing, bhopping, and backpedaling.
Backpedaling - Backpedaling is when you need to defend while walking backwards to get to the next defense/hold of a map.
Surfing - Surfing is when you slide up, down, left, or right on a map, you should never hold W while surfing and should usually get a jump start on a ramp for more speed. Here is an in depth tutorial to make surfing more simple:
TIPS: You can shoot a zombie to completely stop their momentum on surf ramps.
Bhopping - Bhopping is the act of using the sideway momentum to add to the speed that you already build up when holding w. To successfully perform a bhop, during full speed moving forward, you jump, then look to the left and press a. And then you look right and press d. Here is a demonstration how to do so
TIPS: If a zombie is bhopping, try to shoot them in the head to stop and push them back effectively!
