Roshar Map

@Faustupia This map is for 10 players - felt a good number for Roshar map. Currently I'm not planning anything bigger, but maybe in the future... :)

Hi @pether.pg , do you have any plans to make this map in a bigger size? What is the size of this one currently?

There are also two other Roshar maps for CIV 6, which is interesting. I'm not going to copy paste what I said here on the other mods though.

Yeah, I am super aware that I simply cannot do exact Roshar world in civ6 since all fauna and flora is very, very different there, not to say about spren, storms, unmade, etc. Nevertheless, I tried by best to represent core Roshar ideas using civ6 tools -Shinovar is super fertile, but have no strategic resources, Alethkar got war resources and wonders, there is Uranium in the place of every oathgate, the map itself is for 10 players, etc. I know this is far from perfect Roshar, but I had much fun doing the map and then playing it :)
Maybe in the future I will make some other civ6 maps for the worlds you are talking about if there are good map sources for them. I tried to make Shadesmar, but I didn't like the map so I never published it.

(part 2) I do highly anticipate a popular Cosmere Stellaris mod getting made 25 years from now when Space Opera era Mistborn is finally released. But in terms of 4x games and current Cosmere information I think that Crusader Kings for Roshar is the way to go (Mistborn eras 1 and 2 are a 3rd person adventure type of game). Not that the map is bad, it's just that this game is unsuited to representing Roshar. I do know that the legend Brando Sando himself is a huge CIV 6 fan, so if ever finds this mod on the workshop I hope he comments.

(part 1) The main problem with this is that all of the terrain types that exist on Earth (and are thus in the game) don't exist on Roshar outside Shinovar, and vice versa. So you would have to do a massive overhaul for different terrain, different resources, different units, different techs and civics, new civs, new events, and at this point you should just be using the Crusader Kings 3 mod. I really like the Cosmere but it's really hard to adapt to CIV. To be honest the planet Sel might be easier to adapt since it's more earthlike and the magic systems can be reduced to unique units and maybe buildings (though the distance thing might be weird to tackle). The problem of course being that much of Sel is unmapped. It's still probably better than Roshar though (or Scadrial, or Nalthis, or Taldain, or Ashyn, or Braize, or Vax, or Yolen, or First of the Sun, or Second of the Sun, or Third of the Sun, or Threnody, and I think that's all the known habitable planets).

Yeah, good call. Maybe Civ6 will implement seasons one day :)

Do you play Endless Legend? The Winter and Storms system there would fit a Roshar map very well, although it is nothing like what we see in Roshar.

I really hope one of the future game modes will bring wild mythic monsters to the game! They would fit this map very well. For the highstorms - apocalypse mode would be the closest one to play with
