How to make the visuals better.

For NVIDIA graphics card users only.

ENG:

First, go to local files of the game and rename game.exe from "Mafia3DefinitiveEdition" to "Mafia3". Without it, Nvidia Software cannot find the game process.



2021 UPDATE or The way to skip 2K Launcher
Open properties of the game on steam and set up launch options like this:


"The game path to executable file" %command%

Then launch the game and press "Alt + F3" or open Nvidia overlay by "Alt + Z" and choose filters as on screenshots. You may customize it as you wish. It's just only my settings.





Enjoy more sharpen and colorful visuals.

1. Для начала зайди в корневую папку игры и переименуйте ярлык игры в "Mafia3", чтобы ПО Nvidia смогло определить игру, так как после выхода DE ярлык изменил своё название.

This is odd: I did exactly the directions, please help.
I renamed the .exe as instructed. My path is now:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia III\Mafia3.exe

I put "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia III\Mafia3.exe %command%" (without quotes of course) into the STARTUP OPTIONS.

The result is Windows returns an error box; "Cannot find 'C:\Program'. "

Out of curiosity I removed the spaces from STARTUP OPTIONS to this:
C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia III\Mafia3.exe %command%

"Cannot find 'C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia III\Mafia3.exe'."

Why is it unable to parse the space after "C:\Program" and what should I do?

Как Nvidia до сих пор не исправила этот баг не понимаю 🥴

В definitive edition переименовываем exe в mafia3.exe , и запускаем с помошью этого exe , если хотите можете сделать ярлык на рабочий стол.
Главное не делать проверку целосности файлов , я сделал Steam докачал два файла , один из них тот же exe файл , но с названием definitive edition , короче качаю заново , так как она не запускается 😅
Хотите играть с нормальной графикой мучайся - 2k

I am here to say in 2024 that this works flawlessly, make sure you do everything in the order, plus you should in geforce expierence app scan for mafia 3 and make sure you have overlay on. and disabling 2k launcher is a must. Thank you

just rename to Mafia3 without .exe. It incloudes .exe then you renaming
