Digimon TCG 2020 Jogress Fan Format

Description
With the recent introduction of the newly released 2020 Digimon TCG, I decided a great addition would be a specialized 2v2 format for the game, similar to MtG's Two-Headed Giant, named Jogress (Joint Progress), which is known as DNA Digivolving in the english dub. This format focuses on teamwork, two-deck synergy, and a slightly higher power scale than the base TCG. This is a completely unofficial format and is in no way supported by the 2020 Digimon TCG.

What is Jogress?

Jogress is, at its core, a format very similar to the base TCG but with 8 special rules, as follows;

1) Both sides are made up of two players, who act during the same turn (phases must be taken at the same time in their normal order)
2) The memory gauge goes up to 15 instead of 10 (this is done in order to give a bit more breathing room when working with 4 players, and for the ability to raw play an iconic Jogres Digimon on turn 1; Omnimon, if you really want to give your opponent that much Memory)
3) Both players set up 5 Security Cards. When making a Security Attack, the defending players decide which pile to reveal cards from. If one pile is depleted in the middle of an attack that reveals multiple Security Cards, continue revealing cards from the second pile.
4) Any effects which say "Your" can target both players on a team. For example you can give your partner's Digimon a bonus from the card "Nuclear Laser" (BT1-092), and both partners gain the benefit of "Tai Kamiya" (ST1-12) during your turn. Another example would be that "Starlight Explosion" (ST1-14) would give a bonus to any Security Digimon revealed, no matter whose pile it is taken from.
4a) In the same way, any effects which say "Your opponent" can target both players on an enemy team. For example, "Guilmon" (BT2-009) would have its Inherited Effect activate if there are 5 or more cards in both opposing player's trash combined.
4b) As this is a fan format and the main game is not inherently designed for this type of tag team play, this may not always be the clearest or easiest ruling. As a general rule of thumb, if a card gives a bonus or targets/checks an entire zone in a normal match, use both opponents. However if a card normally only targets one thing such as a specific digimon, you still choose targets. Drawing or checking the top number of cards should be considered single target effects. Be sure to discuss any issues with the whole group and stick to whatever you rule for the rest of the game.
5) Players are also allowed to evolve their partner's Digimon, and either player may draw a card upon doing so (but not both).
6) A team of 2 players is only allowed 4 copies of any card between both decks. For example, if one player has 4 copies of "Tai Kamiya" (ST1-12) in their deck, their partner cannot have any copies of "Tai Kamiya" (ST1-12) in their deck. This can however be allocated in any way the players desire in a 4-0, 1-3, or 2-2 manner if they so choose.
7) If one player would bring the Memory Gauge past the "0" mark on the board, their partner is allowed to play one card which costs up to but not exceeding 3 Memory. This still changes the memory gauge as normal. Then the turn ends as normal.
8) The game is over when one team has no Security Cards remaining and is hit by a Security Attack, the same as a normal match. One player is not removed at a time, both players simply lose at once.

This table combines assets from several other mods to function, primarily Zaffy's base Digimon TCG Mod for card searching and deckbuilding functionality, but also includes assets from Dray's Digimon Models mod (contained in one of the bags), and the AKO Dice mod (Another Kind of Dice) by CR4YCR4Y (modified to have a shiny finish). I want to thank each and every one of them for their work and want to say I have no intention of stepping on any toes by including their mods within my work, and want to give credit where credit is due.

Please feel free to leave a message with any feedback, comments, or constructive criticism, I do want to try to improve the format, but I feel that as of right now the format is in a fairly good place. Playtesting has been limited to only a few matches so far, but we have experimented with several different decks and playstyles, so I feel confident enough in releasing the format as of right now.

Adding in the Gallantmon and Ulforceveemon and BT6 anytime soon?

No, when a team runs out of security, not a player.

So to win the game one person of the team just has to loose all 5 of their security and then get attacked for game?

you could always try asking Cake on the discord server if you could use his card pool

I'll see if I can figure something out for adding cards, but for now it may be better to save a deck from another mod and bring it here for the group games.

Do you have any plans on updating the card pool?
