Unlocking Survivor (Post Patch 1.0)
Introduction
As of patch 1.0, there are a total of 10 survivors available. Survivors are the playable characters in Risk of Rain 2. You will start with the Commando by default and can unlock the remaining characters by accomplishing various challenges.

Commando
(The Cornered Gunslinger)

The first character available to you.

Artificer
(Herald of the House Beyond)

The Artificer can be unlocked by spending 10 lunar coins to free her in the hidden realm - Bazaar Between Time.
Lunar coin is a currency dropped at random by enemies. Artificer can be found directly on the left side of the Newt. You can access the Bazaar Between Time by entering a blue portal that appears next to the teleporter. The portal can spawn in two ways:spending one lunar coin at a Newt Altar or having it spawn naturally on stage creation.

Engineer
(Fortification Expert)

The Engineer can be unlocked by completing 30 levels in total. The 30 levels do not need to be done in any specific manner or in the same run.

Huntress
(Judge, Jury, Executioner)

Clear 3 maps through the teleporter without dying.

Mercenary
(Hired Blade)

To unlock simply obliterate yourself at the Obelisk. The obelisk is found in the hidden realm - A Moment, Fractured which can only be accessed through a celestial portal. In order, to get a celestial portal to spawn, you have to loop at least once and reach the 3rd stage. Loop refers to returning to the 1st environment set(the 1st map) again. Once you have loop and reach the 3rd stage, the following text will appear: A celestial orb has spawned. Which is your cue that this is the stage that you enter the celestial portal
After entering the celestial portal, drop down from your platform and complete the jump puzzle to reach the obelisk. Interact with the obelisk to obliterate yourself, ending your current run.

MUL-T
(Right Tool for the Wrong Job)

Complete the first stage event by clearing the teleporter event in 5 separate runs.

REX
(Symbiotes)

Pick up the Fuel Array equipment from the back of the drop pod you arrive in. Take note that taking too much damage will instantly cause the Fuel Array to explode and kill you. You have to carry it until you reach the map - Abyssal Depth.
Travel to the top of the map using the jump pads and look for a robot covered in foliage. Interact with it to unlock REX.

Acrid
(Test Subject)

You have to access the blue portal to reach hidden realm - Bazaar Between Worlds (commonly accessed by spending one lunar coin at a lunar altar). The Null Portal is located directly below the platform that you spawn on.

Enter the portal and activate all 9 Cell Vents in the Void Fields. You have to stay within the perimeter after activation to complete the event. The Cell Vents can be found by looking for the beams of purple light extending into the sky.

Loader
(Bionic Powerhouse)

Loader is unlocked by breaking 5 eggs that spawn in the map - Siren's Call.
The eggs can be found around the map, when the eggs are broken the boss Alloy Unit will spawn. Defeat it to unlock Loader.

Captain
(Tired Veteran)

Beat the game by defeating the final boss. Go through all five maps's teleporters to reach the final boss.
Artifacts (Type and How to unlock)
Artifacts are Game Modifiers that are found in the world in-game. After unlocking an artifact you can activate it before the start of the run directly below the difficulty bar.

To unlock Artifacts you need to use the correct Artifact Code in Sky Meadow, using the Compound Generator below the map, then interacting with the laptop. A Portal to the trial for that Artifact in Bulwark's Ambry will spawn.

The Compound Generator will cycle in the order: square, circle, triangle, diamond (■ ● ▲ ♦)

In Bulwark's Ambry, the Artifact whose trial is being attempted will be active and an Artifact Key
will be on an elevated block in front of the Artifact Reliquary. The player must give the Artifact Key to the Artifact Reliquary, which will cause monsters to start spawning, with more Artifact Keys randomly dropping from killed monsters. Using an Artifact Key will remove them from all player inventories.

Upon destroying the Artifact Reliquary, the Artifact can be taken and a portal to a First Stage will appear. (Loop)

Final Boss Mithrix Guide
Map
You will face your final battle at the last stage of a typical run when you activate the primodial teleporter without changing its default settings.Upon entering the primodial teleporter, you will be transported to the moon of Petrichor V. The moon has a gravity effect when traversing. Upon arrival, you will notice a big ramp that leads you to a highway towards your final battle.Traversing you will face two types of monsters - Lunar Chimera Wisp and Lunar Chimera Golem. Reaching the end of the bridge you will find the bridge is in ruins and you have to traverse through the broken parts.
Before you head on, you might want to visit the :

  • Right side of the map for Lunar items
You might find up 0 -5 lunar pods that you can purchase. They are found on the ground or attached behind walls.

  • Left side of the map you will find the soup island
You will find cauldrons similar to the ones found in Bazaar between Time. There will be Green and Red for your selection. Identify the items you need and evaluate if it is worth the exchange before your final battle.

If you are satisfied with what you currently possess and is ready for the final battle, proceed on.
You will find 4 bounce orbs that will launch you the final platform for your inevitable showdown.

Enemies

Lunar chimera (Golem):
Health: 1900 (+570 per level)
Health Regen: 1.5/s (+0.3 per level)
Damage: 35 (+7 per level)
Speed: 8 m/s
It attacks by charging up its cannons and then firing multiple projectiles towards you.

Lunar chimera (Wisp): Health: 850 (+255 per level)
Damage: 15 (+3 per level)
Speed: 18 m/s

Lunar Chimera float around, similar to wisps. When it reaches a certain range of a player it will open fire in a similar manner to a Clay Templar.
Sporadically, it will also launch a slow-moving projectile similar to that of the Wandering Vagrant.

Mithrix, The King of Nothing
Mithrix, also known as the "King of Nothing" is the final boss of Risk of rain 2. The brother to the bulwark has 4 phases that you have to fight through to defeat him.
The arena where you fight him is round and flat with pillars around the edge of it holding a large ring around the arena. Once you arrive to the platform, move towards the blue anomaly in the center to start the cutscene. Mithrix will spawn and the fight will begin.

Do take note that there are ramps around the arena that you can use during the fight which is especially useful for Survivors with limited mobility.

Mithrix's stats are as follows:
Health: 1000 (+300 per level)
Damage: 16 (+3.2 per level)
Spe[/u]ed: 15 m/s
Armor: 20

Let the battle begin!
Phase 1
Mithrix will start by doing his basic attacks, which consists of running around, teleporting at you with his hammer, smashing the ground with his hammer to cause a shock-wave, and shooting you with needles similar to that of the Visions of Heresy. His more advanced attack is jumping into air of the center of the stage and slamming down, causing a 360 shock-wave around the stage. The wave ends when it reaches the thin line made of rocks between the platform where he is first seen and the outer platform with a small slope.

Phase 1 move set used:
1. Basic Swing towards you
  • (Mithrix will teleport and zoom towards you swinging the mighty hammer at you)
  • (To dodge the swing simply head to where he first teleported to)
  • (No need to dodge if you are far away)
2. Overhead Smash in front on him into onto the ground
  • (Mithrix typically teleports near you before using this)
  • (Normally used after his first few basic swing teleport attack)
  • (Slight delay when he is winding up, dodge by moving away from the point of impact)
3. Shooting projectiles akin to those from Vision of Heresy while running towards the target
  • (Mithrix typically uses this only when you are far away)
  • (Dodge by moving left or right of the projectile)
4. Jumping into the air, slamming down right in the center of the map to create shock waves across the map. )
  • (Mithrix typically uses this only when taken enough damage)
  • (You can avoid the shock wave by jumping over it as it move towards you or by standing on top of the ramps located around the map

Phase 2
Terrain changes (several stone pillars rise up) and several Lunar Chimera Golems and Lunar Chimera Wisps are summoned which must be defeated. Mithrix is not present during this phase while new chimeras are occasionally summoned. This phase is mainly just to check your damage output efficiency.
I prefer to go after the Wisp first as their attacks are the ones that will normally connect. Hiding behind pillars might provide some cover while baiting the Wisp to approach closer.

Phase 3
Mithrix comes back with more powerful and different attacks, occasionally summoning Lunar Chimera Golems and Lunar Chimera Wisps. His moveset is similar to the first phase but the attacks have additional effects to them. He also gets more aggressive and attacks more often. His slam will leave a lingering pillar of flames that will damage the player if they walk into it. After he lands from the jump he will summon moving lines of flame that spin around him and explode after a while, disappearing to make place for new ones. After four rotations, he will get up and begin attacking with his melee again.

It is possible to avoid the lines of flames by skidding up the ramps located around the arena during the four rotations.

Phase 3 move set used:
1. Smash attack that creates a shock wave and a flame pillar that can hit you in the air
  • ( Remember to jump when he smashes to avoid the shockwave)
2. Jumping into the air, slamming down right in the center of the map. Once Mithrix lands, he will summon lines of flames around him for four rotation.
  • (You can avoid this by walking in either direction to avoid the line or standing on top of the ramps located around the map.
  • Easier to avoid while grounded
  • After each burst, the spin will be in opposite direction and gets faster.

Phase 4
Mithrix steals all players' items and gains their buffs. Hitting him gives some items back. He will fire a burst of projectiles similar to those fired by using Visions of Heresy, slowly stomping around the battlefield. He will also occasionally kneel and fire fast travelling orbs in eight directions, simultaneously dealing a percentage of his current health in damage to himself.

It is possible to damage Mithrix once he is stealing your items, heck its the best time to burst him down! Just right before Phase 3 dies, make sure your equipment/skills are all ready.Try to play defensive until you get most of your items back, remember by surviving your dps will higher than being reckless and die. Understand what are some of the items you have so as to play around it. (I.e if you had a Tesla coil, keep your distance etc)
New move set used:1. Kneeling down occasionally to fire fast travelling purpleish orbs in eight directions.

Aftermath
Once Mithrix is defeatedthe Moon will begin a detonation sequence with an on-screen countdown. Surviving players have 4 minutes to get to the shuttle in order to escape. Sporadically, lines of flames will appear, similar to the columns used by some of Mithrix' attacks. Void Reavers will also spawn and attack the player.

Successfully making it to the shuttle will unlock the Captain as a playable Survivor, and, on Monsoon difficulty, will complete the The Calm challenge and unlock Purity.
Survivor Guide - Mercenary (Eclipsed)

Mercenary is my favorite both in style and kit. In this section, I will go through in detail my play style for Mercenary. Hey ever dreamt of being a bleach shingami or as Master Yi or as Levi hunting down titans (parent) ? Look no further, Mercenary is a melee survivor slicing, dicing, spinning and flying in one fun package. Designed to be a fast paced, high skill cap character that is easy to learn but takes time to master.

Basic Information

Invincibility - Periods of invulnerability where no damage can be taken. Displayed with a blue shield icon above your health bar.

Expose - Hitting exposed target boosts your next damage to the target affected by +350%, and reduces your cool downs by 1 second.

Skill

Passive: - Cybernetic Enhancements
Mercenary is able to jump twice by default, pairing this ability with Wax Quail is recommended as Quail boost both jump on Mercenary.

Primary - Laser Sword

Agile (Able to use it while sprinting)
Slice in front for 130% damage. Every 3rd hit strikes in a greater area and Exposes enemies.
Exposed boosts your next damage to the target affected by +350%, and reduces your cool downs by 1 second. Various techniques revolves around the 3rd swing for optimized gameplay.

Attack speed ( swing - 0.42, recover 0.62)
3 Swing Combo:
1st Swing
2nd Swing
3rd Swing - expose debuff (bonus damage)

Secondary - Whirlwind

Quickly slice horizontally twice, dealing 2x200% damage. If airborne, slice vertically instead. Provides great mobility and synergize very well with your kit. Can be used as a aerial jump to hover in the air.

Alternate Secondary - Rising Thunder

Unleash a slicing uppercut, dealing 450% damage and sending you airborne.
Rising Thunder provides higher damage and is much easier to proc bands without using expose debuff. When used, Rising Thunder provides aerial maneuvering as it sends you straight in the air bringing whoever is caught with you rendering them momentarily harmless.

Utility - Blinding Assault

Stuns enemy hit. Dash forward, dealing 300% damage. If you hit an enemy, you can dash again, up to 3 total. Our primary mobility skill, learning the distance will ensure you always hit the target intended. This ability is able to interrupt attacks from mobs (i.e laser from golem).

When using it, Mercenary will be invincible ( the blue shield above your health bar) for 0.5s after starting the skill which is useful for dodging hits. You have 2.66s to use it again after hitting an enemy before it returns to coo down. Point towards the sky and fly to one shots normal wisps.

The dash can be cancelled prematurely before it reaches its terminal ending distance by using your secondary skill. This allows streamlined combo for burst of damage in the shortest time possible (i.e swipe > dash > whirlwind)

Special - Eviscerate

Target the nearest enemy, attacking them for 110% damage repeatedly. You cannot be hit for the duration. By default, this skill will hits 7 times however it will scale with attack speed. (100% attack speed = 7 x 2 = 14 hits) During the duration of Eviscerate, you will be invincible useful for dodging hits.

Eviscerate will function like Blinding Assault when no enemies are found within its hit box!

Alternate Special - Slicing Winds

Fire a wind of blades that attack up to 3 enemies for 8x100% damage. The last hit Exposes enemies.

Hasagi! Mercenary slashes once and throws out a projectile, it will hit an enemy 8 times applying Exposed debuff. There is an idle animation after using, which can be cancelled using your secondary skills or blinding assault.

IItems with Mercenary name on it

Techniques
Vaulting
You can vault by using whirldwind on a slope

Sprinting
You should always be sprinting with mercenary as the laser sword has the Agile attribute. Charge up your laser sword combo while sprinting to charge your 3rd swing. Eviscerate/Blinding Assault will always end with you sprinting.

Yeeting
Using Blinding Assault at the perfect distance at a flying monster correctly, the mob will fly away from you and upon hitting any terrain will take huge damage. In the case of units like Alloy Worship you can send them upwards and out of the map, killing it instantly.

Animation Cancelling

Dash Cancelling
You can cancel blinding assault early by activating your secondary skills before you reach the end of the distance. This is an effective method to deal burst of damage within a short period.

  • Blind Assault > Secondary

Using Whirlwind
Post 1.0, we should play around the 3rd swing for the exposed debuff. So most animation cancelling should revolve around this.

There are two ways to perform said cancelling:

  • Technique 1 (Release) - Using Whirlwind during/winding up 3rd swing animation
Purpose: Streamlined dmg output, instant cooldown reduction
  • Technique 2 (Recovery) - Using Whirlwind after 3rd swing animation
Purpose: Extending the aoe/range of exposing debuff
Laser Sword Animation Cancelling using Whirlwind

Hidden Realms Pt.1
A Moment, Fractured
This stage can only be reached via the Celestial Portal, which spawns on every Third Stage after the first loop next to the Teleporter. It features multiple floating islands in a void, with sharp blue crystals embedded in them. As the player drops down, a path of glowing blue rocks will appear between each island, leading the player to the last area. The Obelisk can be found on top of the last island.

The player can interact with the Obelisk, being prompted if they want to obliterate themselves from existence, then being asked again if they are sure. Doing so the second time will end the run for all players, while also giving each 5 Lunar Coins.
Obliterating for the first time completes the True Respite challenge, which unlocks the character Mercenary, while obliterating with any Survivor on Monsoon completes their Mastery challenge, which unlocks that Survivor's skin.

If the player wants to continue the run, a portal will open up near the Obelisk (after interacting once) to the right side of the hill.

A Moment, Fractured also serves as a gateway to A Moment, Whole, an alternative ending Hidden Realm, accessed by interacting with the Obelisk while at least one player in the party holds the Beads of Fealty.

A Moment, Whole
It can be reached from the A Moment, Fractured, by obliterating at the Obelisk while at least one member of the team has a Beads of Fealty.

Upon arrival, one of four Twisted Scavengers will be sitting in front of the player. Upon killing the Twisted Scavenger, it will drop its sack and the screen will start to go black. Opening the sack will drop ten Lunar Coins. If the lunar coins are not picked up before the screen turns black, they will be automatically added to your current amount.

Completing the fight with any Survivor on Monsoon also completes their Mastery challenge, which unlocks that Survivor's skin.

If you die in this area it will not count as obliterating.

Bazaar Between Time
The Bazaar Between Time is a Hidden Realm Environment that can be accessed by entering a Blue Portal that appears next to the Teleporter.

This stage serves as the shop in Risk of Rain 2. You can purchase various Items with Lunar Coins or exchange items for better ones in the two crucibles. The time and difficulty-meters are paused while the player is in this map.
The Blue Portal can spawn in two ways:
  • Spending a lunar coin at a Newt Altar.
  • Having it spawn naturally on stage creation. There's an initial 25% chance for a stage to spawn a portal. This chance gets lower and lower as more portals are spawned through either method.
Regardless of the method the portal opens, a small, trailing blue orb will orbit the teleporter interactable and the text "A blue orb appears" will notify players a portal will spawn once the teleporter event is completed.

Newt, the shopkeeper, watches the player in the shop. It can be attacked, but if the player cannot kill Newt in time, they will be teleported to the portal area, and the shop will be sealed close. Currently, killing it does not affect the game, and Newt will be in the shop the next time. It has 500000 base health and 100 armor.
Lunar Buds - Newt offers a random selection of 5 Lunar items costing 2 Lunar coins that can only be purchased once each. Only items already unlocked can appear.
The trade-in Cauldrons can spawn any items from the Uncommon or Legendary pool, provided that, if in singleplayer, the player has previously obtained or cleared the requisite item's challenge or, if in multiplayer, that someone in the party has previously obtained or cleared the requisite item's challenge. 3 Common items are required to trade up to an Uncommon item, and 5 Uncommon items are required to trade up to a Legendary item. Cauldrons will prioritize Scrap when trading, see Item Scrap, White for details on Scrap trading behavior.
The survivor Artificer is locked in a crystal near Newt. Paying 10 Lunar Coins will free her, completing the Pause challenge and unlocking her as a playable character. This crystal only appears if at least one player in the lobby has not unlocked the character.
As of the Skills 2.0 update, the Lunar Seer was added to the Bazaar, which consist of two pedestals that each respectively display an image of one of the two possible Environments you will be going to next. By interacting with one of them you are able to predetermine which environment you will be going to next, at the cost of 3 Lunar Coins. It is also possible, albeit uncommon, for Gilded Coast to appear as an option for the seer. Unfortunately, if the lunar seer is used and then the player travels to the void fields through the null portal located under the bazaar, the lunar seer will not take effect and the cost will still be subtracted from the player's lunar coins.
The Null Portal is a type of Portal that teleports the player to the Void Fields, a Hidden Realm where the player can go through 9 waves of enemies to gain rewards, though the player is able to leave anytime through another Null Portal. It is accessed only once per run through the Bazaar Between Time, below the Blue Portal which the player exits. Dropping below the platform and into a green, misty cave in the wall will reveal a purple and black portal surrounded by dead Void Reavers. The portal appears to only be accessible once per run, going to the spot where the portal was after being used only shows the empty cavern, the environment around being stabilized again.

Hidden Realms Pt.2
Void Fields
The Void Fields are a Hidden Realm accessible only through the Bazaar Between Time. It is a necessary location for the challenge ...To Be Left Alone, which unlocks the character Acrid.

The Void Fields can only be accessed via the Null Portal located in the hidden cave in the shaft underneath the Blue Portal in the Bazaar, with the Null Portal only being accessible once per run.

Until the cell is stabilized, the Void Fields will constantly "suffocate" the player for a small percentage of their current health. This suffocation effect can kill the player.

To complete this Hidden Realm, players must activate and survive nine separate cell events. Each cell event will result in either a new type of enemy or a new item's effects being given to the current enemies. The first two given items will be Common items, the next two will be Uncommon, and the last will be a Legendary. By the end of the event, there will be four different enemy types with five items. Each cell must be charged in a similar fashion to teleporter events.

Upon each cell event's completion, the players will each be granted an item. The first four events grant Common items, next four grant Uncommon items, and the final will grant a Legendary item.

Gilded Coast
Gilded Coast is a Hidden Realm Environment that can be reached when the player enters a golden portal after activating an Altar of Gold or by using a pedestal at the Bazaar Between Time.

This area is where the player will fight the boss Aurelionite, the Titanic Goldweaver. Scattered across the map are seven Halcyon Beacons, each costing gold to activate. When the fourth Beacon is activated, Aurelionite will spawn. Halcyon Beacons have a base cost of $25, equal to the cost of a normal chest. This cost scales over time with each stage like all other interactable items.

While there are inactive Beacons, Aurelionite is invulnerable to all damage. After a certain time passes, Aurelionite will deactivate all Beacons, requiring the player to go through and buy them all again. Because of this,a strategy is to grind through mobs before Aurelionite spawns to save up a lot of gold.

Bulwark's Ambry
Bulwark's Ambry is a Hidden Realm accessed from Compound Generator in Sky Meadow.
Complete to unlock artifact that you keyed in. Interact with the cube in the center with artifact key to damage it.
Game Mechanics
Difficulty
Difficulty in Risk of Rain 2 can refer to two things: initial difficulty and scaling difficulty.

Initial difficulty in Risk of Rain 2 is selected along with the survivors before starting a run. The three difficulties are Drizzle, Rainstorm and Monsoon.

Scaling difficulty is a core mechanic of Risk of Rain 2. As a run progresses, the difficulty will steadily rise, making enemies both stronger and more numerous.

The steadily rising difficulty is represented in-game through a bar in the top right corner of the screen.

The difficulty indicator bar shows the selected initial difficulty, the current run timer and the current status of the scaling difficulty. As the bar progresses, it will pass through multiple named sub-difficulties.

The HAHAHAHA sub-difficulty is endless, although enemies will keep leveling up and the difficulty will keep rising even if the changes are not visible on the bar.

In addition to the increase over time, every time an environment is completed, the difficulty will jump forward, which will cause a spike in difficulty, and the bar will also increase faster. This increase is exponential, which means that as more Loops are completed, the game becomes exponentially harder.

For Indepth Math refer to this guide : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2200625979

Loop
Looping occurs after leaving the Sky Meadow by using the Primordial Teleporter in its shifted state, where the game will loop around to the first environment set.
Alternatively, you can enter the Bulwark Ambry to loop your run using the controls located directly below Shadow Meadow.

This repeats infinitely until the player obliterates themselves at the Obelisk in a Celestial Portal, beats the game, or dies.

Once you loop, several stages will have new enemies spawn on them, these being;

Jellyfish for Distant Roost and Titanic Plains
Hermit Crab for Titanic Plains
Alloy Vulture for Scorched Acres
Clay Templar for Abandoned Aqueduct
Void Reaver for Rallypoint Delta, Siren's Call and Sky Meadow

Family Events
Family Events are uncommon events which have a 2% chance to occur, and are signaled by a line of pink text at the beginning of a stage. Family Events restrict the kinds of Monsters that will spawn during the stage to specific, limited selections depending on the Event, including those spawned by and during the Teleporter Event.

Some Events can result in certain monsters spawning in Environments they otherwise wouldn't be able to (e.g. Stone Titans in Rallypoint Delta).

Interactables - Chests/ Shrines / Generic
Chests
Chests are the primary source of items in the game. All of these objects serve an important role in ensuring the survivors can continue their journey.

All chests and shops have a base cost that scales over time with each stage. These costs always maintain the same ratio relative to each other (i.e. a big chest will always cost twice as much as a normal chest). Default Costs are as follows:

Normal Chest: $25

Large Chest: $50

Legendary Chest: $400

Adaptive Chest: $50

Category Chest: $30

Equipment Barrel: $25

Shop Terminal: $45

Uncommon Shop Terminal: $90

Equipment Shop Terminal: $90

Shrines:
Shrines are objects that can have varying effects on survivors and the environment. Unlike chests, they generally feature more significant drawbacks to their usage, while offering unique rewards. Some shrines cost gold to use, similar to chests. The gold cost increases over time with each stage.

Shrine of the Mountain

Upon activation, the difficulty of the Teleporter Event will be increased by the spawn of additional bosses and/or by turning bosses into elite versions of themselves. In counterpart, upon defeating all the bosses the players will be rewarded with an additional copy of each item dropped by the Teleporter.

Shrine of Combat:

Upon activation, it will always spawn a group of a Monster found on the current Environment.

Shrine of Blood:

Upon activation, the player will sacrifice a percentage of his HP to receive gold. Generated gold is equal to half of the HP taken (e.g. 50 HP yields 25 gold).

Shrine of Chance:

Upon purchase, the player will have a chance to receive an item of a random rarity or a random equipment. [+40% current cost per use (rounded down, usable until two items are rewarded)]

Shrine of the Woods:

Upon purchase, it will create a circular field on the ground around it that heals all allies.[ +50% current cost per use (rounded down, usable up to three times)]

Altar of Gold:

Upon purchase, it will spawn a Golden Portal once the Teleporter has finished charging. Entering this Portal will take the player to the Gilded Coast. (only one use)

Drones:
Drones can be purchased to repair them from their broken state and use them. They help you on your task by providing damage or healing output.

All drones level up along with their owner.

Drones have a varying base cost that scales over time with each stage. The base costs are as follows:

Emergency Drone
Once purchased, the Emergency Drone flies close by and follows your survivor. It is possible to bind more than one Emergency Drone to your survivor. After finishing the Teleporter Event, the Emergency Drone travels to the next Environment with you.

Much like its brethren, the Healing Drone, the Emergency Drone also heals your survivor, as well as various other companions such as other Drones and Beetle Guards. It is much more expensive than healing drones. However, unlike the Healing Drone, it can heal much more rapidly, with its healing rate outmatching that of a Clay Templar's rapid-fire.The Emergency Drone can also heal multiple allies at once.

Equipment Drone
It operates by using an Equipment you give it. Instead of costing Gold as with most drones, it requires 1 equipment to activate, and it will automatically use the provided equipment each time the item cooldown has refreshed.

Gunner Drone
Once purchased, the Gunner Drone follows you from a close distance and shoots targets. It is possible to bind more than one Gunner Drone to your survivor.

Healing Drone
Once purchased, the Healing Drone flies close by and follows your survivor. It is possible to bind more than one Healing Drone to your survivor. After finishing the Teleporter event, the Healing Drone travels to the next environment with you.

Incinerator Drone
Once purchased, the Incinerator Drone gets close to enemies it sees and burns them.

It is possible to bind more than one Incinerator Drone to your Survivor.

Missile Drone
Once purchased, the Missile Drone follows you from a close distance and shoots targets. It is possible to bind more than one Missile Drone to your survivor

TC-280 Prototype
A rare Drone found only on Rallypoint Delta.

It is a lot more expensive than other drones, costing roughly as much as a Legendary Chest[requires testing], but is accordingly powerful (and much larger) relative to other drones.

Despite this, the drone is likely to die quickly during lategame, limiting its usefulness beyond the first two or three Loops.

Others
Teleporter
The Teleporter is a unique circular Interactible located in all main Environments. The orange particles it emits can be seen from a distance. Finding and activating the Teleporter are major objectives in each main stage.
Sky Meadow has a unique Teleporter, called the Primordial Teleporter, which can be used to access Commencement and the final boss. Rings on the outside of the Teleporter can be interacted with prior to starting the Teleporter Event to either align with the moon, accessing Commencement, or to align with the planet, which continues your run as normal.

Newt Altar
One or more Newt Altar can be found on every level, usually hidden or on hard to reach areas of the Environment. There are 3 to 5 possible newt altar spawn locations per stage.

Donating a Lunar Coin will spawn a Blue Portal once the Teleporter has finished charging. Entering the Blue Portal will take the player to the Bazaar Between Time.

Launch Pad

Launch Pads are Interactibles that can be used to launch the player in the air, making navigation through the stage easier.

Radio Scanner
The Radio Scanner is an Interactible that can spawn on all Environments, except Hidden Realms. Upon purchase, the entire stage will be scanned and the Environment Data of the corresponding stage will be downloaded from the Radio Scanner.

Once the Environment Data of a stage has been acquired, the Radio Scanner will never spawn again on that stage. In multiplayer, having at least one member of the party who doesn't possess the Environment Data of a stage will allow the corresponding Radio Scanner to spawn.
Trivia (Secrets/Easter)
Guaranteed Legendary Chest in Abyssal Depths
There is a legendary chest hidden in Abyssal Depths that is guaranteed to drop a Legendary item when opened. It can be located hidden within a small cave underneath two rock platforms. Might have to sell your kidneys though..

Free Preon Accumulator in Rallypoint Delta

There is a timed security chest that can be found within the map that when opened gives you a Preon Accumulator. In order to open it, you would have to reach the chest within 10 minutes from the start of your run. There will be light beacons in front of the spawn so look for it to know the spawn.

There are three possible spawns for the chest:

  • on top of the hill next to a radar tower
  • inside a large container near ground level
  • inside an open container on top of a stack of containers.

Ancient Gate In Abandoned Aqueduct
In the Abandoned Aqueduct map, there are two pressure plates that spawn in randomly selected locations around the map. When both are activated at the same time the Ancient Gate located at the back of the map will open.
Players will encounter two Elite Elder Lemurians; Kjaro and Runal owner of the respective bands. Upon their death, they will drop a Kjaro's Band and a Runald's Band respectively, and will complete the challenge "Death Do Us Part" as well as unlocking both the Kjaro's Band and Runald's Band.

The plates can be activated by players as well as any weighted objects, including Pots, Engineer's turrets, Loader's M551 Pylon, Captain's Orbital Supply Beacon, and Effigy of Grief.

Pressure Plate Spawn Location:

1. Next to a rock just across the hole from the gate.

6. Next to a rock between the tunnel and hole in the open section of the map.
7. Hidden in a bush next to a rock beside the hole that the Aqueduct flows into.
8. Hidden between two rocks in the middle section beneath the Aqueduct.

N'kuhana Altar
Under the cliff on the map, there is a gap where the player can enter which leads through a tunnel to the Altar to N'kuhana. The Altar to N'Kuhana consists of a large hole with a yellow skeleton dangling above it. Destroying the skeleton will complete the challenge unlocking N'kuhana's Opinion. Jumping into the pit below the skeleton will teleport the player back to the normal map area.
