ФРГ - Федеративная Республика Германия основана в 1949 году. До воссоединения Западной и Восточной Германии (ГДР) столицей ФРГ был Бонн. Германия - федеративная демократическая парламентская республика. С 1990 года, после воссоединения, в состав ФРГ входят 16 федеральных земель. Главой государства является федеральный президент, главой федерального правительства - федеральный канцлер. Однопалатный парламент Германии - бундестаг избирается сроком на 4 года. Прошедшие в парламент партии образуют коалиционное правительство и выбирают канцлера.

German Democratic Republic (GDR) (German Deutsche Demokratische Republik, DDR); unofficially also East Germany (German Ostdeutschland) - a socialist state that existed on the territory of Central Europe, from October 7, 1949 to October 3, 1990

The GDR was formed on October 7, 1949 on the site of the former Soviet occupation zone of Germany in East Germany, 5 years after the end of the Second World War.
The GDR was one of the main members of the OVD socialist alliance until the destruction of the Berlin Wall and the unification of Germany in 1990.
Taking over the socialist political regime from the Soviet Union, the GDR was one of the leading countries of the socialist camp throughout the history of the Cold War.
