Works in Multiplayer

Wrap up warm, because the cold is now lethal.

The Easy Mode of this mod will make the temperature range between -10C (14F) in summer and -60C (-76F) in winter.

The Normal Mode of this mod will make the temperature range between -30C (-22F) in summer and -80C (-112F) in winter.

The Hard Mode of this mod will make the temperature range between -45C (-49F) in summer and -155C (-247F) in winter.

The Permanent Snow option can be enabled in addition to one of the difficulty settings to enable an almost permanent snowstorm.

This mod is best played with instant power shutoff, since buildings have magic heating systems that can somehow keep an entire building at 22C despite it being -100C outside, and part of the challenge is you don't get a nice warm magic heated house.

Only enable the difficulty of this mod you want to use, if you enable multiple difficulties it's not going to work as intended.
For MP: After enabling the mod in the Steam Workshop settings for your server, go to the mods settings and remove the two difficulties of the mod that you don't want to use, if you do not want a permanent snowstorm, then also remove permanent snow.

This mod may conflict with some other weather changing mods, combine at your own discretion.

This mod does not work with the following mods:
- Project Russia Media 0.3.0

The mod does not work in the Winter is Coming challenge, but should work in all other modes and challenges.

Currently playing it with Hypothermia Kills added and instant shutoff. Currently making a dash to the Survivalist store in LV to get some winter gear, only place i know that guaranteed to have em.

Power on or not, you WILL experience the cold once you go outside which you have to do, so ignore that whiner a few posts down.

BTW I'm also looking for a "natural freezer" mod for cold weather.

Works in Build 41.78 + MP.

it all works perfect, can't play now without it, CUDOS for that for sure!

the only question -- is there some mod or at least ability to add mechanics like food won't spoil when it's outside ( its -30-40 C and food still spoils and doesn't freeze). It's more like a question to a community :)

Mod is balanced, playing with instant shutoff on normal mode (for now), started with easy mode. Population is fine too.

this mod was balanced for instant power shut off and is intended for use with instant power shutoff, it is entirely possible to avoid hypothermia, even on hard mode, with instant power shutoff, i did not spend over 100 hours total testing each difficulty before release for no reason, this mod is supposed to be difficult, if instant power shutoff is too difficult for you then you are free to keep power on, but do not claim the mod is "not balanced" simply because it is harder than what you enjoy

Just saying, but this mod is by no means balanced for instant power shutoff. You'll usually be at minimal temps by the time you find any decent clothing. For someone who plays with the mod 'Hypothermia Kills', it's just unplayable even on normal mode.

this mod is technically both, but if the cold all year round is too much for you then i think there are some fan made versions of the mod that may work for you, search the workshop for cryogenic and you should find them
