DMC | Ultimate Guide to play with any Controller

Have Trouble to connect a gamepad !?
This Guide will show some ways you can connect your controller to play DMC,
I recommend having a PS4 or Xbox One controller because they are the best optimized Controllers out there.
Just follow the steps and i hope it helps :)

- The Best way for any controller

The Normal way to add a controller to your steam :

1 - In the Steam client window, select View > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings.

















2 - You should see your controller under Detected Controllers. Select the box of what controller do you use ( PS4 , Xbox , Switch , etc Configuration Support). Plug in your controller to the pc and see if its detected

(In this exemple i use my PS4 controller)





3 - Select Submit to save your changes.

- Windows 10 Xbox Controller

Windows 10 required
1: Connect your USB cable to your powered-on Windows computer

2: Connect the Micro USB end to your Xbox One controller.

3: Press the Xbox logo on your controller to turn it on. (If the logo briefly flashes and then turns off, your battery may be low, or the cable your using may only be for charging and not for data. If you
know your controller is charged, try using a different Micro USB cable.)

4: Enjoy your games. Once connected, Windows 10 should automatically detect the Xbox One controller, and you’ll be able to use it with games that support controller input.

- PS4 ultimate way

Just install the software DS4 : http://ds4windows.com/












its very easy to use , just connect your Dualshock 4 to the pc with the ds4 opened and should be done!

- Connect your controller using Bluetooth

if your controller is bluetooth
1: Navigate to Settings on your PC and click Devices.

2: Click the Bluetooth settings option to make sure your Bluetooth is turned on. Stay in this menu.

3: Press the Guide button and then the sync button on your controller. The logo should start blinking rapidly.

4: On your PC, choose Add Bluetooth or other device, and click Bluetooth. This tells your PC to look for your controller.

5: Once it shows up, choose Xbox Wireless Controller to finish the pairing process.

Thank you so much.. I just bought the DMC HD Collection and i had troubles with the controller joystick to get recognized, this helped me to find the Steam input compatibility option that allowed my controller to work perfectly :)

x360ce for use gamepads as xbox gamepad, is nice for this trilogy.

You can still get sound if you use a cord with a PS4 controller. The audio problem may be because most computers will default to using the PS4's headphone port, labelled "Headset Earphone". It's annoying, but easily fixable. No need for Bluetooth.
With the PS4 controller plugged in with a cord, go to "settings", "system", "sound", then choose your preferred output device

When you add your controller Don't use a cord to use the controller, you will not have sound. Connect the controller using Bluetooth. Also press and hold the Share button with the power button (on the controller) for the Bluetooth ping so you can pair it to the pc.
