(In-Depth) Among Us Guide

An in-depth guide for Among Us players, as some things confused me prior, it may have confused you as well.
This guide includes detailed maps, important locations, vent locations and its connections, as well as how to complete each task.

Overview

Among Us is a game of teamwork and betrayal (mostly betrayal) in space, but beware, one or more players are randomly chosen as an impostor and will try to kill the rest of the crew. Players are either Crewmates or an Impostor and each game requires 4 to 10 players online or via local WiFi.

Note: Game is free on both Android and iOS and is cross-platform with PC players.

Rules

To keep the game fair between the crew and impostor(s), no talking is allowed outside of the discussion phase.
If a player is killed by the impostor, they cannot talk until the game ends.
Ghosts still need to finish their assigned tasks to work toward a crewmates completion win.

If playing in discord, it is highly recommended to mute yourself outside of the discussion phase. Sometimes players make noises or continue to make comments when they should be silent. This may give away clues and would be unfair to the players.

Note: As a dead player, dead crewmates still need to complete their tasks, and the dead impostor can still sabotage. Dead players can see the entire text chat, while the living players cannot see what the dead players type.

• Win by completing tasks to prepare the ship or ejecting all Impostors.
  
• React quickly to undo the Impostor's sabotages.
  
• Check the Admin map and Security cameras to keep tabs on other Crewmates.
  
• Report any dead bodies immediately to start discussion of who the suspected Impostor is.
  
• Call emergency meetings to discuss suspicious behavior.
  
• Vote to eject suspected Impostors.

• Kill crewmates and frame bystanders.
  
• Pretend to run tasks to blend in with the crewmates.
  
• Sneak through the vents to quickly move about the ship.
  
• Use sabotages to cause chaos and divide the crew.
  
• Close doors to trap victims and kill in private.

Additional Information

Note: All players have access to a personal map to help them navigate the ship (see Map for details). This map does not appear during emergency meetings, so it would be useful to keep a map on the side for reference.

Freeplay Mode

Start as survivor
If you call a meeting, everyone will kill you, so you can be a dead survivor.

To be an impostor, go to the laptop found at the starting area.

General

• If enabled, certain tasks will have visuals you can confirm for crewmates. e.g. MedBay Scan and pulling the trash chute
  
• On the Polus map, if one crew gets the key task or the swiping card task, all crewmates will get it. i.e. You can snipe out the impostors or bait them.

Updates

Update 20201012

• The voting process can now be anonymized, making it impossible to find out who voted for who during an emergency meeting.
  
• Players can choose when the task bar will appear during game (e.g. 'always', only during 'meetings', or 'never'). It will be defaulted to 'always.'
  
• Electrical wires task now have specific shapes along with a corresponding color, making it more user friendly for color blind players.
